My dog has cushings with liver disease. I give daily...SAMe, Milk Thistle and TUDCA. We did slippery elm for about a yr....and also colostrum and added organic pumpkin in with food. Look up TUDCA. its for liver repair.

Milk thistle is amazing for people and for dogs it can clean your liver up like you have a brand new liver I've had people who had non-alcoholic cirrhosis and it totally redid their liver

Hello, I would love your help! My cat (13 years old) has been diagnosed with an enlarged adrenal gland, doctors say it's probably due to a tumor, they can't find out if it's malignant or benign, but one of them told me it's best to remove it completely. Problem is the surgery has like a 20-40% mortality rate, it's really dangerous. The enlarged adrenal causes some issues, like low mood, high appetite for food, he doesn't drink a lot of water, but I think he does pee more than he used to. Also his belly is bigger (although he hasn't gained weight) and his muscles are weaker. Doc says he probably has Conn's syndrome. Also if it's cancer he could get worse. I've been watching your videos and wandering, could he benefit if I gave him Fenbendazole? Or anything else! I would really love to avoid this very risky surgery. :(

I take milk thistle every day, don’t have liver decease but do take meds that can cause problems oh and it’s great for fatty liver too.

Denamarin totally saved my dogs life. He was suppose to die at 3 from liver disease caused by copper storage disease.He is almost 10 now. Both Denamarin and low dose Penicillamine have saved him.
What's copper storage caused by?

@@annbrown1558 I believe it is a genetic abnormality that some dogs unfortunately have and it results in an accumulation of copper in their liver ( from food) which leads to liver disease. We caught his at 3 yrs, due to a bizarre twist of fate. Normally when it is detected it is too late for the dog. When his original doctor examined his liver at 3, she said it was very scarred due to cirrhosis caused by the disease and he probably would not survive after the next few months. If caught in time, and there are areas of the liver still functioning, the liver can regenerate. He just left his new vet where I moved for his check-up. He will be 10 yrs in Nov. The vet said by his exam he would think he was only 3 or 4 yrs old.
@@tmoh808denamin advance you have to get fromba vet. The other is an OTC from like chewy or wherever.
Denamarin (is sam-e), low dose antibiotic, milk thistle and a strict ‘low protein’ diet saved my dogs life too, she’s now 14 years old. She has a liver shunt. I also add herbal remedy liver support everyday (a herbal mixture tincture to support the liver).
Do you recommend the herbal capsules Pau D Arco, Clove, Wormwood and Black Walnut for dogs as a natural deworming medication? We are going to order those from Walmart made by Honest Herbs. I wonder if we can give our 70 pound dog those capsules every half a year as a deworming maintenance.
Back in March 2024, my toy fox terrier was diagnosed with acute liver disease. I put her on a regiment of milk thistle, Sam-E, amino B-plex, vitamin E, dandelion root and diuretic (Furosemide). In May, we had 5 lbs. of fluid drained from her stomach and hind legs. Could I stop the diuretic at this time? Could she be on the above holistic medicine forever? Thank you.

I've been giving my old dogs, medium size, male and female, 1/4 c of veggies/fruit in the blender and adding most of these supplements into the mix (except Curcumin which they don't like) and adding a bit of raw honey, dandelion/nettle/green tea to liquify everything and then mix that into their fresh meat (chicken, beef, pork, fish,...) daily. Their coats look great, their bad habits have extinguished, they act like happy puppies, and don't have any major health issues.

Do you give all the mentioned remedies together or is there a hierarchy? Milk Thistle in the morning, curcuma in the evening or both together, dandelion inbetween? Does one negates the other? My dog had ten times to high liver enzymes. With Milk Thistle and a change in her diat to high protein, e.g. cottage cheese, raise in carbohydrates and vegetables and significantly lesser meat, the GOT was back to normal within 3 weeks.

I got a pre dental blood work done and my dogs liver levels where off and enlarged. Did more test and ultrasound and he was diagnosed with Cushing Disease.
He's on meds now and been giving a few of what you recommended. He was a picky eater before. Now its so hard to get him to eat. Lord.

I just signed up for your webinar. My chihuahua foster was diagnosed with liver disease and a sluggish Gallbladder. The vet and rescue group basically have given up on her and want to euthanize her. I have been having trouble getting her to eat. Some of the supplements you mentioned I am already giving her, I will add the rest. It’s hard to get them down since she won’t eat.
Can please speak to a sluggish gallbladder at the webinar and what supplements to give. Maybe the same since liver and gallbladder work together ?

Great information, thanks. What is your opinion of Standard Process Livaplex? i has copper, is that a problem? Also, what about Standard Process Canine Hepatic Support? specific for canine liver but expensive. is it worth it? When should we worry about liver enzymes gong up. One other question if i may sir. Denamarin advanced. advertised as better bioavailability. Any experience with it. it has Milk Thistle and SAMe in it. Thanks in advance

My Papillion threw a blood clot to her liver. She was diagnosed with IMHA, which after a whole regimen of Steriods, she is now in remission. She is still on Denamarin though for her liver. Is this medicine really helpful?

can a hernia be healed without surgery on my LG dog.
Hernias are dangerous. Seek the counsel of your vet. There is nothing you can do holistically. Do you know what a hernia is? Research it and youll see.
I’m a RN not a vet but hernias need to have the muscle stitched. A hernia is intestine popping through an opening in the muscle. I can’t imagine it’s different in animals.

@@KiwiRN444I worked with surgeons who did thousands of hernia repairs. There are often many complications and the stitching doesn’t always work. I’m sure animal surgeons keep those facts quiet just like human surgeon$ do.

My dog is not really having liver desease but taking meds which are not good for her liver. We tried everything but the ONLY meds that worked for her are Steroids....so she took liver protecting natural meds and feels absolutely great now. I will though watch your Webinar because i'm interested how to protect her best!
Steroids are bad for the kidneys in human and ptobably do the same for dogs.

Hi, Dr. Andrew! I need to go back and watch your webinar, but I wondered … could you make some content speaking about Copper Toxicosis? I have a litter of six Malshi Mix pups. I had my parents dogs DNA tested through embark and they were all clear except for one variant of ALT. When I had the puppies tested individually, two came back with a single variant (of three?) for Accumulating Copper Toxicosis. That’s when I noticed that every commercial food (including freeze dried and frozen raw options) contained extra copper supplementation. This has me really worried for all of my babies! I do my best to feed my dogs really well. I vaccinate minimally or not at all and skip all the chemicals for “prevention”. But still, here I am worried about their liver health.
I’d so appreciate any input on this and how we can take better care of our dogs who might be prone to accumulating copper.

Hi was very concerned my dog is 13 and has several lapomas and looks like they are getting bigger..I have used bkack castor oil and bought some horse ivermectin but haven't given him any as of yet ...Not sure how much to give to him ..he doesn't seem to be bothered by these things

All the vets that I saw for my dog, when he was throwing up yellow bile, before he was diagnosed they told me they had no clue what was going on, by the Grace of the Lord almighty I found an article on pancreatitus and I had to show the new Vet clinc I am with now and they did the blood workup and confirmed my findings. I stopped buying the kibble my Wilson was eating before and now follow Dr Jones recommendations 4:39

My dog suffers from idiopathic seizures, he takes phenobarbital & levetiracetam. When he first started on pheno, his liver enzymes were elevated. I put him on denamarin for 6months and his liver enzymes went back to normal range. He now takes 800mg of milk thistle & i give him sam-e 400mg daily. He weighs 80lbs. His diet consist of gently cooked food,mostly proteins, some steamed pumpkins, puréed broccoli & fresh blueberries. He also takes MCT oil for seizures.

fenben is the answer for dog cancer. My dog had cancer and also tested positive for parasites. I gave her fenben for the parasites and the cancer dissapeared.

Fenbendazole is for parasite so may be the liver was not good but parasite gone all is fine I don't trust any doctor no even vet

Liver failure cat remedy below!!!
I took in a rescue 4yrs ago who turned out to be dying of liver failure. I took her to 3 different vets who all prescribed the same med (denamarin) & said it would help her but not heal her & that she would die.
The video below saved my girls life, & her kittens got to keep their mama. In 2 weeks her blood work was completely normal, I was shell shocked after being bled dry at vets. This remedy cost me all of $40. She has never been back to the vet since all those years ago & she is thriving to this day.
