Bird is the only one of the 8 who can claim best shooter and best passer, great rebounder and a very good defender, and most important - the most clutch player of all time.
Who gives a shit, Bird was practically handicapped with all the shit that happened to him, and somehow he still did all that, I’m deducting 5 years from Magic, 7 years from Jordan and 15 years from LeBron, put it all on Bird.
Remember Larry played with a mangled finger. He got before he played basketball. Larry played with an injured back from mid 85 to the end of his career. And didn't take any pain meds. He lost the stability of his back. He had to be in a brace, get adjustments, would lay on the ground instead of sit on bench. The Dr said it's like someone slamming a car door on your finger & keeping it there. The other teams knew where to get Larry. If you re-watch Larry vids, you can see dudes getting his back. Rodman was one. Add the Achilles injuries and surgeries on both feet. It's incredible he was able to do the things he did. I seriously doubt any of these new cats could do half of the things Larry did.
Charles made that comment from a perspective of Bird already having his career altering back injury in 1985. From 79-85, his speed was merely average. He could jump but was no leaper; just average. Bird was on the 'all defensive' team on 3 occasions. Once he had that back injury, he immediately lost a step and his jump was also affected.
33-0 in his last year of college… it was something I wasn’t aware of either and knowing that gives him a recognition of his talent. But that being said… what this video doesn’t allude people to is how much pain Bird was in and how he played through it. There is one incident where he got elbowed (by accident) that left him with double vision. He still played. The double vision lasted through his next game where you can see him wearing special glasses. Another time he was injured the doc told him he could go home so he could recover… he didn’t and instead returned to the court despite his pain. I can’t recall the name of that video… but it definitely put him in a category of his own. *Update* The name of that video is: “4 crazy stories that prove Larry Bird is that toughest player in NBA history!” Long, I know.
OK, the way you supported the creator of the video you reacted to gets a sub from me. I'm an old school Boston area fan and I witnessed Bird's career. All I can say is, to me he's a once in a lifetime athlete. I've never seen anyone like him and I'm sure I never will. There is SO much more to him. Just keep watching Bird videos and you'll be more and more impressed. The main thing is, the highlight videos are impressive but they don't give an idea of how Bird could dominate the flow of a game, by doing everything, all over the court, seemingly always in the right place at the right time. Just listen to what Michael Jordan has said about him. Listen to the dozens of his former opponents who love to tell stories about him. Legend indeed.
Just question,"Did you ever see Larry Bird play?". What was your favorite game? The only reason I ask is I love the way Larry Bird played the game and I would consider him a Goat.
100% agree. Larry is a once in a life time talent. I wouldnt use "athlete"... Id give that one to Jordan. The man is a fakking monster when it comes to Athletisism. But as an all around player and value AS a player, I genuinly think Bird actually greater than Jordan. Removing Jordan from the 90s Bulls would be a lesser blow than taking Bird from the 80s Celtics.
When James Worthy says he rather guard Jordan than Bird I distinctly remember someone saying: "The fear of guarding Jordan is that you know what he's gonna do but you don't know if you'll be able to stop him. The fear of guarding Bird is that even if you would be able to stop him, you have no idea what he is about to do." This is obviously paraphrased, I don't even know where I remember it from never mind the exact quote... but does anyone know what I'm talking about?
You knew what Larry Bird was going to do because he told you what he was going to do before he did it making you feel like an idiot because you couldn't stop him knowing what was coming LOL
When he DID tell you, sure. But he didnt ALWAYS do that. As Worthy said, you have to play the game as a thinker. Thats not a quote of someone KNOWING what his opponent is about to do. Most of the time Larry was just straight up unpredictable.
I was there for almost all of this, especially the valid important parts! I grew up in Terre Haute Indiana, the Home of the Sycamores at Indiana State University. If you check your messages, you'll see stories about French Lick, watching Larry Bird begin BLOWING MINDS!! I totally grew up in Bird Land, lived in Terre Haute from 3 yrs old on, and I fed Larry Bird a couple of times at the "NEW" Long John Silver when it was just opened in Terre Haute. I could tell you stuff you'll never know otherwise. Larry Bird brought something to the table that, before him, did NOT EXIST! Larry Bird was SOOOO different that it was undeniable! He was going to be UNBELIEVABLE and INCREDIBLE, and he DID. And I watched!!
something rather significant thats not mentioned in this video is that Larry played over half of his NBA career with a back injury that the doctor said wouldve been a "career ender" for anyone else. For about 7 years Larry played with a broken spine, it had lost its integrity and wouldnt hold him upright. They figured out a way to realign it and force it in place for a couple of hours at the time so that he could play. This is why you often see him lying on his stomach at the side lines before a game. Unless Im mistaken he actually won his third MVP *with* this injury. Now... Imagine if he never had that injury. or any of the other injuries that wouldve made him a lesser player and he is still in the GOAT conversation. I dont care who is the best, thats just fakking inspiring
Guys like Larry, Magic, Jordan, and Kobe were Unicorns. They were different. They never phoned it in, and always went for the throat. The things they did, we may never see again.
A few weeks ago, I don't know why, a Larry Bird video popped up on my suggested for me crap. I watched one. I can't stop watching people react to Larry videos. I either need more beer or better pot. Since my herb is fricking awesome, I must need more beer. Ooh, Fireball. Ima go get a beer and the Fireball out of the freezer. Roll tape.
Interesting fact: The video mentioned that James Harden is being paid $40 million this year to win games. In Larry Bird’s entire career he was paid $25 million.
Baby, this is the first time you've come across my suggestions. I'm a 54 year old Southern woman who IMMEDIATELY "did my chores" per your directions. I started laughing, the hubby (26 years now) asked what was so funny...I told him I'd just subscribed to your channel because I HAD to. He looked at me like I'd grown another head and busted out laughing when I replayed your intro...he said "it's good to know that you're still in tune with men's direction. I knew I married the right one"! (I said "it's a bit late to consider otherwise at this point lol!)
Tommy Heinsohn said of Bird, "Larry was playing chess when everyone else on the court was playing checkers." You can search for the clips on RUclips, but there's clips of both Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar saying that Larry Bird was probably the greatest player that ever played against. Many people would consider one of those two men to be the greatest of all time. Another person in that conversation, Bill Russell said that Larry Bird made him proud to have been a Boston Celtic. Michael Jordan joked that he was glad to hear that Larry Bird was retiring because now he actually had a chance of winning a playoff series against the Boston Celtics. I don't know where this came from but I noticed suddenly over the last couple months everybody is doing all these reactions to Larry Bird. I was born in 1976 so my entire time through school was Larry Bird's career. I don't know what triggered this big Larry Bird interest, but I'm glad to see him actually get the credit he deserves for just how special of a player and how damn frightening of a level, good he actually was. I remember one guy mentioning that he had read comments and went up and asked his dad " this is probably going to sound crazy, but there's people saying that Larry Bird was better than LeBron James? Are these people crazy?" He said his dad chuckled and told him that it was not a crazy statement. His dad told him as a young guy that he had never watched Larry Bird play and didn't understand that Larry Bird was incredibly special. He told him he'd have to really think it over hard, but all around as a player Larry Bird very well might actually be better.
I’ve seen all the greats play and I m a life long Knicks fan but Larry Bird my favorite. If if wasn’t hurt so much who knows what he could of accomplished. And your right, the players today all want to be stars. Bird was a complete team player. That’s why Boston was so great. This was a great video. Thanks for posting it. New subscriber
Not only everything in this video but what really makes bird the greatest is that he was trash talking and telling the other teams what he was going to do and they still couldn't stop him
Definitely glossed over a couple points but it's a solid video really. The most important point, in my opinion, is exactly the one made at the end. EVERYBODY that watches the video (and was not around to watch the game in question live), gets the frozen shot question wrong because Bird's expectations where otherworldly. It was soo commonplace to expect that Bird was going casually hit yet another dagger at the worst possible time. It was a great way to drive home a point that none of the other 'greatest' could ever answer.
TOP 6 - WILT, MICHAEL, MAGIC, KOBE, LARRY, LEBRON - And U were definitely RIGHT, He had a HUGE HOLE in his game w/ that mustache !! Great reaction to the video !
*LARRY BIRD IS AND WAS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA* . He was a basketball genius. Larry for Indiana University and Magic for the Lakers. Some one said that he went from being a "garbage man" to the NBA WTF?? Bird was 19 (playing in Indiana State) when his dad committed suicide and his mom couldn't make ends meet with her now five kids. He quit the Indiana State after 40 days partly because of that and he hated how large it was and he was homesick. ALL six of the kids worked and gave their mother their mom the money. She and her husband had split up and he was a heavy drinker. Georgia waitressed at two low paying jobs but not much money for growing boys. His father (who they loved too) stopped paying child support for a long time. Every Bird kid worked and pitched in what they could. So yes Larry got a job with public work department driving a garbage truck and mowing public property lawns, etd. The second week of each month all they had to eat was Wonder Bread and condiments with salt and pepper. Sometimes a treat of bologna. So all others THINK about that when you complain about living in the ghetto to basketball fame. Then he went to the Indiana University where he led the team to winning every game. In the NCAA finals is when Indiana State was against Michigan State (who were much more talented) and they lost by like 15 points. But those two became great friends later. And they wrote the book WHEN THE GAME WAS OURS . The attendance and TV ratings record has not been beaten. Bird became Bird because of PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE in the gym. To think that he played "pick up" games French Lick is nonsense. He practice the angles of each court like in HORSE game. and a genius in the fundamentals. He could pass like that because he seemed to know where every player on the court was. Listen to Julius Erving who said if you think he was just the "Hick from French Lick" you'd be sorry to think that. Bird hustled when stars normally *didn't* do. And he played through pain and never ever would take a pain pill. His back was his worst injury and there were games where he could barely lace his shoes up. Below is another example of how Bird played when he was really, really hurting. That and his back. That infamous game there against the Indiana Pacers? That's Chuck Person, nicknamed the Rifleman. He trash talked Bird to the media and said "I'm going Bird hunting tonight" This is the game where Bird's head bounced off the court. That's Person who is running down the court with his arms outstretched. Bird had been watching the game in an alcove with ice packs on on his cheek which had been fractured. *But that gloating by the Rifleman is why Bird jumped off the trainer's bench and ran back into play* And it wasn't just Magic Johnson who has said he had sleepless night knowing he'd be up playing against Larry Bird. But it was most underrated player Dennis Johnson "DJ" , who Larry said was the greatest player in the NBA was *DENNIS JOHNSON* And the best played players on the Celtics were *Dennis Johnson and Kevin McHale* . Read his book DRIVE to learn all about DJ. Bird and DJ has what they called their SECRET PLAY. *DENNIS JOHNSON HAD ONE RING* before getting his third ring with the Celtics. (FOUR RINGS) But who even KNOWS Dennis Johnson? That's a crime. Dennis died in 2017 on the basketball floor from an unknown heart problem just like Pete Maravich did. Here is their "secret play". It was nicknamed *3 to 33* ruclips.net/video/tQYs5rsSud0/видео.html
You did the best reaction to this video. You spoke at just the right times and just the right amount. The one thing that keeps most people from calling him the GOAT is not having the massive physical abilities like MJ. But what most people don’t realize is that MJ played 6 playoff games against Larry and never beat him even once. It took MJ several years to get Chicago to championship level, Bird took the Celtics from worst record to the best in his first year. He was rookie of the year against Magic where Magic only got 3 votes to Larry’s 62 and the won the championship his second year. Great job. Thanks
Excellent reaction, you earned my thumbs up! The segment you commented on, the Detroit playoff game when Bird stole the inbound pass, fed it off to DJ (who deserves all the credit in the world for being alert enough to cut to the basket at that point), happened so fast (truly a bang bang play, which it had to be). One second we were hanging on this is over, we have to step up in game 6. To shock at the thrill of the last second victory! Back in those years, Bird brought us so many of those moments it was uncanny! And because of the cumulative effect of all of those moments. He remains at the top of the list for all us "old" school fans, and has us push back on Labron as the greatest conversations.
I'm 49,English and never played basketball . At skool however he was the only player I knew of. Obviously when I left school I learnt about Jordan and the Bulls but I love trash talkers in any sport! 🏴
I grew up during Larry Legend's reign. I got to see a lot of those moments when they happened. Him, Dr J, and Kareem, were my favs back then, as a teen.
I know he is the GOAT. I grew up in Michigan watching Magic play in high-school and college. I was always a Pistons fan, and then followed the Lakers too, because of Magic. You do not know how many games in the regular season, playoffs, and finals I had to sit and watch Bird snatch it all away. I LOVED to hate Bird!!!! It wasn't until he was gone from the game for me to truly appreciate what he was.
Birds my goat, he's my favorite player and this video (making the case) barley scratches the surface but gives you a solid idea. If you haven't yet courtship of rivals about magic vs bird and their friendship. It's beautiful how heated rivals became great friends. Magic going to birds retirement ceremony and the crazy thing is about birds retirement ceremony was not even on a game night and still sold that place out. Magic calling bird to be the guy to induct him into the hall of fame over a coach, over his fellow teammates that Magic played along side with speaks a lot about those two.
HIGHLY recommend looking up Muggsy Bogues. Not the "greatest" player, but at 5'3" the shortest NBA player who still had a 16yr career because of his DRIVE to be a true "team captain" on the court. Not the 'greatest', but possibly one of the "most motivational' to be all you can be despite everyone saying you shouldn't even be in the game.
The game has been outdated for a generation. Players are far bigger, faster and stronger than the not-too-distant past. It should be updated with the rim being raised a foot, the court being widened by 10 feet and lengthened by 20 feet. Push the three point line back about two feet. The way shooters shoot from 'downtown', it needs to be addressed.
One of the best reactions on a Larry Bird vid. He's been my favorite player for decades. And this is a nice level of exposure to 80s basketball. 😄 And back then. Bird, Parrish (Chief!), George Gervin, and Dominique were my favorite players... rather broad range, but hey...you like who you like. God bless!
Don’t care about the music, but always nice to see Larry bird getting respect. He is called legend for a reason. Yes, who is the best is always up for debate. Jordan should not be in the conversation.
We all know the NBA is a black man’s league. There are so many talented black players it’s hard to remember them all. However, once in a blue moon something happens that makes you notice. That something was when an awkward hick named Larry Bird hit the stage. It was so cool when everyone finally noticed. He broke the color barrier and received respect from every player he played with. Together, he and Magic saved the league.from possible extinction.
If you're doing the Pistons? Ask their fans two things. What ONE PLAYER spoiled the chances of the Pistons going into the finals?? It has something to do with Thomas and Bird. :P And what incident happened in which Thomas did feel an apology was needed. Larry said no problem but "you call my mom and apologize to HER". And bless his heart he really did.
Great video. Congratulations. Do you know who Len Bias was? The "rival" (and friend) of Michael Jordan. He could be now in the GOAT conversation. Chosen in the second pick in the 1986 Draft, by the Celtics. He died that day (or the next day). It would have been great to see him play with Parish, Johnson, Bird, etc...It was a shame that he died so young. You could make a video of him.
The REAL difference between Magic and Bird: Magic was a GRACEFUL player who worked best in a "fast paced game", which is what the LA Lakers were known for. Being able to stretch the court, run up-n-down setting up Off or Def, quick 2v1 or 3v2 match-up breaks, long passes to rip apart the Def before setting up properly, and exploiting speed miss-matches to help the 'fast-pace' going during the game. Bird was a "down in the trenches" General on the court working best in a "grind it out" conference. The ability to exploit lanes, match-ups, speeds, positions to dissect a Def before/during/after setting up. The ability to force Def players to "commit" to blocking a shot or match-up, only to be completely out of place to react to a pass or open player. Sniper-like shots, mixed with stand-back and bomb 3pts. So, Magic will blow you out with grace and speed. Bird will simply blow you out by BODYING you the entire game and come back for a 2nd serving.
Magic had a better supporting cast and not just the big 3 as well as being in the western conference where it was a cakewalk until the finals...as mentioned in the video.
❤❤ !! Larry Bird is in my Top 5 !! I got 1. Michael Jordan 2. Lebron James 3. Magic Johnson 4. Larry Bird 5. Kobe Bryant !! But Larry was a MONSTER !! He could outperform ANYONE in his prime !!
I think he saved the NBA in the US, but MJ made it a global thing (I'm in the UK and we started seeing games on TV peak Jordan), so most of us found out about Bird after the fact, but He's top 5 for sure no question. I assume it was probably the case for many across the world, MJ was very marketable. It was obvious, even to people who did not really watch the game mutch, MJ was clearly different. I think MJ is the Goat , but Bird was one of the smartest players and his all round game was amazing. I wish I could have seen him and Magic at the time (I was born in the 80's so it would have been possible if it got air time here in the UK in the 80's but it did not) Him and Magic is such a great rivalry, and so cool that they became great friends too, the respect. Love that stuff!! I have been watching a lot of Bird and Magic recently and the way both of them pass is a joy to watch My top 5 MJ Bird Magic Kobe Karim Abdul Jabbar But my all time favourite player was/is Gary "The Glove" Payton. Great defender great attacker, and great shit talker, plus I like the Sonic's back in the day
Best post up guard I've seen, penny was nice too but his peak wasn't very long due to injuries. J kidd is up there but Gary and Kemp was one of my favs to watch growing up
Young Buck doing the homework.. The lack of offense and no defense is exactly what's killing the NBA... Magic and Bird single handedly saved the NBA ... can you imagine Bird against this soft ass cupcake D of today ??
Big Kw Bird would have 50 points a game and shoot 60 50 and 90 percent against the players today if Bird played I'm this era he would be the MVP every year and he would have LeBron James in tears from his trash talking
could not agree with you more. he was a little before my time but nobody changed the game like wilt did and i am a huge celtic and russell fan. wilt was the most dominant player to ever play.
I’m pretty sure I said it before, but I will say it again. “If I needed a player to take a shot to save a game, I would pick Micheal jordon. If I needed a player to take a shot to save my life, I would pick Larry Bird”. Pat Riley
He is always my 1st pick on my all-time starting 5. No one better to build around. MJ, Magic and Hakeem. Add whomever, like Duncan or move Hakeem to the 4 and Throw in Prime Walton or Wilt. Swap Kobe for MJ for fun. And no LeBron is not on my all time 5. Larry would have him faking an injury and crying in a towel while Bird walked by and called game winners.
Larry Bird is NOT in top 5... neither is Magic Johnson. Larry Bird is on the top of everything and Magic is right there just a step behind but far over we call "a player". Larry and Magic played a game of Basketball but they NEVER were "a player". After you put Larry on the top of everything and Magic just there following then you can pick top five players and.... I don't really care who you or anybody else pick because it doesn't matter. There was tens of great players with amazing skills and abilities, signature styles you name it I will agree, but they were just great players and nothing close to Magic Johnson and especially not Larry Bird.... nothing...... close.
As an individual player, Jordan is probably the best player ever. But if you include the effect they had on their team as well, it's a tough decision. Not saying MJ didn't raise his team mates preformance but what Bird did for the rest of his team in this aspect is not even approachable. McHale and Parish, even Angie were orders of magnitude better than they would've been without Bird. If you look at the end result of their team's success I'd say Bird probably had a bigger impact on the Celtics than Jordan had on the Bulls, and as far at results goes, had more of an influence on the sport. If I had to pick between them in their prime I'd have to flip a coin. Just to clarify, neither Brid or Jordan are my favorite player. I've always been a Charles Barkley guy. He is a legendary level player and I admire his honesty, on and off the court. Good or bad, the guy was always himself to a degree where very few guys could ever compete. But on a team level I was a Bulls guy. Jordan obviously but Scottie Pippen is my shared second favorite player of all time. He was absolutly phenomenal but was always in the shadow of Jordan, even in games where he deserved the credit, Jordan got it by just being Jordan. And even tho this could easily build resentment in a professional player, Scottie was mostly rather humble. When he was picked for the Dream Team he actually questioned if he fit into that team, like dude! Come on. The other half of that shared 2nd place is Dennis Rodman... I didn't care much for his cocky attitude but *God damn* you can't NOT admire this man's effort and presistance... He was like a pitbull on steroids, no matter who, no matter what situation, no matter if he had been humiliated for 3 quarters, the man never gave an inch, never gave up. Rodman might have been my fav player of all time on tenacity alone if I didn't appriciate Barkley brutal honesty to the degree that I do.
Bro. I can't believe you haven't Broke 5000 subs yet. You should have at least 100g I'm my option. You should branch out a bit. #metal! A lot of beastie boys fans are metal fans aswell. Their are just shit loads of us period. Even Em, Reacting more to his material would boost you even more than metal. It's time!
You can't review Larry Bird without watching the" Legend of Larry Bird" ruclips.net/video/b5kaRbokoo8/видео.html Thanks for the great review! (Magic was still better 😏 )
I want to check out your music; but they way you bob your head to beats you hear in videos; looking like you want to spit bars, makes me think it is rap. I do not like 90% of rap, and am afraid I won't like it. 😬
Ok, that’s understandable. I would say listen to my intro song for this page. It’s called “Let it Ride” LINK: ruclips.net/video/_aRogqc4PWo/видео.html It’s a lot more meaningful then my other songs.
@@shakashinereacts, I actually liked that. I can identify with it. Like I said I am not big on rap; but that song had something to say, and that is what I like. Rap that I like is like that, it has a message. Like Public Enemy, N.W.A., Eminem, etc. Keep it going. I am going to check out more later today. I did share it to FB, so my friends who prefer rap can hear it.

I think magics a better passer but bird is up there. But i very much agree
@@hjcolon24 I think Magic, Pistol, and White Chocolate were just more flashy.
From 1980-1989 Bird had 67% of mvp votes, that's with kareem magic Jordan and dr J in the league ... DOMINANCE!
To add to this...in any year he received any MVP votes, he NEVER finished below 2nd place...pretty f'n amazing.
Bird said "If there are 2 or 3 guys on me, I've got open teammates". And... he knew where they were.

My favorite comment about bird came from Charles Barkley he said God made bird slow without ability to jump just to keep the game fair

Imagine how badly he would break players today with the soft playing and the no defence. He would mentally and physically break them
I'd bet he would have been kicked out of games because of his trash talking...lot's of T's and game banishments...
Magic nailed it when he said there will never ever ever be another Larry Bird.
Really enjoyed your reaction video - no swearing and smart commentary which, if you take a look at a lot of the reactions, is rare.
Hey man, you really need to check out Larry's trash talk stories, they are unreal

My Top 3 Bird/Magic/MJ........ Great Reaction to a Great Video!!! 🌸
One accomplishment he omitted was Rookie of the Year. And he finished 2nd in MVP voting 3 or 4 times before winning the honor 3 times in a row!
Guys like Larry, Magic, Jordan, and Kobe were Unicorns. They were different. They never phoned it in, and always went for the throat. The things they did, we may never see again.
Put 25yr old Bird in a time machine and bring him to the NBA of today and he would be MVP from his first year until he retired. Basketball genius.
Roll tape.
The Bird and Magic story was and is epic...there'll never b another
Interesting fact: The video mentioned that James Harden is being paid $40 million this year to win games.
Tommy Heinsohn said of Bird, "Larry was playing chess when everyone else on the court was playing checkers."
You can search for the clips on RUclips, but there's clips of both Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar saying that Larry Bird was probably the greatest player that ever played against.
His mustache was aerodynamic😊.
He trash talked Bird to the media and said "I'm going Bird hunting tonight"
This is the game where Bird's head bounced off the court. That's Person who is running down the court with his arms outstretched. Bird had been watching the game in an alcove with ice packs on on his cheek which had been fractured. *But that gloating by the Rifleman is why Bird jumped off the trainer's bench and ran back into play*
And it wasn't just Magic Johnson who has said he had sleepless night knowing he'd be up playing against Larry Bird.
(FOUR RINGS)
But who even KNOWS Dennis Johnson? That's a crime. Dennis died in 2017 on the basketball floor from an unknown heart problem just like Pete Maravich did.
Here is their "secret play". It was nicknamed *3 to 33*

The real reason Larry Bird is the GOAT is because he genuinely doesn't care about the conversation like literally every other player does LMAOOOOO
There's a you tube vid by his doctor describing his back injury he got by shoveling gravel on his mom's driveway. He played in great pain .
New sub now... Larry is the GOAT!
Went 33 and 0. Kind of ironic that Larry's number...IS 33!! * Cue crazy music*
22:07
Dude...you made me spit my beer 🤣
Yeah, you're on it. Passing is the key difference between then and know. I miss it, and the mid-range game. Three's have gone overboard.
Larry Legend Bird is a GOAT and he was different on another level!!!!!
PO'MECOLORBLIND
Can’t stop him, don’t question.
One of the best reactions on a Larry Bird vid.
He's been my favorite player for decades. And this is a nice level of exposure to 80s basketball. 😄
And back then. Bird, Parrish (Chief!), George Gervin, and Dominique were my favorite players... rather broad range, but hey...you like who you like.
God bless!
Loving the different stuff you been reacting to... Jordan, Kobe and Bird in my opinion.
You're the FIRST reactor to this I seen that actually GOT the joke about sniffing Green Paint, lol.
Good reaction man. Keep going.
There’s no one like him. Larry Legend is a generational Unicorn.
Please do the other 7 players in this top 8 list too, this was fascinating.
D.J. R. I.P.☘️🕊
He was amazing
Very good video, you did a good job. I enjoyed it
I watched that Game live and I was so upset and thought Boston blew it. And then LARRY BIRD saved the Day. Great game and Great ending.
My top 3 of all time, jordan, kobe, bird
Don’t care about the music, but always nice to see Larry bird getting respect. He is called legend for a reason. Yes, who is the best is always up for debate. Jordan should not be in the conversation.
Rad, I love watching reactions of this video on people's youtube pages. upvote and subscribing.
Great vid Boss. I’m an older NBA hoop head and I would love to talk shop with you sometime for some more vid ideas. Keep em coming Boss!!
Larry put up thos stats having a bad back and unless you have a bad back you wouldn’t understand ( 6 back surgeries) I know
an assist shows up on the stat sheet
If you're doing the Pistons? Ask their fans two things. What ONE PLAYER spoiled the chances of the Pistons going into the finals?? It has something to do with Thomas and Bird. :P
And what incident happened in which Thomas did feel an apology was needed.
Larry legend!
The REAL difference between Magic and Bird:
Magic was a GRACEFUL player who worked best in a "fast paced game", which is what the LA Lakers were known for.
He was an 89.4% free throw shooter
Larry Bird said at his Hall of Fame speech he wanted all the new guys coming behind to leave the game like they found it.
I think they FAILED 😨
I got Bird #3 all time. Good vid...
Who do you have at #1 and #2? Do not say Lebron. Do not say Lebron. If you say Lebron I will literally throw my computer out the window and scream.
@@trhansen3244 LOL.... Wilt, Jordan, Bird.
Jordan, Kobe, Bird...
❤❤ !! Larry Bird is in my Top 5 !! I got 1. Michael Jordan 2. Lebron James 3. Magic Johnson 4. Larry Bird 5. Kobe Bryant !! But Larry was a MONSTER !! He could outperform ANYONE in his prime !!
Yes, the is why the viewers have gone down. One man vs five. No team play.
I have been watching a lot of Bird and Magic recently and the way both of them pass is a joy to watch
My top 5
MJ
Bird
Magic
Kobe
Karim Abdul Jabbar
But my all time favourite player was/is Gary "The Glove" Payton. Great defender great attacker, and great shit talker, plus I like the Sonic's back in the day
Best post up guard I've seen, penny was nice too but his peak wasn't very long due to injuries. J kidd is up there but Gary and Kemp was one of my favs to watch growing up
Why has there not been a Hollywood movie about Bird and Magic? Seriously
The best.
LoL I couldn't agree more .. Bird's trash talk would get a Flagrant foul in today's NBA
@@bigkw1568 You're right Bird wouldn't be the MVP because he would be Dq'd in the first five minutes of the game
Wilt Chamberlain Nuff Said
Bill Russell, 8 time champion
@@justpassingthrough3657 he actually had 11
could not agree with you more. he was a little before my time but nobody changed the game like wilt did and i am a huge celtic and russell fan. wilt was the most dominant player to ever play.
@@bubbaniko64 my bad I meant 8 straight out of 11
I’m pretty sure I said it before, but I will say it again.
“If I needed a player to take a shot to save a game, I would pick Micheal jordon. If I needed a player to take a shot to save my life, I would pick Larry Bird”.
Pat Riley
Nice,,,creeksquad in the house
My opinion Bird 🐦 #1. #2 MJ. #3 Kobe Bryant. Greatest ever in NBA.
Bird was MVP but he was slow and could not jump. Heeeeeheeeeeeee.
Jason Kidd. The best passer ever.
Can you react to "Wilt Chamberlain - nobody loves goliath" by Foobas Sport?
Its an amazingly well edited video on this mythical nba legend
Top 5 of the past 50 years
1. Bill Russell
2. Larry Bird
3. Kobe Bryant
4. Michael Jordan
5. Shaquille O’Neill
Jordon beat everyone but Bird. Bird 6. Jordon 0
I love pointing that out btw 😉
Larry Bird is NOT in top 5... neither is Magic Johnson. Larry Bird is on the top of everything and Magic is right there just a step behind but far over we call "a player". Larry and Magic played a game of Basketball but they NEVER were "a player". After you put Larry on the top of everything and Magic just there following then you can pick top five players and.... I don't really care who you or anybody else pick because it doesn't matter. There was tens of great players with amazing skills and abilities, signature styles you name it I will agree, but they were just great players and nothing close to Magic Johnson and especially not Larry Bird.... nothing...... close.
If Michael Jordan had to go against Magic and Bird through his whole career, he wouldn't have the stats he has. Just saying.
What???????....do yourself a favor and stop commenting. Jordan gave Bird and Magic BIG Numbers, Neither Bird or Magic is known for their defense.
🌎✌️
Byrd is one of the best!!!!!!

Bird is better
4 to 0 to the bulls
Get on the white chocolate, he was far from goat but great and entertaining
Bird was better than Jordan
I want to check out your music; but they way you bob your head to beats you hear in videos; looking like you want to spit bars, makes me think it is rap. I do not like 90% of rap, and am afraid I won't like it. 😬
Ok, that’s understandable. I would say listen to my intro song for this page. It’s called “Let it Ride”
LINK: ruclips.net/video/_aRogqc4PWo/видео.html
It’s a lot more meaningful then my other songs.
Stop.
