@@SussyChungus omg u guys, it's easy to tell them apart - Chad has the darkest blue out of them all, then Romania, followed by Andorra, and Moldova has the lightest. In school my teachers taught me how to tell apart these 4 flags by their different shades of blue and now I'm passing this knowledge along to new generations! 😂🤭😜😁

Lavender, aka "the purple on the alternate French flag", is very specific of the Provence region in southeastern France, so I don't think it would be a very unifying symbol. But on the other hand, the actual French flag has the colours of Paris and of the monarchy, so...

Latvia and Austria also have very similar stories behind the meaning of their flags. (There’s only one or two differences in each story). I think Latvia’s is older though.
My city of Leuven has the same flag as Austria. According to Wikipedia, they stem from the same origin and the myth surrounding it about a battle against the Vikings in 891 is false (as far as the origin of the flag is concerned, the battle was real).

Australian flag is badass. It represents the country perfectly. Majority of Australians have British heritage, the big star represents its states united in federation and the southern cross represents its location in the world.
It does not need to change, sporting colours don't need to be associated with flag colour.
Australia and NZ flag is the reason you are both Britains favourite countries. These two countries have the strongest ties possible fr 🥺

One thing that cannot be kept out of a new Australia flag is the stars. The Southern cross constellation are the stars on the right of the flag, and the Constellation can be seen all through out Australia. And the one under the union jack represents the states and all territories of Australia. If we do ever get a new flag Gold and Green should be the colours along with the Southern Cross in it as well.

1st of all I’m sorry but England are massive rivals to all other countries in the UK
According to an old legend Wales is the home of all British dragons. The dragon is on the flag because although Wales officially obtained the flag in the 1950’s long ago there was a village with a a red dragon living in the woods next to them. They were scared of the dragon but eventually saw the good after that they flew some of the very first flags and on those those flags was a red dragon. It spread across the country and was seen as an emblem of Wales along with the daffodils.

Bahrain and qatar are only a few kilometers away from each other if you take the island of hawar into account. They also were both in talks with the united arab emirates to become states in the union before it was astablished, but the negotiations lead nowhere. Not to mention the fact that they have very similar traditional clothing and cultures when compared to other gulf nations (who are a bit more distinct from one another). So it is very understandable that they both have similar flags.

@Nicholas Negosian the fact the day celebrated is the day the British landed and then went on to slaughter a large % of the indigenous population, and in the media its being called invasion day rather than Australia day. personally i have no issue with the date but i believe if people are effected why not change the date, as changing the date wont negativity effect anyone rather it purely positive.
