Lyrics:
Affirmative may be justified
Take from one give to another
The goal is to be unified
Take my hand be my brother
The payment silenced the masses
Sanctified by oppression
Unity took a backseat
Sliding further into regression
One, oh one,
The only way is one
I feel angry I feel helpless
Want to change the world
I feel violent I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind
Society blind by color
Why hold down one to raise another
Discrimination now on both sides
Seeds of hate blossom further
The world is heading for mutiny
When all we want is unity
We may rise and fall, but in the end
We meet our fate together
One, oh one,
The only way is one
One, oh one,
The only way is one
I feel angry I feel helpless
Want to change the world
I feel violent I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind
[x3]
I feel angry I feel helpless
Want to change the world yeah
I feel violent I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind
I feel angry I feel helpless
Want to change the world yeah
I feel violent I feel alone

Is anyone listening to this in 2024?🤙🏼
Yea man 🤟
Ja słucham!
I sure am. I love them now, just as much more as I did 20yrs ago. Long live Creed ❤
Yes 🤘
4/3/24 👍
I grew up as a kid listening to creed and everyone used to diss on them then it's ironic when I hear people say "why did I ever hate on creed they're actually pretty good". Creed in my opinion has always been the best lyrically, musically, and spiritually
Personally Creed is one of my favorite bands ever, but I wouldn't say they're the best.. Tool and Red Hot Chilli peppers are better musically
Yeah I loved them and the “cool” people would hate on them mercilessly. Even the Dj on the radio (x107.5 Vegas) loved that station but yeah, he’d always say “ugh my most hated band” and begrudgingly play their songs. I didn’t get it. I love their stuff. But I do think this album is far better than their other stuff. My own prison was AWESOME
End racism we all people in 2024❤😊
The world Is headed for mutiny, when all we want is unity. This song means more now than ever before.
Sounds good with a blonde 🖕🏽🌎
I feel angry; I feel helpless. I want to change the world. I feel violent; I feel alone. - This resonates with me so much. Nothing could be more true : (

Well your no good to anyone angry .violent.or alone .

One of the greatest lines in rock history. Creed will live on forever!!
Not one single person can say this isnt christian rock
This song gives me chills. On 9/11 the radio station 98.9 in Kansas City MO played this song about an hour after the towers fell. It was playing as i was driving to the gas station. Alot of people had the same idea, the lines were long. It was so quiet, and people were just looking at each other. Ill never forget that the silence was formidable. This song is forever etched in my mind.
I will be 65 listening to every once in awhile, but soild
A somber day!
Remember how every house on every block everywhere in the USA had American flags in their yards? It baffles me the country has changed so much in 2 decades.
I slept through it when I got up I was horrified to see that on our shores was unacceptable where are the fighter planes where are the carriers where in the fuck is this war machine where the hell is it?
Good point it did bless then 2
This track has become more increasingly relevant from what is happening and the message still stands
Indeed. Good cover here ruclips.net/video/ObafBeIBABQ/видео.html
Agreed i wish everyone would take the message from this song and maybe we can all be one
Agreed! Everything in this song is relevant to this situation our country is in now
Bro! Tell me bout it!!🤒😤🤡
Yes!!!!
Y'know Scott has troubles just like the rest of us with one goal in mind and that is peace and brotherhood, the way of the Lord. God bless him and his band for this one.
Im a Christian preacher who always loved Creed for their real world, thought provoking lyrics and great music.
most underrated tune from this generation
drums are insane
and the blues riff is so slick
all the stuff inbetween's cool but that riff and those drums in the intro are priceless sounds
I think Creed stop playing because he was getting sick of the evil that was coming into his life. Amen brother.
This song is incredibly relevant right now
No doubt
I keep trying to tell them, God is One
Will you be my brother? So true.
" The world is headed for mutiny, when all we want is unity".We may rise and fall, but in the end,we'll meet our fate together.
*shhhhieeet , goddamn*
The world needs to hear this right now. "Society blind by color - oh why hold down one, to raise another? Discrimination now on both sides - seeds of hate, blossom further. The world is headed for mutiny, when all we want, is unity."
Well Fkn said.....
@Robert Ferranti I totally agree brother. Hope you and your loved ones are staying safe at this challenging time 💪🏿💙💯
Awsome, im a Republican trumper i agree all the way with the words of this song.
"Discrimination now on BOTH sides" yet one side INSISTS it's the other doing the discriminating! "The worlds is headed for mutiny when all we want is unity" we are being played like puppets, and people refuse to open their eyes (no partial pun intended)
Yeah, but this is just some BoTh SiDeS bullshit, though. The middle isn't automatically the correct answer.
The answer to this song is put god first after all he created u love everything and every one around u god bless everyone 💗🙏
This era will never be duplicated 💯
So you think this early era is better than their peak in 1999?
Doesn't need to.
that riff sends chills through my body every single time this song plays
Great guitar playing. Power cords are 🔥🔥🔥
This song came on the radio today. Back in the 90's, when it came out, I never followed the lyrics that closley, but after hearing it today, I'll be dammed if they didn't predict the future. Crazy.
The past, present, future. Its all cyclical. We continue to make the same mistakes generation after generation.
Things were the same back then...media has amplified things considerably recently for sure though :)
Yeah black people are still being treated like shit 💁
@@jeremywade6986 what’s all this “we” business? My political party gives more to charity than any orher

This song is terribly underrated
Prophetic. Truer today than in 97.
Couldn’t agree more. It’s funny because many people didn’t appreciate it back then.
Music like this was divinely inspired to counteract all the hate that was in music at that time
@@shahin9965

band is underrated.
We go down together, America.🇺🇸
Without a doubt ! ✌️😉
One
This song is so relevant to where the USA is right now. We all need to give this one a good listening.
AMEN
They say creed isnt a Christian band but in alot of their songs they reffence the word of God and i think that's cool ❤😊
Creed.is one of those Bands. That would had been successful in ANY Decade.60's.70's.80's.90's.00's.
This song will never not be relevant.
Agreed! It's a timeless song!
Society blind by color
Why hold down one to raise another

When all we want is unity
We may rise and fall, but in the end
We meet our fate together
This couldn't be more true today...
Amen! I woke up this morning and this song popped in my mind. As complicated as we try and make it with our "special" problems that we use to separate ourselves, the simple answer has always been..One.
It's all in upbringing, the way u were raised,my hood is mixed wit most races and in t 50yrs I've been livin here not 1 killin...EVER,maybe a few fist a cuffs but no killings
My beloved 90's, I was 23 years old in 1997, without regrets I would do everything I did, and mom, you were still with me and I miss you, thanks CREED
I also was 23 in 1997. The simpler days.
I was 20 then good album
I was born in 1974 , joined the US army in 1996 , invaded Iraq in 2003 with the 3rd infantry division, thank God above and his Son, holy spirit that I didn't take a life personally,I know that I by proxy killed and I regret it

If Creed had never recorded another song, this One is awesome enough to make the band IMMORTAL, it's a timeless classic, maybe more relevant in 2023 than the day it was released...
Good song, from good times, oh the 90's. I was a kid these days, who bought my own prison CD album. There felt more kindness everywhere these times.. the time now just looks sad compared to 90's. hopefully it gets better some day, it will..
We need this in every major city right now. May 31, 2020
No matter what u do in life gods always watching god bless god saves
This is still my jam in 2024! ❤
Gotdam! Creed and this song's lyrics, emotion, and ultimate message, has never gotten it's just due.Nor the resoect due in its entire 22 years. That's a damn crime
They made this song for the time we are living in now , people back then didn't know if only they would of knew...
Share it on social media as often as possible. Introduce Creed to those that never heard.
I agree with ya.
The only way is one
My own prison has become a classic album and one of the best albums of the 90s.
My own prison was the best album creed created, but I think the best song the wrote was the faceless man
One of my all time favorites! This song is an excellent form of self expression; full of emotion that resonates within me more today than many years ago when it was first released... so thankful this group of talented people worked together and followed through with creating it so we can all enjoy it. 💖
Beautifully put 🌞
This song permiates truthfulness about the state of the world in so many ways more then ever in 2024
Its crazy how this song is getting more and more relevant the world has been spun into an uncontrollable whirlwind
This song is what we need right now.
Hello how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here
Creed always has this prophetic quality. This song becomes really relevant with all the things happening recently.
He'll yeah I'm still loving creed music 🎶 much love from Grand Rapids, Michigan
If more people realize we're all one people under god It would be a better place to live together in❤
This is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard
It really is great
Lost a good friend and her 10 year old daughter in a wreck January 2018. This was her favorite song. It was actually played at her memorial. For you Brandy and Makala. Love and miss y'all
michelle mcneil I don’t like going into comments for older 90s-2000s rock songs everytime there’s someone with a sad story but it shows that this type of music actually make an impact on people
michelle mcneil I’m sorry for your loss of a friend as well
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Arguably Creed's best song. Doesn't come off preachy with its theme, and still has that grungy rage.
This couldn’t be more relevant than today.
The memories this band brings back to me of my childhood and my parents. It grounds me back to reality. I forgot who I am.
U know
Same but you'll always know who you are the problem is hating it so try not to if that helps @all
Anyone from 2022 listen to these great music?
February 2023 , we need this song now more than ever
This song hits hard right now
To all the haters out there, Scott Stapp was on top of the world and fell to the almighty substance abuse, today he's still getting help, So all of you who talk your in mature bullshit you may be on top of things but remember you can fall just as easily as he did.
Absolutely
Fucker died a nothing.
Darrell Massey just get back up idid
The higher the rise, the farther the fall.
He has mental issues and abuse. He's not a bad guy. He's a hero
This songs is the embodiment of what world is dealing with and what it really needs right now
This track is simply prophetic for the times we are in bottom line.
Creed late 90's i would hear you on the radio every now and then, we didnt have extra money for cd's back then, well done, ya'll make geat songs ;)
This song brings tears to my eyes rt now...2020 Its so relevant! One the only way is one💗☮️
Crying with ya.
Is one
This song brought tears to my eyes when the rock station was playing "One" heavily back in 1999 before Human Clay came out, because I knew that this song was going to become extremely relevant one day, but not this soon.
Sad thing about it now ,it's actually gotten worse
i dont think people fully realize how huge Creed was in early 2000s
One in The Tree of Life Wisdom who creates where HER waters flow. Mans wife in the spirit and Mama body. Not Mama with a Father spirit. Forbidden fruits. Pride of men who deny wisdom because of where she dwells. Thank you Scott for your drops of wisdom. Truly a wise man who knows Mama gave him life Wisdom.
Scott rules!!
Praise the good Lord for such a talent....
This song is a uplifting, beautiful song! Thank you Creed!

I love Creed and their messages are spot on!
Listening to this during the riots of May 2020
Please don’t riot that’s what they want you to do. Unite and be one. People generally don’t hate people. But when they are paid to hate people that’s different. Putting bricks in front of buildings inciting violence. Tut tut we see what they are doing #MAGA
Lmao
Great comment with a goal of getting "Likes". Piss off.
"I feel violent. I feel alone. Don't try to change my mind." This is the attitude that sparks action.
@Rat_kinG and why did you bother commenting then? Hypocrisy.
It's pretty wild how relevant these lyrics are today. This is the absolute gospel and I really hope that we can find a way to come together.
Let's start now while listening to this awesome tune
Yea man, I was gonna comment something to this effect......
Relevant as we're about to enter into 2023
This is a great song to describe civil wars, politics, giving people time in relationships, the coronavirus pandemic and all this other crap we're going through today.
I still remember this addictive melody (and video) from my first time viewing on 120 MINUTES. Saw them almost 10 years ago at Darien Lake, NY. They were amazing. Same great band I saw at Woodstock.
This song has aged very well. Some things will never change
And I love God for everything
Oh my God this song Rocks!! Im 52 and fuck...this needs to be said these days more than hen I heard it from then.
I was listening to this song the night of September 11, 2001.
The words from the chorus expressed what I was feeling.
libs say u just a raciest
This song perfectly encapsulates what's happening in our country. Since listening to this, I've tried to take the initiative to just talk to people, like genuinely talk and discuss things rationally with people who probably wouldn't like me otherwise. The results are actually quite interesting. Being a positive example of what people think they hate, it's powerful.
Affirmative is never justified. The most qualified should be awarded the job!
Yes because treating one "race" BETTER deliberately than another IS racism by definition. It should neither be rewarded or punished.
After 9/11, this song is dearly needed
Live together , love together, eat together, sleep together, breath together. Great song. Peace is the answer. Love is the answer to any questions. Peace out world.
This song gives me hope.
I like creeds music.

sheesh . . . you say you "grew up" listening to Creed . . . whew, you were probably that kid in the basket at walmart when i bought their first album cd. 🤪😬
People make fun of me all the time for listening to Creed. I'm also the friend a lot of people love. I'll take the trade off. ;)

This band got so much shit and yet this is exactly the type of music this world needs
The current generation should open their ears to this song. Especially the beginning. Peace.

This song is timeless! I think this song is a message regarding distaste for American systemic hate and institutional racism that still exist to this day and is not going away anytime soon. We're the ordinary common people of our society overseeing the horrible reasons why people carry out such behavior is crazy to me.
It’s sad what this country is turning into I can’t stand to think what my children and grand kids are looking at may god return before they have to suffer this song has nothing but truth god bless to all
The inflammatory rhetoric from the republicans and the racist bigotry from their die-hard cult following need to be stopped!!! The mental gymnastics required for the party of small government and individual freedom doesn't represent YOU. Those dirtbags put party over people of our country. They claim to be pro-life but the real intent for the abortion bans being pushed is to create more future life's or birthrates of people in dysfunctional families subjected to rape or incest. They're not protecting children and the republican policies have proven to be fail time and time again to keep society safe from domestic terrorist!
The domestic terrorist are the anarchist anti-governemt soverign citizen people. Q anon nut job conspiracy theorist pathological liars, proud boys, oath keepers and other neo nazi extremist like atomwaffen are on the side of the red. They want regression at the very least. The goal was to fundamentally take apart the bedrock foundations and achievements. Destroying America while saying they are making America great again. Rofl
Remind you of something? They are a quiet resurgence of the ku klux klan with their "pure all americanism" rhetoric. I say quiet, because they're just not wearing their white gowns & hoods.
