And Daemon was a suspect to Mushroom when it came to Rhea, Harwin, and Laenor's deaths. In the book, it's never mentioned who killed Rhea. For TV, they made sure it was Daemon. But we now know Larys is the one who killed Harwin and Lyonel. Why would Daemon kill Harwin? They're homeboys who fought together with the City Watch and Gold Cloaks. And Daemon fought next to Laenor and happens to be his nephew and brother-in-law. I swear if someone slips on a banana peel, Mushroom will find a way to blame it on Daemon.
People calling Criston incel either dont know what an incel is or dont understand Criston's character. Calling him an incel is probably the biggest compliment incel community have got in their life.
You can't call Criston Cole an incel when he literally had sex with the princess. He also had sex before he joined the King's Guard. I support the greens because Aegon is the first born son. It's as simple as that. That's how succession works in Medieval monarchies.
You can't get removed from being heir for having bastards. Every King would have been removed if that were the case. It's also not very common to try and pass off bastards as true born heirs because it's usually the case that people know that the heirs wife wasn't pregnant. So it's fairly unpredictable what the response would be.
@@chaosworrier4468 A king can have many bastard, but his wife can't. They have to be sure that any kid the king has is his. However it's different in Rhaenyra case . The Targaryen bloodline runs through her therefore we know her kids are Targaryens, and she is married therefore her kids are not bastard. Her kids are not bastard since her husband /father recognize the kids as his.
@@luvprue1 Bastards are children fathered by men who are not legally married to their mother. It doesn't matter what blood runs through their mother's veins or if their mother's husband, not their father, acknowledges them. Once the secret is out, they are bastards regardless who acknowledges them. You support Rhaenera and her bastards even though you hated Cersei and her bastards. That is fine. Just don't redefine who a bastard is or isn't for us. That is well established in Westeros custom.
@@luvprue1 With all due respect, are you watching the same show as me? It doesn't matter that her kids have Targaryen blood courses through their veins, but the fact that it is obvious that they are not sired by Prince Laenor. This is considered "breaking the rules", even though a prince or king siring bastards would get away with it. And, yes, a bastard is a child conceived out of wedlock (regardless of which parent is royalty).
@@luvprue1 Exactly. The double standard exists so to ensure the children born are the children of the ruling monarch. In this case however the monarch is a woman. So can sleep around and the children are all hers. He husband also claims that are his children and gave them his name. The King also decreed that anyone who challenged them as legitimate would have their tongue cut out, so they are legitimate by law of the King and marriage customs. It's also quite possible the Laenor was infertile since Rhaenyra did say she hoped that the children would be his, from the times that they slept together. So sleeping with Strong might have been the only way Rhaenyra could produce an heir.
Also, I need a convo between King and daughter, warning her of what is most likely to take place when he dies. Hopefully we get this. And wth did she leave Kings Landing?
Hardly a mention that Larys committed patricide and fratricide by killing his father and brother which could result in him most likely inheriting Harrenhal. I'm sure the Queen will figure a way to hold it over him
@@rayn6730 It's what he is already doing privately with her but she gains nothing by offing the only connection to her competition's illegitimate kids and publicly she has no motive whereas he has every motive
His body language shows that he has her by the metaphorical balls. He knows that he now holds power over her even if that power is her own guilt. Larys looking up at her innocently while being all smug about granting her "wish" is telling. He even expects a reward as well and by him sniffing the flower, I suspect he wants something sexual.
That would be nice but he is much more cunning than she. Even if she tries somehow to use information against him he will have already predicted that and be one step ahead of her. There is absolutely zero chance she ends up with power over him.
Yeah Daemon turned out to be a far better man and husband than Viserys, he wasn't ready to kill his wife to save the baby and couldn't take the decision unlike Viserys
@@tanxilhanif Viserys's choice was either kill his wife to save the baby or let them both die. His wife was going to die no matter what. I also find it strange that people are so quick to sacrifice the baby. If your wife and five year old child were about to be crushed by falling rocks and you only had time to save one, which would you save? Does the age of the child matter?
During the children’s training scene, if you listen closely when Strong and Cole give advise to the eldest sons Strong says “… to the chest, not his eyes”. Perhaps referring to events that may happen in the future 😉😉
When they chose to change the race of the Valyrians they did it knowing how important the parentage was of Rhynera’s children. I just can’t believe that she’d take this risk, knowing how feeble her claim is to begin with.
I mean even if they were pale, the kids clearly have dark hair not silver, white blond like the rest of the Targaryens (except the ones who have a parent with dark hair) like Aegon aka Jon Snow. She clearly could have had an affair with a light haired man. In the book, she had kids with dark hair too.
The series has to be the nicest good King I've ever seen in Game of Thrones but seriously he should have stand down as being King and just give the throne to his daughter because he is not fit for that position right now he is clearly in Grandpa mode
As far as I'm concerned Christian Cole is just a little bit better because renara chose her Duty over running away and being married to her booty call but at the end of the day he can be mad at her but let's face the facts he was the oldest in that situation her uncle turned her down and she really wanted to go to bed with someone he could have easily take the helmet from her and leave the room but no he slept with her he wasn't forced because he wanted it to so he knew the consequences before he did that he was just better

One thing I haven’t heard anyone bring up…Did Laenor and Rhaenyra actually consummate their marriage, and were they at least trying to ‘do their duty’ and pump out an heir? It just doesn’t make sense to me that these two young & attractive people, that actually do like each other (out side of the sex part), wouldn’t be able to bite the bullet & get it done once a month for baby making purposes. Or are they also trying, but Laenor is unable to get her pregnant for whatever reason? Is the consummation of their marriage something that is ever confirmed? It doesn’t seem to be addressed in the show thus far. The only implication I got was that they continued their arrangement, and that Laenor seemed to kind of acknowledge Harwin as the father. But maybe he was just being nice, and letting the Captain of the City Watch hold his baby 🙃 I’ve been blown away by House of the Dragons, coming in as a die hard Game of Thrones show and lore fan. This last episode was almost perfect in my opinion. The story telling is stellar, especially the way they handled and portrayed the rumor of the ‘Strong Boys’. I love that we never actually see Harwin and Rhaenyra together, nor do we ever get a straight confirmation from them that the affair rumors are valid. Every scene setup still only suggesting what the original texts suggests: they are just rumors, third hand accounts. We as the audience are the little birds; listening & watching what we aren’t supposed to. PHENOMENAL STORYTELLING! Can’t wait to how they will top that first half of the season!
Doing they duty is passing the sons off as his lol laenor is gay and has said to not be interested in women that way so that leads us to believe he can’t get it up for women

Thanks for the spoiler-free analysis. Everyone else ruins the storyline for us, but not Screencrush. Love the videos!
Probably a dominate gene in the Targaryen blonde, like wise black hair may be dominate when it’s Rhaenyra and Strong. Or Jon snow with Rhaegar and Lyanna
I believe this comes down to George RR Martin thinking that male genes are dominant. Notice when a man has dark hair the children always have dark hair. Likewise if the father has light hair the children will always have light hair. This is been true for both Targaryens and Lannister's, the only family is known for light hair, in this universe.
Apparently the strength of bloodline (and therefore features, hair color, etc.) goes in the order of: First men > Valyrian > Targaryen > everyone else. That is why the princess' kids have black hair, Laena's kids have curly silver hair, and Alicent's kids have Targaryen hair. Source: Reddit
I tell you renara said she wasn't going to be like her mother giving a bunch of children and nothing more and look how fate turned the tide into that but in this circumstances she's put herself in quite a mess
I was really expecting Laena’s newborn baby to be in the ashy remains from the dragon fire. I thought Targaryens can’t be burned, is it only some of them like Daenerys? I thought it would have been a fantastic solution to their problem rather than a honorable self sacrifice.
@@jakeg3332 that was just some fire in the air that would quickly dissapate. He flew through it quickly. It would've probably just been very hot. Fire needs to be sustained usually before it catches
Alicent needs to CALM TF down. Those kids are half Targaryen just like her own kids. She is just jealous she doesn't get to have fun and Rhaenyra does......
My question is why didn't Rhynera tell her wet nurse to tell the queen to come to me? What power does the queen have over the heir? It's not like like the Queen can punish her.
Don't you remember the scene back in episode 3, I think, where Alicent orders the singer to leave even though Rhaenyra wanted him to stay. Alicent is Rhaenyra's step mother. The step mother, who is married to the king by the way, has authority over the heir.
You lie in the bed you make... Litteraly all of this could have been avoided if rhaenyra wasn't a chronic spoiled brat who refuses to compromise no matter the cost to other people or the realm
What did Daemon whisper to the male servant at the table in Pentos and why did he touch him and the servant smile? Is it possible this is the reason Daemon can "finish" now with Laena? Weird detail to add to the scene. Has some meaning but what is it?
I heard now that it was a scene to fuel the rumors that Daemon poisoned laena but they decided to not hot go with that plan so that’s why it’s another deleted scene when daemon and the guy is talking.
"He's a Targaryen and that's all that matters" .. it's true though because Rhaenyra is Viserys legitimate daughter, so it really doesn't matter who their father is. It's different from when Cersei with no royal blood had illegitimate children.
It can only be in little parts and it has to have sufficient commentary etc. to justify playing it. My guess is the clips they used were a little too long. HBO wants you to go to their service to watch it, so if you play too much they don't like it
5:53 "she once dreamed of being on the battlefield as a dragon rider..." Ironically she will now have to ride a dragon into battle against her own family because of a series of events not entirely her fault. Edits; I can't spell
Had the king not announced his daughter as his heir none of this would be happening. He's just a very naive individual and not worthy of the crown. He's put his wife and daughter on opposite ends when they shouldn't be. He's created a battle for succession when there shouldn't be one. The male heir rules. End of story

*Criston:* Incel.
*House* *Lannister:* *Jason* *Lannister* has got to be one of the most unlikeable d*uchebags in the TV series. He's an even bigger moron than Ser Crispin.
The only likeable Green is really Helaena and guess which d*uchbag she ends up marrying and having children with? We don't see Daeron in Ep 6 who happens to be the youngest child and less problematic son of Alicent.
*The* *Greens'* *Dragons*
*Vhagar* (Aemond)
*Sunfyre* (Aegon II)
*Dreamfyre* (Helaena)
*Tessarion* (Daeron)
*Shrykos* (Jaehaerys)
*Morghul* (Jaehaera)
How the hell do people root for the Greens? Because they think Alicent is pretty? They have the most and biggest c-nts in the series. People rooting for the Greens would be like someone rooting for Germany and Japan during WW2.
The Blacks have DAEMON. That's the only reason most fans with eyes and a brain needs to be rooting for the Blacks. Jace, Luke, Baela, and Rhaena are better kids than most of Alicent's kids. House Velaryon is the most likeable family in this series and they're siding with the Blacks.
*The* *Blacks'* *Dragons*
*Caraxes* (Daemon)
*Vermithor* (Hugh Hammer)
*Meleys* (Rhaenys/Rhaena)
*Silverwing* (Ulf the White)
*Sheepstealer* (Nettles)
*Syrax* (Rhaenyra)
*Seasmoke* (Laenor/Addam of Hull)
*Arrax* (Luke)
*Moondancer* (Baela)
*Tyraxes* (Joffrey)
*Stormcloud* (Aegon III)
*Vermax* (Jace)
I've counted 18 dragons. Not 17 that was promised. There's a chance they won't show Sheepstealer since Nettles isn't really part of the Blacks but she is allied towards Daemon. Or they may not show one of the kid's dragons or Vermithor or Silverwing by excluding Hugh 🔨 or Ulf. So far, we didn't see Daeron. If he's excluded, then there would be no Tessarion.
The Blacks have less c-nts and more dragons. Go, Greens! 💚 🤣 Be different. Be the contrarian because you want to be the smartest person in the room like you're Kyrie and want to stand out more by rooting for obscure characters nobody cares about or has no real importance to the story. The Greens are a joke to most fans but go hate on Daemyra and root for the losing side.

TV writers are making Daemon look worse than he actually is. Cut out the scenes of him hugging his daughters after Laena dies. Made him look like a bad dad when it's the total opposite in the book. Is one of the TV writers Mushroom?
According to Mushroom, Daemon is suspected killing half of Westeros. Mushroom ratted on Daemon about sleeping with Rhaenyra.
Nice one. I’m very entertained.
People calling Criston incel either dont know what an incel is or dont understand Criston's character. Calling him an incel is probably the biggest compliment incel community have got in their life.
I knew everything, yet i was still entertained by this comment
You can't call Criston Cole an incel when he literally had sex with the princess. He also had sex before he joined the King's Guard.
I support the greens because Aegon is the first born son. It's as simple as that. That's how succession works in Medieval monarchies.
How aren't more people more impressed with Doug?
Love you Doug
King Viserys "take my strong hand" Targaryen😂
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
It’s not just his hands it’s his arm that’s missing
the hand of the king isn't missing, he got burned up in the fire 😮🤣😂😉 (sorry children, ad to make that joke)
Keep up the great content, thank you !
You can't get removed from being heir for having bastards. Every King would have been removed if that were the case. It's also not very common to try and pass off bastards as true born heirs because it's usually the case that people know that the heirs wife wasn't pregnant. So it's fairly unpredictable what the response would be.
The rules would be different for a woman. Back then, a woman would face consequences for intimacy out of wedlock, but a man would not.
Laryus : you will reward me
That's sus
I thought I was going crazy for a minute they're, this is a reupload lol
You didn't mention Haleana saying Aemond will have to "close one eye" to become a dragon rider 😉
Hardly a mention that Larys committed patricide and fratricide by killing his father and brother which could result in him most likely inheriting Harrenhal. I'm sure the Queen will figure a way to hold it over him
Or vice versa saying he did it on behalf of the queen
@@rayn6730 It's what he is already doing privately with her but she gains nothing by offing the only connection to her competition's illegitimate kids and publicly she has no motive whereas he has every motive
His body language shows that he has her by the metaphorical balls. He knows that he now holds power over her even if that power is her own guilt. Larys looking up at her innocently while being all smug about granting her "wish" is telling. He even expects a reward as well and by him sniffing the flower, I suspect he wants something sexual.
@@stitchnroses He doesn't want anything sexual. He wants to be the Hand of the King or some other powerful position.
That would be nice but he is much more cunning than she. Even if she tries somehow to use information against him he will have already predicted that and be one step ahead of her. There is absolutely zero chance she ends up with power over him.
Yes, Jeoffrey. The mad king equivalent of the Lannisters. Charming young fellow. 🤣
Me: Doug's intro on repeat 😍
Alicent's daughter is also ASD coded, the counting and the obsession over a subject
Bro the Bear and The Maiden Fair is classic bop what’s this mummer talking about???
I liked how Daemon is trying to be a good father to 1 daughter. It also seemed like he wanted his wife to live.
Great review always love your analysis, and breakdown 🐉❤
During the children’s training scene, if you listen closely when Strong and Cole give advise to the eldest sons Strong says “… to the chest, not his eyes”. Perhaps referring to events that may happen in the future 😉😉
I also wonder if Helaena has green dreams.
10:54 Step-son of David Tennant and grandson of Peter Davison who played the fifth Doctor in Doctor Who between 1982 and 1984.
Good job Doug, youre a big boy now.
When they chose to change the race of the Valyrians they did it knowing how important the parentage was of Rhynera’s children.
I just can’t believe that she’d take this risk, knowing how feeble her claim is to begin with.
It really pushes her character flaw that Daemon encouraged that a Targaryen Queen can do what they want.
yeah i agree but if they always made the right choice there wouldnt be much of a story to tell
@@saudielbamber4227 exactly XD
I mean even if they were pale, the kids clearly have dark hair not silver, white blond like the rest of the Targaryens (except the ones who have a parent with dark hair) like Aegon aka Jon Snow. She clearly could have had an affair with a light haired man. In the book, she had kids with dark hair too.
the hair does it just fine, the darker skin is just weird
This show is killing it.
Where was my mom in this episode?!? Hi Doug, you're a good dog.
Can’t wait for the Dance to begin
The series has to be the nicest good King I've ever seen in Game of Thrones but seriously he should have stand down as being King and just give the throne to his daughter because he is not fit for that position right now he is clearly in Grandpa mode
I like how they changed a bunch of actors, but not some, definitely not weirdly annoying.
Yeah, it made no sense and the Rhaenyra doesn't look 10 years older, but just looks completely different save the hair.
"It's a feature, not a bug." Nice archive 81 reference 😊
Be well, Ryan
You did well Doug ☺️
Okay, but Cersei and Rhaenyra (at least at this point in the story) cannot even be compared.
Also, his hand isn’t covered, his arm is gone.
hope ryan's ok. luv you channel homie
Doug needs to review DC league of Super Pets
I was mid watch and then got an error for a copyright claim. Glad you got the video back up. Awesome breakdown 🙂
Yay!! Finally, I’ve been looking forward to this!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Well done m8! Doug you are adorable and deserve many treat’s
The beetle signifies Paris' influence with the princess or some sort of relationship, common interest if you prefer to feel comfortable in presuming.
Hells Yeah Brian!! Great work!!!
i think that circus dragon show was a hint that Daemon is unburnt like Dani
Also the princes are wearing green/ black under armour to represent their different sides
I love how vhagar look like a old lady.
"One of his hands is fully covered now" ... you mean one of his hands (and that entire arm) is fully *amputated* ?
Nice catch with the vermin in this episode and as they relate to the previous ones… I missed that allegory. 👍🏻👍🏻
I was actually hoping Doug was gonna do the whole episode thought 😅
Yeah about heading to Dragonstone being a smart decision...
Well done. I enjoyed this sub in.
Great video
Ser Criston Cole is real Sigma,he's the kingmaker. In books he never lost any combat. In this episode he was clearly baiting harwin. He can easily kick ser harpiks ass 😂.
Cole beat daemon beside he was showboating lol harwin is literally considered the strongest knight physically so saying he would easily beat him is just wrong.
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince lol harwin hasent even seen war 😂 whereas Cole is kingmaker. There is difference between knight and Warrior. Criston is THE WARRIOR
@@lightyagami6095 yes and like I said he still wouldn’t easily beat harwin at all lol just because Cole fought in a war don’t mean anything because harwin is literally known to be the strongest fighter in the realm lol he coulda fought in wars but didn’t because he’s a lord and it wasn’t called for him to fight in it.
His entire arm is missing. Not just his hand
Hoping Doug does a breakdown all by himself! He's the best part of the videos
But maybe he was just being nice, and letting the Captain of the City Watch hold his baby 🙃
I’ve been blown away by House of the Dragons, coming in as a die hard Game of Thrones show and lore fan.
Rhaenerya's husband is probably impediment.
Doing they duty is passing the sons off as his lol laenor is gay and has said to not be interested in women that way so that leads us to believe he can’t get it up for women
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince so did renly barratheon but he did try with Margery.
@@That_AboElHamd he tried but they didn’t have sex because he couldn’t get it up lol that would be the same case here but they already agreed what they would do and passing the kids off as his is it..they didn’t know all the kids hair would be brown tho of course.
Can brian some breakdowns going forward? Love ya ryan, but dude is quality. Great voice, cadence, timbre.
"they could write it". Tookt he words right from my mouth lol
Love how daemon and the black queens wedding is one that had zero violence 🫡
Ser Criston Cole wanted to run away because he knew what will happen to him if anyone finds out. And this episode proved it as ser harwin got killed because of pathetic rhaenyra. Plus she don't give a fuck about harwin 😂
Reason Doug has white hair, all Hail King Doug!!! 🤴 🐶
This episode felt like a premiere I forgot we were six episodes in
Is Alicent blonde in the books? How come all of her kids have white blonde hair and none with her dark brown/red hair? I’m sure this comment has been made a lot. Can you please let us know? Thanks for the spoiler-free analysis. Everyone else ruins the storyline for us, but not Screencrush. Love the videos!
Probably a dominate gene in the Targaryen blonde, like wise black hair may be dominate when it’s Rhaenyra and Strong. Or Jon snow with Rhaegar and Lyanna
Also to probably help differentiate the 800 rugrats running around that have similar sounding names
Because their father is a Targaryen
I tell you renara said she wasn't going to be like her mother giving a bunch of children and nothing more and look how fate turned the tide into that but in this circumstances she's put herself in quite a mess
It seems this episode, the families keeping the kingdom in one piece , the Velaryons and the Strongs , are slowly dying
I was really expecting Laena’s newborn baby to be in the ashy remains from the dragon fire. I thought Targaryens can’t be burned, is it only some of them like Daenerys? I thought it would have been a fantastic solution to their problem rather than a honorable self sacrifice.
They're not Fireproof. Daenerys was a special exception because of magical circumstances according the GRR Martin.
@@TheRealAlpha2 Damon flies straight through vhagars fire cloud and he didn’t get burned tho
But the father wasn't married to the mother. In Westerosi society (like in real Medieval society) that is considered highly sinful.
@@greywolf7577 SO...if the "father" isn't complaining she needs to shut it LOL
easter eggs is a bit of a stretch. title should be: episode 6 - things we can forcibly connect to the OG game of thrones and the books
Too bad it gets FAR WORSE for Rheanyra and her sons later in the book
You lie in the bed you make... Litteraly all of this could have been avoided if rhaenyra wasn't a chronic spoiled brat who refuses to compromise no matter the cost to other people or the realm
@@jacobsampsonis7782 Yes, that's why we know whose descendants will remain in the iron throne in the end of the dance.
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince Makes perfect sense. Thanks again for the great info, I appreciate you!
@@jdsthird i just had read that from someone as a explanation because I doubt the show will comment on that again so no problem glad to be of help
"He's a Targaryen and that's all that matters" .. it's true though because Rhaenyra is Viserys legitimate daughter, so it really doesn't matter who their father is. It's different from when Cersei with no royal blood had illegitimate children.
Is this a reupload? Im sure I watched this yesterday
yesss...finally..I was wondering if this will be shut down completely. Been looking repeatedly all day for the video to be "unbanned"...
SUCH A GOOD SHOW!!!!!
I think that the MCU SHOULD ADAPT THE FANTASTIC FOUR INTO THE TIMESTREAM
How do you deal with the copyright issue, while you use the episode footage?
It can only be in little parts and it has to have sufficient commentary etc. to justify playing it. My guess is the clips they used were a little too long. HBO wants you to go to their service to watch it, so if you play too much they don't like it
It's called "fair use". People are allowed to use small clips of shows as long as they are reviewing it rather than just showing the whole episode.
I love Doug
5:53 "she once dreamed of being on the battlefield as a dragon rider..."
Ironically she will now have to ride a dragon into battle against her own family because of a series of events not entirely her fault.

G.O.T and House of Dragons just all out amazing Shows I was hooked on GOT. Bought the entire set of DVDs
Had the king not announced his daughter as his heir none of this would be happening. He's just a very naive individual and not worthy of the crown. He's put his wife and daughter on opposite ends when they shouldn't be. He's created a battle for succession when there shouldn't be one. The male heir rules. End of story
