Oh, My God. To be a guest on that show would be absolute hell! It takes a real talent to be so calm and lovely while having all of those women come at you!
Bonnie is a warm, sweet, and wonderful human being. I am from what she ofter refers as "the old neighborhood." On the other hand, Barbara Walters is an out of touch, bitter, krone. 'Nuff said!
What I also love about Bonnie, was her use of subtlety. She didn’t have to ram an innuendo into the crowd, she let her audience do the thinking and laughing
Joy:" You were on Letterman last night" Bonnie:"Yes" Joy:"So, how was it?" Bonnie:"Fine. I also did a show"..."That's a little joke." Ah hahahaha - she's hilarious.
Unfortunately, Bonnie being a “nice girl” comedic actress in the same vain as Ellen soon was passed over for roles in Hollywood by the time she hit 45, she wasn’t young enough to be a new “mother”, she had to be the mother of teenagers. What also hurt Bonnie was that she wasn’t a stand up like Ellen, and Ellen’s appeal to the LGBT community as well as to younger career women, gave her a hip advantage over Bonnie’s talk show while Bonnie mainly appealed to Mid-western soccer moms. Bonnie’s fight in Hollywood was always going to be uphill, but for a woman with no acting background till she was 22, she made quite a career for herself and even has accolades as a director.

Barbara was so freaking rude to Bonnie...it's ridiculous...and made it reallhy awkward to watch...
