I just finished binge-watching all the videos you have posted so far. I am so, so, so grateful to you. Most people post tutorials for basic designs in Canva. You are on a whole new level. And you make the process so unintimidating. I have learned so much--not just about design, but also about using Canva in ways I didn't know I could. Thank you for starting this channel and sharing your Canva knowledge and graphic design skills.
Oh Wendy! Thank you SO MUCH for your kind words! You totally made my day! I really appreciate you taking time to watch the lessons and I'm so glad you find the Canva tutorials helpful! @@rigelr5345 I did! Rather than planners, I took the same design concepts and made digital journals with prompts. I did put them on Etsy and have sold some.
@@rigelr5345 Yes, but it's all about perspective. With my first few journals, I had to take the time to learn how to design them and how to create Etsy listings. If I were to add up the hours it took to create them and divide it by the money I made, you could say it wasn't worth it. However, I took what I learned from those first journals and I used the designs as templates. Production got faster and easier. What once took 4-5 hours now takes less than one. Now, a year or so later, I have a couple of Etsy shops that bring in s few sales each day without me doing anything. I'm not getting rich, but it's a good feeling when a bit of money trickles in. It also adds up. Also, I'm not getting rich because I'm not putting much effort into those shops by promoting them nor adding more products (at this time). I'm having to focus on other things in my life right now. If you're wondering if selling digital products would be worth your time, yes, it would. Even if you made no money, you'd still develop a lot of skills and acquire a lot of knowledge you could use in other ways or use with Etsy in the future. It's not a scam. As a buyer, I myself have bought the same kind of products I have made. There's a market for so many digital products.
I just found you and i'm hyped. I have searched for digital planner creation for weeks and your tutorial surpasses all that I saw. It was not rushed and everything was explained so a novice like me could understand. This is just awesome, I appreciate you and thank you for this. God bless.
This tutorial by far has been the easiest to follow, thank you so much for this. I was stumbling for several days with various productivity tools trying to create from scratch my own personal-financial digital planner and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your ease of use of the Canva program. Thank you so much for this video. It has been really useful for me. I was wondering how digital planners were made but all the tutorials were about importing them and not about making them. Thank you so much!
Hi, thanks for a fantastic clear video. Only thing I dont get is - wont buyer end up downloading the background of the planner too? What makes that separate from the journal pages?
The idea of the planner background is to make the digital planner looks more realistic as if you have the planner on a table top. The main difference between a different planner and separate journal pages is that the former has hyperlinked tabs that can help you 'jump' from one section of the planner to another.
This was great. I consider myself competent with many aspects for Canva but new to digital products. New subscriber and I just purchased some templates from your newsletter. Excited to practice more.
I'm glad you found my Canva tutorial helpful and thank you for joining my newsletter and purchasing the templates! I hope you will continue to enjoy being in my community and growing alongside our members too!
You can decide what pages you want or don't want or just change the page order. It's your planner design so you get to choose! But note that any changes in page numbers or order will affect the hyperlinks so just make sure to check that the hyperlinks are going to the correct pages when you click on them.

If you want to create a fillable PDF planner, then you'd need to use external platforms like PDFescape.com to add fillable fields in your PDF planner.
As long as you download the digital planner as a PDF file (make sure it's NOT flattened at the point of downloading), you can open it with any app that allows you to open PDF files and you can either use a stylus to write on the digital planner or apps with note-taking abilities like GoodNotes. Yes, the hyperlinks will still work.
You'd need to create that in separate Canva projects and then export each of the project as PowerPoint file. Then combine the PowerPoint files into one and then add the hyperlinks inside PowerPoint. I am working on a tutorial to show you how. Please kindly stay tuned. Thank you!
It's entirely up to you. I don't do it for the planners I design because as a user, I wouldn't like to see the logo on the planner. But if you can put it rather small, like a watermark - visible but inconspicuous - then I suppose that's fine. But once again, I don't think there's a right or wrong, it's really your personal preference.
You can download your planner as a PDF file and then import on note-taking apps like Goodnotes and any other app on your tablet that allows you to annotate on a PDF file. You can then use an Apple pencil for the iPad or a stylus to write on the digital planner or create textoxes on the spaces in the planner to type in. Thank you SO much, this is super helpful! I was wondering how people are able to edit the planner digitally? Can you help with more information? Thanks!

Hi! Just discovered digital planners and Canvas and now YOU! Thanks for a great tutorial! I've been following along trying to do the steps you're doing just to get a feel for what this program can do. One thing I'm having trouble with though is finding the "Shadow" thing in Edit Image. It's just not there for me both on the website and on the desktop app. How did you get it? Was it just there already, or was it a third-party add on? Thanks again! ETA: I am currently on day 1 of the 30-day trial of the Pro version, if that makes a difference.
Hmm. When you click edit image, you should see on the left hand column -- background remover, filters, photogenic, smart mockups, shadows and more. Try scrolling down all the way. Once you have used it, it should appear right at the top as "recently used". Otherwise you'd probably have to scroll further down to find it.

If you want to create a fillable PDF planner, then you'd need to use external platforms like PDFescape.com to add fillable fields in your PDF planner.

Is it possible to open up the journal in an app or samaung notes and have the hyper links work?
As long as you download the digital planner as a PDF file (make sure it's NOT flattened at the point of downloading), you can open it with any app that allows you to open PDF files and you can either use a stylus to write on the digital planner or apps with note-taking abilities like GoodNotes. Yes, the hyperlinks will still work.

Hi! How can we add more than 200 pages in canva in order to make a 365 hyperlinked planner? Thank you!
You'd need to create that in separate Canva projects and then export each of the project as PowerPoint file. Then combine the PowerPoint files into one and then add the hyperlinks inside PowerPoint. I am working on a tutorial to show you how. Please kindly stay tuned. Thank you!
Great video! Very easy to follow. Thank you!

Faith, should you place your name or website or logo somewhere on the planner?
It's entirely up to you. I don't do it for the planners I design because as a user, I wouldn't like to see the logo on the planner. But if you can put it rather small, like a watermark - visible but inconspicuous - then I suppose that's fine. But once again, I don't think there's a right or wrong, it's really your personal preference.
Thank you for sharing the tutorials...love it

Great! I may have missed this, but how will the customer use the digital planner after purchase? Will they be able to edit it and type on the pages?

@faith'sbizacademy dear i have a question. After exporting this type of planner as pdf. How we can write detail on it?? With using hyperlink section.
