The real question is how did you water proof those holes you made on the roof? U know the ones under the black tiles....Plus the ones that came off have their nails lose now, how does that work?
I was asking myself the same question. Back in 2018, I did a DIY 10.8KW system over a composite roof, and on every hole I drilled, I put some roof water proofing compound. On that project I drill a total of 78 holes, none of them have leaked.
I actually don't do solar anymore. I install battery backup systems for the homes now. I still work at a solar company just different department now. The roof got old😅. Was wondering if I should do some battery backup videos
@@norcalsolar8291 The roof does get played out. I'm an electrical contractor and will carve out a large piece of the solar/battery/Gen back up market here in Vegas. I'm looking for a few good hands. Would you be interested or know someone who would be in planting a flag in Vegas?
@@johncarbone6128 im actually a battery guy. I install backup batteries for homes. We do solar systems and everything. I only do the roofs when we dont have batteries
That's really good work!

Nice Job done. Is it waterproofing sheet on top of clamps?
Yes. It has tar on the backside of it. If water gets in. It wont get under the plate. The water will run around it
Hey, Excellent job you did there. I have a client with slay tiles and I am seeking some insites. Are those dummy black tiles you installed?
Yes, they are replacement flashings. You remove the tile and put that in its place.
Where are you guys working now? Would you like to share more videos?

Sorry for the kate response. Snap N rack makes this racking system.
What were the name of the mounts used
I believe they were snap N rack speed rail, tile sleds. It's been a while😅
