    *Remember that this saw needs to have adjustments made to make 0 or 90 cuts accurately **MyBest.Tools** I had to use a right angle on the deck and blade and then adjust the bolt to get the correct reading. Once this is done, it works great.*

      mine was also very slightly off from being perfectly square, just some minor adjustments and all was good

    This is a great saw for the money. Just a heads up, you can just slightly loosen the small screw on the blade guard. The screw will hold the plastic guard up while you change the blade.
    Interested to see the results!

    Buying one today. I have one of the 30 ton 12" dewalts which is an excellent saw, but it has to stay in the garage. I've found cutting studs for framing with a circular saw to require a great deal of practice to be both accurate and fast, so picking this up for $160 on sale tonight for the basement.

    Great saw. Little finicky on the alignment and accuracy, so check yours with a square to find your true 0. Some tuning may make this even better.
    I paid $200-something a few years ago but noticed it for $159 on Lowe's website today in their after-Christmas sale. Great deal.

    Just got this saw in place of my dewalt 12 inch which was 68 lbs.
    I will be using this saw to build railings and stairs in my railing business.
    I love how it glides effortlessly. Note to all, the fence may need to be adjusted so the blade will cut the back of the bottom of the material. Frustrating to find. Also, a few little adjustments for square vertical.

  • @TheMags9128
    @TheMags9128 2 года назад

    Good video! I would suggest removing the saw frame side safety arm screw to avoid the “WTF” moment when you lose the nut in back and you don’t have to align the washer in between. Also on my 12” saw the Phillips screw didn’t need to be removed completely because the safety cover is slotted.

    Good video. I have had mine for over a year. Many comments on dust collection. Has anyone looked and/or felt around in the dust port? Mine has NO “hole” for the dust to escape - none. Am I missing something?

  • @robertlynnblasscyk6541

    1st thing why would you buy a 60 tooth blade it comes with one why wouldn't you move up to 80 tooth blade if you're doing fine trim work.
    The worst saw I have ever owned to change a blade. Maybe good for a homeowner. Not for someone who needs to change the blade frequently and needs to do production.

    • @PlatoonGarage
      @PlatoonGarage  3 года назад +2

      Bought the Irwin 60 tooth because the guy at the store said the quality of it would make it cut like an 80.
      What do I know, I'm no pro, the new blade cuts like butter so I'm happy
