      @@suegeorge998 Lead is a much more common element than gold. Thus it is inexpensive and widely used as a weight. Gold is more dense (heavier) but too rare to be wastefully used as weight. But it was a poorly framed question. It should have been framed in terms of equal size. e.g. a cubic centimeter of gold vs. a cubic centimeter of lead. Obviously a ton of lead is heavier than a gram of gold!

      Osmium is the heaviest metal (twice as heavy as Lead). There were other questions that werent great. Like Giraffes are either a Tower or Herd (both are correct) and how many teeth in human mouth is 28 to 32 depending on if you are counting wisdom teeth which most people have to have removed since modern humans cant fit them. I was born without them so I only have 28, you know evolution, modern humans are loosing our wisdom teeth. Its becoming more and more common for people not to have all four wisdom teeth.

    @briquetaverne 5 месяцев назад +2

    I got 16 wrong but I wouldn't say that answering 80 or more made one a genius only having a good grasp of history, geography, assorted facts and math. For example I know that a basketball hoop is 10 feet from the ground but since I normally don't work with the Metric system I had to first know that there are 39 inches to a meter and calculate that 3 meters was 117 inches or 9.75 feet so the 3.05 meters was the closest number of the multiple choice questions. Ask any non-Anglo-Saxon European how many feet are in a Mile (5280)? Then ask how many pounds to a stone (14) and how many kilos in a Stone (6.350)? Another one I got wrong was the flag of Uganda. Few people know other nation's flags that are of countries that haven't had a major impact on the world stage. Would you know the flag of Brunei, Eswatini, Faroe Islands or Bhutan if you saw them? The lands of Fire threw me too because I was thinking the land of Fire and Ice not Fire alone. I only understood it was Argentina and Chile after it was identified because of Tierra del Fuego (which unless you have a little comprehension of Spanish you don't know means the Land of Fire) and since this archipelago is split between Chile and Argentina, I guessed the two countries adopted the moniker of being lands of fire too? .

    EDIT: As I missed the 'hot' specifier in the question (as pointed out by judy-9999 below) my point is moot.
    Antarctica desert is greater than Sahara. Its a real but rarely used term - and thus if asked: "What is the largest desert on Earth?" "Sahara" could be considered a correct answer.
    However - when "Antarctica desert" is explicitly offered as a choice - it is the right choice.

    • @judy-9999
      @judy-9999 6 месяцев назад

      I understand why you believe that the Antarctica desert would be the choice/ answer for “largest desert on earth”, however, the question specified “hot temperature”. While Antarctica is the largest desert, it is also considered the “coldest place on earth”.
      Also, did you notice question #1 asked for the largest terrestrial mammal on earth, which excludes the whale for not being terrestrial? Unfortunately, in my rush, I missed that one word and chose the wrong answer to a question for which I have knowledge. Luckily, I was redeemed in question for which did not request the stipulation “terrestrial”. 😃😋😎

      Adam and Eve is the most widely accepted answer. Although we now understand more about how we evolved, there must have been THE first humans. Adam and Eve are as good names as any, and regardless of beliefs, it's what the Bible says. Maybe the question could be reworded to reflect that.
