Mk1 Golf Steering column stalks and lock system dismantle

The windshield wiper's stalk off my Mk1 Caddy stopped functioning properly a while ago.Namely out of 3 positions it only went in 2,and you had to use a bit of force. So I took the whole thing of and while I was at it I thought a video might help someone else someday. There are 3 screws,easy to undo. Then there are about 3 clamps plus a "claw" behind the turn signal stalk keeping the switch ensemble together. A bit of gentle twisting and turning separates them. upon further inspection I noticed a white plastic blocking the stalk's acces to a fourth lower setting (I have yet to discover its use). I the cleaned the copper contacts and smoothed the "valleys",for the stalk's spring to commute easier. Putting the thing back together is not hard,you just reverse the steps. I'll try to upload more videos as I work on my Caddy
