Many of you in this comment section need to rest and give it up for the South Africans. South Africa alone has successfully created and exported more than 10 genres of music. And I'm not talking about your local village genres that remain just within your communities; I mean genres that are internationally recognized. How many can each of your countries boast of? 🤔 And I'm not even South African. So when it comes to music genre creation, leave it to them.
Hi, bro you are doing a great job... but I will suggest you create a channel for piano tutorial, pls...
Frfr💯👌🏾
Frfr
Exactly
I find this interesting, thanks for this wonderful idea bro, but I trust emotionkontrolla though, he's always ready to breakdown everything in detail
If u wanna understand why it is called AMAPIANO watch this music video of MFR Souls - Love You Tonight ft. DJ Maphorisa, Sha Sha, Kabza De Small
and u will literally understand
SA's amapiano got to air the world through hitting dance challenges
You're right, this is the best channel on RUclips, you are very knowledgeable, and funny. Thanks for all you do.
This guy should be everything producer, dj, singer, comedian i cant mention all
Wait until you hear that the Wizkid song came about because Wizkid (a Nigerian) put DJ Maphorisa (one of South Africa's biggest producers) on the sound when Amanpiano hadn't blown up. It gained even more traction in South Africa thanks to DJ Maphorisa and other renowned artists, inspiring Davido and the rest of Nigeria to adopt it.
Once again SA proves how influential they are in Africa. SA has the most grammy wins in all of Africa and now giving us another genre of music we can export internationally besides afrobeats 🇿🇦🇿🇦. Proud to be South African. We’ve always had a unique vibe that sets us apart from other African countries
Without d afro artist fro Nigeria amapiano would hv b useless so b proud of Nigeria artist first .....then thank Nigeria artist lastly before b proud of SA
The accuracy tho' 😭. Y'all been winning the Grammys since the 1980s
@@kelvinsamson903 😂😂😂 amapiano was popular before Nigerians hopped on it that’s why they started to hop on it. Nigerians do great with afrobeats but amapiano is ours and always will be. Thank SA for giving you artists like Asake who he himself said that amapiano is a huge part of his music and he probably wouldn’t exist without it
@@pump1180 SA created only beat without vibes and lyrics😹😹😹....
Com on afro will forever b bigger dan d full SA ... But show som appreciation for we Nigerians published it wit sweet melody's vibes and lyrics d facts is as bold u guys knw d truth
@@kelvinsamson903 we have the most Grammys in africa without Nigerians help 😂. We good thank you. If Nigerians want to use our sound in their music that’s fine but they mustn’t confuse it for an invitation. We never asked Nigerians to come into our genre they decided because they knew our music would sell well and it does. Amapiano is not just log drums please do you’re research before talking about a genre of music you clearly learn about from tiktok
Did he just made a remix AMAPIANO version of how deep is your love? Omg this guy is genius... The breakdown of step by step....
You’re really great at what you do…keep it up 🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾. Your videos are really captivating too🤩🤩
That's the reason I was quick to jump on amapiano cause I used to play alot of house and a little of kwaito
Great content as always
Greatly under appreciated for the amount of work he puts into his videos, keep going man ♥
I tell alot of my friends that are even telling me update on ur channel men u know how keep a fan

yoh my first time encounter your channel love the way you edit your vidz keep it up
Thanks bro
DEFINITELY TELLING A FRIEND THAT WILL TELL A FRIEND 👍
The breakdown yho!!
Great job man... You should have a new channel for piano tutorials. The way you explain stuff is unique
Sounds like a different type of the 808 beat but hey love the breakdown and i rock this music with passion!!!
My favorite RUclipsr ❤
Yes this genre is dope i slept also didnt know what it was them basses and and drums are sick
Yep
7:38 U Wan The Ladies To Kidnap You😭🤣 Best Channel On RUclips Aswear🤍🕊️ Amapiano To The World🌍💙
True that, Nigerians added more lyrics to Amapiano. But the South Africans showed how creative and influential they are by recreating their very kwaito into something new.
Which amapiano do you listen to? Cause there’s plenty of South Africans amapiano with lyrics the problem is you all get you’re music from tiktok
For me it is no sense of shame, jumping from one false claim to another, in endless attempts to claim amapiano. Now it is lyrics, in one podcast they said they made it more danceable!
Amapiano is South African period - music, dance, culture and lifestyle, and South Africans will educate the world whenever impostors rear their ugly heads. Fortunately there is only one impostor nation and everyone knows who they are. I respect Davido for having respectfully declared he is 'only a guest in the amapiano house'.
@@chrishlongwa6376 get help. Whether Nigerians made it danceable or what. Amapiano belongs to Mzansi. Didn't hip hop originate from USA? Yet south Africa has a music genre called south African hip-hop. The origin never fades
I dey feel you pass 😂
SA are creativity truely
Nice keep it up
8:24😂😂😂Carry you go where you no know
This guy is intelligent mehn ✨✨ Release that remix please 🙏🏽
Amapiano before 2020 had piano in it. Thats why its called amapiano. What you have been hearing after 2019 is not amapiano, its a ďerivative of it. Its what drill is to hip hop.
i am actually late today but firstly, Amapiano originated from a genre called Bacardi which is similar to house and it's pronounced kwa yi to. you are welcome 😅
this guy is crazy funny dawg🤣😂
Broo 😂😂💔
Your sense of humor is beyond the roof
I like your contents bro
I've following your channel for a long time.
Hope you get to collaborate with korty someday

Love from Cameroon🇨🇲💚🤍🌹😂😂😂
man your story telling is some top tier s$#%t😂😂😂🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Well shout out to the djs, neptune was first to introduce the genre then kaywise during the lock down and big wiz our very own machala has his influence too cause he got maphorisa, kabza de smallz etc hooked up on it too
??? 😂. Maybe for Nigeria but amapiano has been big in SA for a very long time before Nigerians took notice
In Nigeria, Rexxie is one of the first.
@@johnson6294dj tunez
am house producer especially in latin sound with minimalist sound and percusive groove, just started to into amapiano ,is amapiano is the same brothers to afrobeats? ( like uk garage & house ) or it's different? , i thought it was afrobeats with log drum added lol, and also the original sounding of amapiano is from south africa? then it cames to west africa, it got popular & more commercial as it now? ( same story like detroit techno was invented and got exported to berlin)
@emotioncontrolla In early Amapiano songs, even before the log drum was introduced in the genre, you would get these jazz or piano solo's which they would play. You rarely hear them on the popular/ commercial songs now but when you listen to albums, you will hear these piano solo melodies. Artists like Kelvin Molmo, Gaba Canal, MFR Souls heavily still use the piano/ jazzy element. They just are unknown outside SA so you won't hear that piano sound that much. That's were the name Amapiano comes from. MFR Souls coined the term Amapiano and they used these piano melodies.
Well said... I write a piece in the comments regarding this as well. Most west africans (Ghana and naija) are very ignorant about this whole Amapiano genre.
Back then they used to play keys in it
“Were two pillars, if you know what I mean”
You’re a bad boy 😂
The Victony transition was too clean.. Yo!!!
Please do omah lay's deluxe album reaction abegggg
Very funny 😂😂
yesssssss
Pls drop it
Bro why haven’t you reviewed Omah Lay’s Boy Alone deluxe?
Oga what's ur review on ojapiano you've just over looked it and review the ones it came out b4.
I'm studying it 🌚
this thing that amapiano doesn't have lyrics is very ignorant because it's said by people who aren't tapped into the sound. also, stop discovering amapiano on tik tok.
As you said you where not knowing about this genre, Nigerians didn't put lot of lyrics to it, is just that you don't understand our languages, make proper research
You obviously said something nobody has said in the history of shaping the music industry “Dj’s” so…underrated
Guy you funny 😝😝😝😝😝
If your history of amapiano starts in 2020... just let it go.
I too like you aswear 😂🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Amapiano is new kwaito
Great content as usual, please a kind request, I so much love the Rema - Charm Remix/Refix you did, I would appreciate it if you could release the full version of it. # The Only True Great Africa Emotion Kontrolla 🎉

Piz help him I have been with your account for 1 year
Hi bro where you dey I get business ✅
It started in pta
please what is the title of that song you said you love?
Abalele by Ami Faku
The first Nigerian to jump on an amapiano beat and created a hit was MAYORKUN - OF LAGOS (Produced by Fresh). It wasn't Davido, Wizkid or Burna.
I think Zinoleesky promoted it a lot then
first!🎉
Swears bro ilog drum
Nigerian artists makes it popular
I wish i could double subscribe
Taking chunks from a BBC amapiano documentary without properly crediting it? (From an excellent BBC amapiano doc by a South African journalist, nogal). Not unlike some Nigerians shamelessly claiming ownership of amapiano phenomenon, without honestly properly crediting South Africa genius? Theft or plagiarism, on both cases, sir?
Shout out to dj neptune and Wizkid
Burna verse on that song got SPONONO
Unpopular Opinion: Asake and Magic Sticks are running the Amapiano sound in Africa. These men have been dropping Yanos hits consistently over the past two years and Asake is doing better than our SA artist internationally. My fellow South Africans will fight me on this but they don't even listen to music outside SA.
Lastly, Nigerian fans must stop this thing of calling Amapiano a sub-genre of Afrobeats or calling an Amapiano song sang by Niaja artist Afrobeats when you can hear the shakers, the horn, the log drums, etc. Afrobeats never used these elements before but now you hear them on a lot of "Afrobeats" songs. We've seen how Ghana has been erased by clueless fans from Afrobeats history.
We won't let that happen here in the South.
You are right on all fronts. I hope the Nigerians agree with you.
I don't like Nigerian fake Amapiano it just doesn't hit like S.A. Nigerians do a fusion anyway so it's not really Amapiano. 😂I know you love the jollof dudes but take pride in your country's music. Anyway, your probably Nigerian. 😂
We use shakers in afrobeats music your statement overall is false....and what signigicans is Ghana in afrobeats history was it created by ghanians?
Uncle waffles played at coachella and has a BET award nomination for amapiano not Asake? He doesn’t make amapiano he just uses the amapiano sound for afrobeats because afrobeats is popular but it doesn’t do anything for the amapiano movement cause now people think simple using log drums equals amapiano and it doesn’t.
As a Nigerian, I 100 % agree
Amapiano is a whole different genre and just because we Nigerians love the sound and are inspired by it doesn’t mean we should put it under AFROBEAT..
but unfortunately it is actually the western media that tries to group amapiano under Afrobeat
This all started with the name “afrobeatssss” like what is the S for? And it was created to purposely group all sounds from Africa.. which to me is Trash
Amapiano has come so far and I can tell you every Nigerian is proud to see SA going worldwide.. it gives us joy and we want to see AMAPIANO in bold letters on big stages
Not only Afrobeat
There is so much amazing music in Africa and every one should get to shine
AMAPIANO is dope 🔥
No bro I didn't I was actually an advocate
Second
Jealousy
N it too much
No bro mfr souls is the founders of amapiano m South Africa nlxa

You secretly hating on Nigeria, period
You should be thanking ASAKE o....
All you do now is create a content about ASAKE...
Artist plenty o

Amapiano never started in Soweto. they started in Katlehong and Alexander. south Africa. Soweto just popularized it
Where's Omah Lay's reaction bruh? No one does it better than you.
Amapiano would hv b usless and silent to d nations so ....SA should thank Nigerians and Nigeria artist first before b proud of amapiano bcoz we published it to d word for dem .....
Not true. TikTok made Amapiano trend. Before Asake, the amapiano dance challenge s were all over the internet.
@@eline.m2186 they fighting very hard to give themselves credit for a wave they just hopped on but didn’t create
@@pump1180 it didn't still stop d fact amapiano would hv silent if we d Nigerians and our artist didn't bring it out wit our huge platforms.....SA only created we knw but can't vibe on it 😹😹

@@kelvinsamson903 😭😭 the amapiano Nigerians make isn’t even amapiano it’s just log drums. The only real amapiano songs were Ke star remix by Davido and champion sound. The rest were just Nigerians abusing the log drums in their afrobeats and then calling it amapiano 😂. Amapiano was already big in europe before Nigerians came on it and also the genre wasn’t designed to go international that’s why most songs aren’t even in English. Cause it’s for us not for the world.
You talk rubbish too much, how did Soweto collect with this topic
Because Soweto is the name of the township were amapiano was born along with other important South African music and history
