Consider the JODM square gshock TI back plated variant with a bracelet. The bracelet gets high marks for comfort. Unfortunately, Casio charges stupid high prices to purchase the bracelet alone.
Bro I just bought this like 20 min ago , it's been something I've been wanting for years now I just bought it for 150 on Amazon 224 with shipping and tax ( comes from Japan and I paid for faster shipping only +20). then I looked up a review and saw your video made me glad I made the choice
You really can't go wrong with this watch. It feels like there is zero weight to it when on the wrist. Being my first square, I now want to get one of the steel versions. I do wish they made a matte carbon band though, under the watch strap loop you can see it in matte, would look so killer if the whole strap was matte
Nice channel, thanks for the review. How long has this model been out? There's one on my local fb marketplace for $75 with a dead battery so feeling concerned if this has just been released. Thanks.
Could buy these 18 months ago and they are kind of overrated. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool piece but normal 5610s and 5600s weigh in about 10 grams heavier anyway. Unless your going full steel GMW-B5000 which is over 160 g
why do you want muliband 6 and bluetooth. that's redundant tech and will zap your battery. new to g-shock squares, so correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't it better to have multi-band instead of bluetooth, and definitely not both?
The metal squares have bluetooth and atomic (multiband 6) so they have a module that supports both. I don't know if it zaps the battery but it wouldn't matter as this module also has solar. You can 'take or leave' bluetooth but it is handy for setting world time. its not as functional on the metal squares because you can't get notifications like you can on the fitness square or new rangeman. Also there is some online chatter that the atomic masts are going to be switched off at some point so bluetooth would be better then. The g-shock square that is regarded as the 'ultimate' version the 5000U has multiband 6 but not bluetooth so its up to personal preference. I like having it.
Coz not all countries have atomic radio wave. So, BT is an added option to keep the watch accurate. As to batt, I think this is not an issue. I have an oceanus which also has both Multi band and solar, and batt never became an issue
Sam, you hit it again with the crazy macro shots.
I like the looks of the band and all the tech in this model. Wish it wasn’t so glossy.
Yeah I agree it's a little too glossy for me.
I own this fantastic watch. Shininess is not a problem nor the text on the band. My everyday Go TO watch! 🙂
I like this watch I have one in my collection along with the metal square two of my favourites.
I like it more if it didn't have the shopping list on the strap 😩😂
I actually like it a bit more because of that ngl
nahhh subjective, I like it👍
Yeah man, that strap is just too much.
Yeah, looks like a good one. Is have to see the shininess in person

It is really great that Casio offers some titanium caseback watches. I have a nickel allergy and I can not wear stainless steel watches.
I believe they do have titanium caseback gshock, but it is the premium gshock line
Have they improved the alarm speaker to make it hearable?
It‘s a great watch, the band is a bit on the long side though.

Not sure why it would have a dead battery because this watch is Solar powered?
Leave it in the sun for a day or 2 to charge it. I would be more concern with why the bro on FB is willing to part with it for only $75.
@@cpl8168 after my son wore it more it was fine. Yeah not sure why, it was in his desk drawer for a really long time.
I spent several times that money on some g-shocks. I would probably give a hundred box for this one, but 250?!? Casio, are you guys out of your minds?
I wish they added a screw down on this.
only thing im not sure about is the words on the band, not really a fan
I like it!
Matt carbon finish would be better

Man I need Garmin to bring out a ring so i can get my G shocks back out again. 😢
I keep hearing Apple are going to do one? That garmin is pretty cool!
The strap on this watch is too long. Longer than normal gshocks.
Not for me but thanks Sam .
I moved off of this one as the band has no give and can be uncomfortable. The band lacks breathability and doesn't work in hot weather.
I didn’t experience this myself but I can see how this could happen. It is stiffer for sure.
How is this different than a metal bracelet.
@@j.taveras8447 Metal bands are articulated, so they tend to wrap around your wrist a bit better.
