Ah, qu’est-il devenu?--Rosa purpurea, Maria, sancta mater (Losier, Sicilia)

Our dear friend Cellini has been accused of murder. To be fair, he actually did kill the guy. Now his two most faithful companions, Ascanio (Michèle Losier) and Teresa (Mariangela Sicilia) await his safe return.
I absolutely adore this production (Amsterdam 2015) for many, many reasons, not least of which are these two amazing actors and especially Losier's facial expressions. Here we see Ascanio getting a bit too cozy with his boss's girlfriend. But it just wouldn't be a trouser role if he wasn't at some point crushing on the soprano, right?...
