Hey i saw a lot of confusion about my Island's flag (Sicily) so i hope i can clarify some stuff, so the terrifying monster in the middle is a gorgoneion, the monster of greek mythology wich is generally known as medusa, the thing has three legs because sicily is literally a triangle and there are wheat ears because we are famous for our wheat. the flag was first adopted after the rebellion against the french occupation during the "Vespri siciliani" in 1282. I personally like it and I'm very proud of it! As a Sicilian and a history boy.
Also the flag has its own name, the "Trinacria" again referring to the three angles.

The thing with Wales not being in the Union Jack is because it had already unified with England when England and Scotland got into their union in the early 18th century that brought on the Union Jack. When there was the subdivisions flag of Europe, a flag worth mentioning is the one right in the centre. It’s the Pardubice region of the Czech republic and it’s a horse cut in half. It’s tied to a medieval legend that the leader of that “region’s” army lead a raid in Milan and they tried to capture them within the city, but fortunately everybody managed to escape in time. Only the leader’s horse was cut in half by the city gate, so for its bravery the leader took the horse and showed him to the king (I guess the horse still lived) and the king was fascinated and so for the leader’s bravery he allowed him to make the horse the city flag
Fun fact: Libias old flag was so popular the even Hollywood has it used in their movies

The Flag of my country (Italy) means:
Green: The plains and the green that paint our ground.
White: The alps and the snow that covers them.
Red: The blood that was poured out since the Roman Empire started .
The flag might be simple, but at least has a meaning.

Celtic symbols with a strong Indo-European background being called "fidget spinners" is what triggers me a lot, that flag may have been created only during the 70s, but its meaning predates a lot of the stuff depicted in most flags shown here (not to mention that acting as if the Tricolore is devoid of meaning is just plain ignorant).
