So like a year ago i was doubting that i had value in this world and i discovered the furry fandom and i saw the art that some furrys made and that gave me reassure that i had value in this world and i never felt as accepted as i do in this fandom so to all those cool furry artists and furrys in general i love you all because you literally saved my life

Also, my father doesn’t think I’m a furry but I don’t care and my mother wants me to keep it a secret but I’m just going to ignore her and tell people (if I have the courage to) that I’m a furry and brony who’s a gamer and I’m proud to be one. It is very difficult for me to be a furry. my family hates them if when i watched the Beastars anime i was so offended, but it didn’t diminish or affect my love and the choice of being a furry. being furry is everything to me, it is what I am and who I always will be because this is my world and it makes me happy.

As someone who was bullied by my own brother for being a furry before even accepting that I was one this song hits home. Heck my brother accused me of being one because I made a lot of OCS that were human with animal characteristics and idk if those even count as furries. Either way I've accepted that I'm a furry (no fursuit yet though 😔) and try not to let him get to me anymore
Edit: now I just set him off on purpose by running around conventions in purple fox ears and tail that my best friend hand made me for my 21st birthday. She knew what I was before I did and accepted me for it

I just recently came out to my parents/guardian who is my aunt that I’m a furry and she wasn’t happy with me and she’s disappointed in me because of it.
