Thanks for all the love and subs from this video! I was inspired by the flashback scenes in Tobey's Spider-Man 3, especially in the police station thinking of his Uncle's death - black and white colour schemes, cuts back and forth to the actor etc. If you like the edit, awesome! If you think it could be done better, give it a go! That is the beauty of a fan edit, personal touches!
I subbed

I couldn't do better, unlike the intro to the Six Million Dollar Man, I ain't got the technology and definitely not the same skills, but as far as it fitting with the film, I would bet that even Stan the Man Lee would have been pleased with it, awesome video, or dare I say amazing.
I settled on this
This isn't what they showed us in theaters, but if you are a true fan of the Spider-Man movies, then this is the version you saw in your head.
Underrated comment
Everything point on correct. No joke.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
exactly
We truly know what you mean I saw the scenes especially with Tobey every single one in my head he is part of my childhood ...
And this is why I broke down in tears when I saw this scene in the theater
Andrew: "Uncle Ben said it..."
Tobey: "...the day he died."
The look on Tom's face at that moment you can see that he realizes his 2 counterparts have been through exactly what he's going through now. It's a powerful moment.
Maybe she didn't die for nothing Peter.
Aka we been through it it's your turn but it'll make you.

"With great power, comes great responsibility" That made me tear up

The greatest line in the history of superhero movies. 🙌
You could really see how Peter was taken back in time for that brief moment to his talk with his uncle through the way Tobey delivered that line.
That will always be the greatest line ever taught in any comic book or any superhero movie and hearing Tobey Maguire finish the line that Tom Holland said that not only gave me shivers it made me tear up because a Tobey Maguire‘s character is so wise like he’s been through it all and he will always be in my personal opinion he will always be the greatest Spider-Man of all time
Tobey Maguire's uncle Ben's last peice of advice to Peter; *with great power, comes great responsibility*
Andrew Garfield's uncle Ben's last words to Peter; *if you can do good things for other people you would have a moral obligation to do those things*
Tom Holland's aunt May's last words spoken; *you have power Peter, and With great power there must also come great responsibility*
RIP Cliff Robertson, the actor of the original Spider-Man's Uncle Ben.
Uncle Ben literally was the last role he played before his death.

Infamous?
Why infamous?
Infamous? Dude 😂
Iconic*
But Aunt May...
“Uncle Ben said it.” “The day he died.” Gets me every time!!!
I was wondering here. Didn't Uncle Ben only say it to Tobey? Andrew heard it from his father, right? Or did they tell him both and I just forgot?
@@xentharas5629 no I’m pretty sure uncle Ben did say it to him when Uncle Ben, Andrew and Aunt May were all that the house
@@StillSymbiotic then they both said it.
I found a scene today where his father said it a the graveyard where gwen was burried
@@xentharas5629 The scene you saw was a deleted scene. Because it wouldn't really make sense despite Andrew's great acting.
However, Uncle Ben did say it to Andrew's Peter, technically. What he said was "He believed that if you have the power, you have the moral obligation to do those things! That's whats at stake here, not choice, responsibility" which roughly translates to "With great power comes great responsibility".

Both of them works tbh.
The faces they make when they say highlights the acting skills of both Andrew and Tobey.
This scene works with the flashback and without the flashback.
I feel like the flashback scenes hide the acting that Tobey and Andrew did.
This is very cool tho. This is awesome.
But it's like an old TV show version of NWH but I think it is still better it puts more meaning of what happened.
@@thundersoul7761 I mean... Do we really need to have the flashback scenes?
true
I was having mental flashbacks when I saw this in theaters.
Yeah I agree. It's like that It's their past and they don't him to go to the revenge path.
If they make Amazing Spider-Man 3, we could finally have that flashback to when Andrew Spidey stopped pulling his punches.
Maybe a live-action take on superior spider-man. Except this time it's all peter.
That is exactly what there setting up
We all know there gonna make it the fans have spoken
It's just a matter of when
@@someguywearingpotatoesskin6835 I can’t wait. After all, Spider-Man 4 with Tobey is already of interest to Sam Raimi. So anything’s possible.
It made me think it was a possible hint at when Andrew’s Spidey finally got the symbiote suit in his universe.
Imagine if Andrew was actually Doc Ock all the time!
*3:59** Time goes by fast. Tobey's Peter was just a kid in high school, so we saw him working and becoming Spider-Man. and now here he is, getting older and wiser, guarding Uncle Ben's lesson until his last breath.*
4:03 The way he looks over to Andrew, it’s as if he realizes that this is the crucial moment that will mold this Peter into a true Spider-Man
When Andrew Garfield says: “…I got rage full, I got bitter…”
That completely killed me, and the way he just said it, he nailed it, you can still see that it’s still kinda killing him in the inside, but thanks to his Spider-Brothers, you can see at the end of the film he moved on cuz he was able to help his fellow Spider-Man.
Andrew has always been the best version of Spider-Man to me. I just wish he got a better director and writers and stuff, like Tobey got. If Andrew got that crew working for him, there would be no question he's the best.
@@NovusIgnis Oh no, he had an amazing director, Marc Webb is an amazing filmmaker, to me it was Avi Arad who was was always involved in this films, he was the problem in this marvel movies, he was always in charge in this films and always took charge and change the story of the movies. That’s why he’s barely producing in the mcu universe, he only produces movies like morbius and venom.
Rageful
Andrew: I got rage-full, I got bitter...
Tobey: I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye.
Andrew's Peter had someone he treasured and he promised Gwen's father that he'll leave Gwen out of it and when she died, he got bitter and rageful, stopped pulling his punches and felt responsible for what he did, the emotion of Andrew here just hits different now...
You have a young hero who’s just gone through the most painful moment in his life
Pain of loss

But then you got 2 other versions of him who knows just what it’s like to go through that pain and darkness

I was 4 years old when the first Spider-Man film was in theaters. I can’t believe it’s already been 20 years.
3:00 Perfect use of scenes from Spider-Man 1 there. Good job.
It amazes me how Jon Watts was able to bring back all of these characters from almost 20 years ago, continue their character arcs, intertwine them with each other and create corresponding dialogue, offer every single one of these characters a second chance at redemption from their past, place all of this within the MCU, have all of that influence what happens from now on in the MCU, AND give everybody a new beginnings, especially Tom Holland’s Peter Parker! There were so many opportunities for this movie to go wrong but it didn’t. This shows just how amazing Marvel is at making movies, and how bright the future of the MCU looks

To be fair when she died in Andrew’s arms when trying bring her back she looked unconscious rather then dead
it would have been so cool if they actually included these clips in the actual movie it would bring so much nostalgia who grew with these films.
This would've also helped the people who never seen the movies or forgot about them so people like your mom, grandparents, average MCU enjoyer, or younger sibling wouldn't be like "who's that?" or "do they show this in their movies?".

3:00 Damn now that I think of it, tobey was brutal when he chased the accused killer.
Did a rewatch of the movies when I made this - Spider-Man 1 has such intense and brutal fights, so starkly different from the MCU. The final Goblin fight blood spilling, his outfit tearing, bombs exploding and throwing his body….the only thing that’s come close to that violence I think is the apartment fight in NWH
I actually watched all of the Spider-Man movies just to prepare myself for No Way Home, and I was actually surprised of how much I remembered about the first movie from the Raimi Trilogy.

This is better than the original. This SHOULD be in Spider-Man No Way Home!
1. You noticed that when Tom!Peter sensed Andrew!Peter and Tobey!Peter, he put Ned and MJ behind him. Poor boy, he’s deathly terrified of losing someone else he loved
2. Notice that when they’re telling their experience, Tobey!Peter is telling it in a relatively calm voice while Andrew!Peter’s voice is cracking, like he could’ve cried. Both of them have moved on differently. Tobey!Peter have moved on relatively well, having coped with the events of his movies, probably because of his age. Andrew!Peter hasn’t moved on. He’s still affected by Gwen’s death. He became bitter and possibly more violent (“stopped pulling my punches”).
Damn... This is more touching than the original one :(
Yeah, I truly grew up with Tobey Maguire very much from my childhood as he was my definitive Spider-Man actor.
4:00 that struck right through the heart of my nostalgic consciousness, cannot explain that feeling 🥲
"With great power, comes great responsibility."
Who ever said Superhero movies don't deserve awards, are completely delusional. You find some of the best acting in movies like this and its only getting better everyday. I still see that scene with Ironman at the end of Endgame as such a powerful moment and RDJ did a fantastic job.
It's emotional, but the acting really isn't that big of a deal. Nobody would ever accuse these actors of doing their best work in these superhero movies. They're cotton candy: sweet and flavorful, but full of air and empty inside. That's why Watchmen is such a good superhero movie: it isn't one. It's a crime drama with a superhero theme.
4:00 holy shit dude... right in the feels
Every time I watch this movie and I hear Tobey and Andrew talking about how they suffered great loss you can’t help but really think back to those moments and how sad they were different when you watch it in this movie. Hearing Tobey and Andrew tell Tom what they have been through it just hits you so completely different it’s just so perfect the scene was so perfect just really brought back all the memories I have being a Spider-Man fan. In hearing Toby Maguire see the iconic words it was just so incredibly perfect. If you guys are true Spider-Man fans always remember with great power comes great responsibility.
Better than the original.

Totally!
Maybe yes or maybe not

I appreciate
"I don't care anymore. I'm done."
God man...what a powerful line to tell us just how truly hopeless Peter had become.
I feel like for anyone watching No Way Home who didn’t watch the first Maguire movie, probably thought the “I got what I wanted” line meant that he killed him deliberately

Seeing tobey accepting the fact that revenge doesn't bring you any peace nor does it make any better was really nice. One of the best scenes in cinema history. All 3 generations come together. Awesome
Nostalgia is one of the saddest things in life when you see something like memories of this og Spiderman from your childhood. Man it's the little things ...
Adding the flashbacks from previous Spider-Man adds so much weight to the dialogue and really brings everything together in a very emotional way, no matter what universe or timeline, every version of Peter Parker at some point in their life has experienced some form of pain. If they had done it like this in the movie, it would have truly sealed the deal for me. This was so well done.
I just thought about this but if Ben truly died in Peter 1’s timeline by something Peter could’ve stopped-I can’t imagine the aching guilt he must feel of feeling like he’s now made the same mistake twice; how he could’ve stopped a criminal but stopped himself both times.
I don't think he did. Peter 1 never acted like he carried the weight of a tragic backstory, not until now.
There is also no mention of Uncle Ben throughout Peter 1’s timeline. May and Peter never even said his name. It’s almost like he doesn’t exist in the MCU.
I read a theory somewhere that Ben died in this universe as collateral damage to Loki's invasion of Earth but I do not think there was any official canon on that. The only reference we got to him was his initials on some luggage.
But iron man instead it
@@TechMeister-1993 oh yeah. I forgot about Peter’s suitcase with the initials on it. BFP, as in Benjamin Franklin Parker.

I would have been completely ok, with this.
When I first saw this in theaters, I cried like a baby; absolutely broke down in tears. The story of Peter Parker is a coming of age story about a boy turning into a man but at the same time, it's a story about grief and turning that grief into something better. This is why Spider-Man; no matter what version he is, will always be a beacon of hope. This hero has changed my life for the better.
This was the perfect movie to use flash backs
If they showed these scenes in the movie theatre it would’ve been perfect
I just wish they added they’re themes in this moment and the three of them swinging with their each themes

@@Cr102y Their uncles defined the other two Peters
This scene is phenomenal really showed how great of a actors these 3 are, I just wish we had more of this
What makes May's death so much more heartbreaking is that Peter 1 was trying to do what was right and ended up with the people he was trying to help betraying him.
Peter 2 let a robber pass him out of spite from a dealer who cheated him out of his money and although Carridine didn't kill Ben, if he didn't startle Flint then he wouldn't have accidentally shot Ben.
Peter 3 became Spider-Man after letting a robber escape who killed his Ben and later although he was trying to protect Harry, Peter 3 never actually did any legit research to see if his blood could actually save Harry and instead just automatically assumed the worst was going to happen and wasn't even going to try to help his friend find a cure when his blood could possibly save him. Instead Peter 3 was going to leave Harry behind after he lost his company and no longer had resources and still wasn't cured, so he could go with Gwen to England and although we can understand his motives, I think Harry's anger was a little justified. Sure that didn't make him killing Gwen alright, but still how would you feel if someone who was supposed to be your best friend left you behind for a girl when he could possibly save your life when he barely tries to see if you could be cured when you have nothing left?
Peter 1 never had to save the villains especially after some of them tried to kill him, but he still tried because he didn't want them to needlessly die if he could save them. Peter 1 easily could've sent them back to die if he wanted and didn't because he wants to try to help save everyone including villains. In the end Peter doing the right thing is what lead him to lose the last of his family and later his entire identity as Peter Parker.
Andrew spiderman’s blood would’ve killed him, if u watched tasm 2, we later find out the spider venom was modified to only be suitable to people with the blood of richard parker, and that’s why peter survived unlike many people who tried using the spider venom, so if harry had used his blood, he would have died from the venom.
@@PeerwasNOPE Richard Parker also said that without his bloodline than Oscorp wouldn't be able to continue his research with the spider venom. Harry wanted Peter 3's blood since it was obvious to Harry that Spider-Man had most of the abilities of the enhanced spiders including self healing. Although it's no guarantee, it could've been very possible that with Peter 3's blood then a cure could've possibly been found. Richard Parker specifically said that Oscorp needed his "bloodline", not Richard himself, so if that's the case then Peter's blood could've possibly cured Harry with the proper research and alterations to the spider venom to be accepting of Harry's DNA instead of just those of Richard Parker's bloodline.

Best scene in the MCU. This is cinema.
Wow. Better than the scene in the theatre.

Well done. Beautiful video. This movie proves two things to me. That Spider-Man matters to people. That Andrew Garfield deserves to do more as the character. I’m saying this as someone who grew up with the Tobey & Raimi movies. Garfield’s Spider-Man was my favorite in this film. The emotion, impact, performance & the reaction from fans of all generations make it obvious that he should be given another film.
After that death scene you know peter just leveled up
The expression of shock on all three Peter's faces was just epic and phenomenal. Great job, man, this editing of yours should have totally been in the original movie to make it more nostalgic. I wish Peter-2 and Peter-3 had got flashbacks every time they saw/faced their villains too.
I get chills every single time I see this. Best. Movie. Ever.
Tom : "Its not my problem, i dont care anymore"

One of the things I realize about this scene is that Tom is looking at both versions of himself, meaning Spider-Man (Andrew, who is considered the best Spider-Man) and Peter Paker ( Tobey, who is regarded as the best Peter Paker).

uncle ben death is so sad for me
You forgot a clip of Andrew listening on his cell phone to his Uncle Ben saying "with great power comes great responsibility."
Other than that, this is awesome.
i still cannot believe my childhood hero tobey returned and dawned the suit again, 8 year old me would be so happy
I had the same exact idea pop up in my head when I first saw that scene when the movie released! I was hoping that someone would be able to put flashbacks from the other movies on this scene while the 2 Peters talk about their mistakes, it honestly makes it much more emotional than it originally is. Thanks for the video!
It's an amazing, powerful scene but something that gets me...
Peter 3 (Andrew) was never told verbatim "With great power, comes great responsibility", in a non-canon Deleted Scene, he WAS told that phrase by Richard Parker, but he specifically names BEN in this scene as the one saying it. Ben's speech in The Amazing Spider-Man was:
"You're a lot like your father, you really are Peter, and that's a good thing! But your father lived by a philosophy, a principle, he believed that if you could do good things for people, you had a moral obligation to do those things! That's what's at stake here, not choice! Responsibility."
Yes, it's the same thing at the end of the day, but it's the same runaround that Civil War did with "If you can do the things I can, and you don't, and then bad things happen, they happen because of you."
When you realize that the trademark of every Peter is to have the speech by a loved one before they died
This movie completes TASM 2 I feel at peace with that movie now, and i love it even more knowing that Andrews spiderman can now move on in Peace knowing he isn't alone in how he feels even if the people are across the multiverse
The scene is so good. Even though its their first time seeing each other it felt like both Tobey and Andrew are guiding their little brother away from the darkness Tom will face in his life.
Tobey is the oldest brother
Andrew is the middle brother
And Tom is the youngest brother
They both want to see their little brother to not go in the same path they did
Why did they not put flashbacks during this scene ?? I remember, when I was in the movie theaters, in front of this scene, I was waiting and hoping for flashbacks so hard.. That's why I was so disappointed...It's definitely more impacting and nostalgic with flashbacks ! it makes the scene much more coherent and important ! It's like "oh yeah I remember these scenes" or just for people who didn't watch the Tobey's trilogie and Andrew's films, it could have given them an idea of what these films looked like and then, they could have understood the pain. Well, even if Spiderman nwh was a good movie and I had a good time, there were so many discrepancies and errors from the screenwriters... John Watts was not the good one to product such a movie like this.
Thank you for correcting the errors of people supposed to be qualified in the field ! It's definitely better like this ! Great job👍
