Dude! Had the best morning eating croissants and having coffees in the alps with you! Can’t wait to get over there again soon and shoot some proper docs together. Thanks for putting this video together man, it all came together really nicely I think! 🤗
Another awesome video Flo, really enjoyed this unique & simple approach! Btw was cool to see you tuning into Roger Deakins podcast, and the Byways book in the back haha!
@@OfTwoLands thanks for that! I just ordered your ebook. I just booked my first 2 brand documentaries for local companies and I'm sure your ebook will help me ensure that I have everything figured out!
This might be a dumb question but do you color grade all your footage first on Davinci and then do all the editing in Premier? Do you apply more grades in Premier if you change your mind or do you go back and forth between the two?
@@OfTwoLandsActually the easiest approach is to do it ALL in DaVinci - the best ‘one stop shop’- so simple to tweak color/sound/edit when it’s all in 1 program! (& Filmconvert is my go-to in DaVinci as a final step…)
Thanks 🙏 for good suggestion but can you make video regarding how the camera work what's consist of like aperture, frame such terms somehow makes me awkward because I doesn't knows too much depth of Camera 📷 hope you get it bro and Congo for 5 million views 🎉
Here is how I made a short documentary from existing footage.
Hopefully this is helpful to you :)
Cheers,
Flo
Great bts tutorial. Helped demystify producing docs. Thnx❤
I guess it's time to go find old footage on my archive drives! Thanks for sharing this video with us, Flo🙌
Thanks for watching mate!! And yeah, you never know what you'll find :)

Thanks man, glad you liked it!! We definitely need more mornings like those! Just move to Europe already haha :)
Beautifully done
Thanks so much!!
Great video as always, Flo. And congrats on 5 million views!

Thanks man!! Haha couldn't miss a talk between Deakins and Fraser, huge fan of Greig's work :)
Great job
Thank you!!
Great!
Thanks!!
Found this one super interesting :) xx
Thank you!! :) xx
Great video!
Thank you!!
Idk if you’ll see this but my question for you is what is your documentary film style called ?
I think it is hard to describe when it is your own style. If I had to though I would say 'organic/natural, quiet and handheld'.

Not a dumb question at all. I transcode in Davinci, then edit in FCPX and grade with Filmconvert. In this video I actually talk about filmconvert :)
@@OfTwoLands do you know the Braw Toolbox plugin? It might be useful for your workflow.
