Great experiment but the real story is what happened after they were told. Most laughed and said Wow, you got me. If we reversed the experiment would it be the same when the cover was pulled off? Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men" Romans 12:17

One more thing I wanted to add, the bible is a weapon, but with the right understanding of it, you realize it was never meant to be used against people. Most people turn it into that unknowingly in my experience for 2 reasons, because they've been indoctrinated and believe what certain schools of thought or denominations believe about the bible and not what the bible actually says or because they 've read the bible and instead of trully understanding in its full context, they've taken it upon themselves to make it mean what they want it to mean. For example when some mention the trinity or that Jesus is God, that's blasphemy and you know they've been indoctrinated because it says that knowhere in the bible, when people say things about the bible that you can't find in the bible verbatim they've been indoctrinated or if someone comes to the conclusion that God loves everyone on earth because they read John 3:16 but didn't consider the word world has several definitions or the fact that God actually told Israel to destroy other nations of people in time past, and says he hated Esau, in Romans 9, the bible then becomes a contradiction by there own understanding of the bible, and so whoever they decide to teach becomes indoctrinated.
