- This video demonstrates how to enter multiple response items into SPSS. A survey item that allows participants to “check all that apply” is used to explain how to enter the data using dichotomous variables.
Thank you! So helpful!!!! Thank you RUclips and people such as yourself who are willing to share their expertise!
This was helpful and a good connection to this week's chapter about surveys. It is nice to see an examples of survey items in SPSS.
Great way to show how to use and analyze those surveys I'm always thinking about when designing a research project.
Thank you Dr. Todd, this is really helpful!
this was literally exactly what i a working on and exactly what i was looking for! great video thank you for the help!
Nice information, I like the quick combination formula in Excel. Also very helpful on how to organize and set up the variables.
Understanding how to use SPSS with surveys will be beneficial in the future.
Thanks a lot. I was stack here. You have made my life very easy
This was very clear and early to understand.
It is extremely helpful. Thank you very much.
Very helpful. Thank you so much.
Very helpful. Thank you very much!
it was really helpful. Thanks a lot
This was helpful, thanks
Thank you Dr. Todd, its very informative. Just a question, I have several multiple-response questions that are linked. For example, select X types of exercises you do every week, then I ask about the duration of each indicated exercise, and for what purpose do you do those exercises.
From your video and explanation, we can create separate variables for each of the answer options. That only addresses each multiple-response sets separately. But is there a way to track which type of exercise tend to have which duration, and so on?
I liked this option on how to enter multiple response, I find surveys a great quantitative assessment.
+April Brooks I agree, surveys are a great way to gain a lot of insight on things!
Is there a way to get data from a csv imported from google sheets and process it in SPSS, one that also contains multiple responses questions?
Hello Sir, this is very helpful for me, I want to ask a question, How to analyze multiple responses with combination and cross-tab in SPSS, could you please tell me.
Sure, very helpful.
Thank you very much
Thank You So Much Professor
I have a problem with using SPSS, It doesnt give me the choice liste according to what i make and he accepts all value.
Thank You.
Very clear. I like it. Thank u
I'm glad you found the video useful.
this was helpful. Also, I have a question here. What about if I have a scenario that resondents could have multiple responses and also rank the response i.e. the respondent was asked to response not in terms of checking those that applies, but also requires to rank them; say in an examples with 6 multiple items where the respondent has checked 5 boxes only with variable as 1 indicate most important, variable 2 as 2nd most important, variable 3 as 3rd, variable 5 as 5th and leaving the variable unchecked. In this case, the 6 answer items are set as 6 variable. So how to input them into SPSS so that I can do the cross tab to show what ranking no. of the respondent has checked? o=no response, but how to capture the response with ranking no.1, 2, 3 or 1,2 or 1,2, 3,4,5 combinations like this? Or it's not possible to do that. Many thanks for your help.
So helpful and thank you for your channel. About multiple response item, all the data is in excel in alphabets. Does that mean I have to manually enter all of them to SPSS.
How do i do this for one question on a survey? As in 1 question out 15 ask the responder to check all that apply.
If some one chooses more than one answer example he feels both anxiety and anger how can do that and give that one his two choices? Plz help
Thank you for this video, But my problem is different .. i have already collected data in excel sheet by using Google forms. as you know in this google form worksheet multiple options selected by respondents are shown in same column.... How should i segregate it... please guide.
Hello Suraj Kamble, we shall upload a tutorial in couple of days with SPSS syntax to segregate multiple response variable.
That’s where data cleaning comes in, for each response you should create a separate column. Then you assign a value for that. For example, 1 if participant selected that answer, zero if not and so on. Until you clear out the responses in your original column. Number of columns will be the number of all possible responses that can be selected by an individual. That what I did for check all that apply question. The question has 13 options. So I had the same issue as yours but I have to do what I mentioned above. It is all about “data cleaning” really.
@@InstituteTrainingServices Hi Team, did you get a chance to segregate values in SPSS?
@@alankrititiwari Yes I have uploaded a video a month go. Vedio Title is how to segregate mutiple response variable using SPSS syntax
@@InstituteTrainingServices Sir, thank you so much. Will have a look at it.
Can I make a composite variable from multiple response question ? I yes . How can I do it?
Can i do the validity and reliability test for multiple responses???
Here too because of this lol
Any balajian here..🤣🤣
