Hi, I want to give you a little information about myself, Uncle Gary.
I am a true Jack-of-all-trades in building, remodeling, gardening, and homesteading.
At an early age, before high school graduation, there wasn’t much that I didn’t try, just to see if I could.
I would catch trout out of the streams around my home and cook them over an open fire, on a stick,
In the same streams were areas with a crayfish population, which looked like mini lobsters, and tasted good boiled with some butter.
Some more out-of-the-ordinary things that my buddy Vern and I did were:
Melt aluminum
Make a still (and blow it up)
Make fireworks
Build numerous tree forts and even dug a tunnel fort
Make snare traps
Building go-carts
Raising pumpkins and chickens
Riding cows and horses
At the age of 14 I helped my father build a house in Washington State (wood frame)
At the age of 16 we built 2 barns, one for livestock and a machinery storage barn
At the age of 18 I helped my father build a house in Florida (masonry)
Then at the age of 22 my father and I cut the logs and had them milled so we could build my house in 1984
I haven’t stopped building, remodeling, or trying new things
