Fun tip, if you are able to get a fuel converter, and use the mining laser in a nebula, you'll top off your fuel. If you fly back to a base, you can "sell" it by entering in a "-" number on the fuel menu. Nice way to make a few extra bucks. Also if you're able to get a constructor, you can deploy a mining probe on a asteroid. When it's finished mining, just use your mining beam on it. If you do this while in a nebula, you'll harvest fuel, plus the asteroid w/ your ship; plus mining the asteroid w/ the probe. Three things get done at once instead of just doing it yourself. Have fun.
I started out as a miner so I went into the ship customization and took out my secondary weapons, armor, crew seat and counter measures. I put everything into cargo bays. I have 7. The next thing I did asap was buy a fuel converter, lose a cargo bay to add in an equipment slot forthe fuel converter. everytime you mine in the nebula, it will also fill your fuel tank...The nebula will sometimes cause damage to you ship. You may want to buy a repaor mod next cositing aqnther cago bay but saving cash on those repairs. The next thing I did was buy a bigger fulcrum drive., better shields and so on. now that you have 1000 fuel capacity, if you have the fuel, let it fill up your tanks then go seel half of it back to the station. In the fuel screen, in the top line enter a -number to sell.
Good choice for a game series and for your channel project: making EL let's plays is definitely something that most likely is different compared to many other channels doing boring AAA stuff. I just started playing EL, but I have spent some time with the predecessor Evochron Mercenary few years ago, way before its release in Steam. But you really need to do quite a lot of playing this game even to scratch the surface. Not that Starwraith games are that complicated in the core, but there is just so much stuff to do and possibilitest to take different approaches that learning the mechanics just will take time. But good job and I'm anxious to see more your EL stuff. And do some of that basic quest stuff to learn more of the universe and backstory. It is quite good in itself.
How do you stabilize your ship in the planet athmosphere? I can't approach the surface without having big difficulty fighting against what seems to be super winds...

I just bought Freespace 2 because it's just straight combat and I'd love to play that since I played Elite Dangerous at PAX South the other day haha just gonna go to game stop to pick up a budget (cheap) flight stick and fly some ships in space! thank you for making the video, by the way

Good video! I've been thinking about getting Evochron Mercenary for some time, and then I saw they released Legacy earlier this year. I'm fairly familiar with space sims, been playing since TIE Fighter in the 90s, and I was sorely disappointed with Elite Dangerous recently. I'm hoping EL won't be buggy and disappointing as Elite. In any case, your video was very informative and it helped me decide to go ahead and try EL. Thanks.

game would be great if they really were serious about space explorations cause not sure why copy lot from NO MAN SKY....too much color in space make it unrealistic but close to star citizen but too much green and magenta color is ridicules unproven in real life ...
