In this video we're snowboarding on Tamarak mountain near Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Great tips!!!
Great video Kevin!
Hey Kevin, I love your videos, but this one in particular might be one of my favourites! Great tutorial!! 🙏 And, it's right where my snowboard skills are at the moment. I'm trying to learn how to do 180s and 360s all around the resort. Not quite there yet but I can't wait to try out these tips!!! You're a legend!

Kimberley is like the perfect pitch for snowboarding. Not too steep not too mellow
Yeah, that run looks perfect for play time.
Maybe a good mountain for my girlfriend.
Yoo
@@homealone5087 I’ll give your girlfriend a park she can ride on
the ollie is key!
looks dope asf bro
Wow, this couldn't be made more easier. Thanks Kev!
I agree very helpful
Clean!! I Neeeeeed to board again
滑得好顺滑啊,羡慕大佬!👍
Love watching these videos even though I've never snowboarded before 🙏🙏 hoping to get out there this season working at a mountain, would be super cool
U should try snowboarding
@@ellstackeradventures yes
NICE
Great video man thank you
Is this Kimberly? Looks exactly like the hill where I learned to snowboard for the first time and the friend who was supposed to teach me passed me and I never saw him again that day.🤣 self taught plowing down the hill on my very first run.
Mustache March in full effect. 🤘 The POP is more like a jump, correct? Jumping instead of doing an ollie...? Awesome video.
Is that the GNU headspace board ?
hi Kevin
Completely off topic but are the slopes in the US always this quiet? Currently in the alps and its a mogul field by 10 a.m its that busy.
I want to get better at spins
Ist thet the Kimberley ski resort?
So empty
@@flagrant08 just how we like it
I struggle with heelside pop when I curve. The edge slips...
Hi Kevin, do you use loctite when installing bindings on your board?
Loctite weakens the plastic binding disk and can cause cracking. Do not use loctite.
Thx man! :)
@@AeroStriker893 it’s generally a good habit to tighten bindings each day you ride but teflon tape can help
@@tetribex I did not think about teflon tape. Smart! Thx for the tip. :)
Still don't know when you should pop or when to ollie
isn't the spin at 5:09 a 180 and not a 360? I mean I know you ride out in same stance but technically the board went 180 degrees.
180
yep definitely backside 180 not a 360
Been struggling to do 360s. I've got the backside 180 down but I just can't get enough rotation to complete the 360.
Same, been stalling out at 270. I also struggle off the heels, so I try to frontside off the toes which is harder. Need to work on jumping from the heel.
Focus on your shoulders. Try and point your lead shoulder in the direction that you want to land if that makes sense
@@IronAxeGaming1 I'll give it a try. I recon I need to also create more height first so I have more time to get that 360 round.
@@eazydp yeah im exactly the same as you mate. Popping off the toes feels way more natural. I can do a backside 180 really clean but still can't do a frontside 180 😂. The best ive gotten aswell is a 270 so the thing im trying now is to atleast land with the edge up the slope so i can atleast finish the turn (if that makes sense) then just build on getting more height and rotation.
@@tobyanderson5360 Same here, I'm close, it's just been a lot harder than I expected, which I think is a bit experience and a bit I just need some coaching! Although I can actually do a frontside 180 off flat board or even "the hard way" off toes. It doesn't go as well off jumps though! I can pretty easily pop it off rollers at least this season, which is has been fun. Hoping next season when the jumps are smaller (I'm in midwest US), I can really work on spinning off launch versus only being able to jump in to it.
Is there anywhere that lists your weight and dimensions? I saw you on a 151 evil twin and was wondering if it would be right for me. On a 154 magic carpet at the moment. 61kg
How tall are you? Height is a major factor
@@ryanalig2529 No it’s not. Boards are based on weight, forget about height.
Currently on this seasons Evil twin, I’m riding a 149 and I’m 5’7” and weight 120. I’m definitely under the weight range but I have a great time on my board. Not sure if any of my info helps you out.
@@ReloadDom height plays a role too my man. A lot is personal preference for sure but I lean more into height than weight when I help people find boards. Could use one of those online board calculator things too, might be helpful for Giles
What mountain is this?? Looks like Tahoe but also doesn't lol
Kimberley BC!
I'm able to hollie/pop jumps regular and I'm also able to ride switch not too bad, but my brain freezes whenever I try to hollie or butter switch XD send help ahaha
thats the perfect slope with those amazing side hits. wish we had that here.... :(((
Could you add slow-mo's to these kinds of instruction video's? Makes it easier to see what is happening.
You can do slow mo on your own. Go to settings.
@@maness2112 I know. But then sound and speech is also slow. In his earlier instruction videos a few years ago he did slowmotions while explaining what was happening. That was very usufull.
