Tacitus, a Roman historian in the 1st century, stated that people mistook the Judeans to be of "Ethiopian" origin. Remember, in the 1st century, an Ethiopian was an all-encompassing term for Africans below Egypt and not just the modern country of Ethiopia. Also, in the Bible itself, the Israelites were mistaken for Ancient Egyptians multiple times. Strabo, a greek historian, also mistook them to be Egyptian in origin.

Please, don't take this as an attack on anyone, I certainly love the idea of black people reclaiming their history, but as a student of it, I feel obligated to correct you on that. Both Nero and Caligula were members of the Julio-Claudian Dinasty, descendants of Octavius Agustus and Julius Caesar. They were, therefore, of italian ethnic origins, aka, white/mediterranean.

In both cases, we have to take into account that what little sources we have on them come from members of the senatorial class eager to slander opposing emperors. Furthermore, that those sources appear much later in the historical record, and therefore, are not first-hand accounts. It is very likely that some of their actions can now be considered evil. After all, they were autocrats, with thousands of slaves, but any self-respecting, decent historian will agree that it is wrong to impose our modern lense and moral views on people so far removed from us. History must be a tool to learn from past mistakes, not from one or other race, but from humanity as a whole, and pointing out the "evil" of one individual to imply something inherently wrong with them only speaks of your own animosity.

Do you think the term black means nothing. Not everything has been removed in Germany but you can still finf statutues of black German kings in some German places. There are still coins to be found of black kings from Sweden and Denmark with a full afro and a crown on his head but they are not easy to find. You can find them in paintings.
