Wow I had never heard of Bernie before but OMG his tone!!! Also love the fact he's really thinking about his fans with his signature models pricing! Ultimate respect for Bernie Marsden!!!!!!
I had the pleasure of seeing Mr Marsden in Carlisle tonight. You really have to see Bernie Marsden live to appreciate just how good he is. A fabulous guitarist and a great performer as well as a really nice guy.
Had an original 2012 guitar which was fantastic, I only sold it to get a DGT! Had the pleasure of meeting him a few months ago what a lovely man; and his book is a must read for any fans!!
Great sound and great playing Bernie, you can't beat the old guys of which I am one. You have some really interesting blues variations that made my jaded ears prick up. You have musicality in spades.
Oh man, I like Bernie Marsden. What an incredible musician! It's awesome that PRS did release his signature model again. I hate when PRS does release something and discontinue it after a very short time. I know, I know, it makes them "rare" and "special" and help to create more GAS... but still! Some awesome guitarist and guitar models deserve to be "permanent resident" if you know what I mean... :)
What a legend, but when he said he'd recently played Darlington and Whitby, my heart sunk, because both of these places are a reasonably short drive from where I live...DAMN, how did I miss that
I'm in love with prs, shame I can't even afford this model. I watched bernie play this model and his Gibson les Paul "the beast" 59 original.... They sounded so similar, makes you wonder why people would spend £250k when you could buy this model for less than 1k.
Just heard Stevie Nimmo playing one of these. It was the outstanding guitar of the night and I expected to hear him playing a Les Paul. Fabulous sound ..... and player!
I just picked up the Signature Black ver of this guitar.. it is beautiful. There is a video of Bernie playing it. Looks like a LP Standard w creme edges. I can't wait to start playing on it.
Bernie you’re a legend! I still have my 2014 one. It’s a very well made Guitar. Only the pickup selector is giving me trouble. Although the pickups were good (much better than the Epiphone I trade it for) I changed them for more brighter ones. The only thing I don’t enjoy about it, it it’s weight. It tires you after a while. It’s not crazy heavy, but you feel it in your shoulder. Great guitar for the price!
I like the se 245 in sound and looks. Kinda like my LP and the LP copy's I have. The copys are made in Japan. I do have a CE24. It's got something. A different sound than my other guitars. Paul has a good product. Throw a set in your Korean made Epi and roll. The LP string scale is 24.5". Throw a set of 245 American pickups in and roll.
I have SE Bernie and Zach models and keeping both. But what I'd *really* like is a hybrid model: Zach (semi hollow, chunkier satin neck, adjustable bridge) + Bernie (neck binding & phase pull pot). In a goldtop with stained mahogany back. Oh man!
Thank you for thinking about the Common Man and not want to be mega rich like most of the sellouts in the music industry totally going to buy one of your guitars what a sound
I love my original version of this guitar, however, the reissue is only available in three colours; two of which are very similar to each other, so I don't understand the logic behind that. I am also sorry to see that Bernie has chosen to stick with that bridge design, which is flawed in a number of ways. You cannot adjust individual string intonation, and the bridge can begin to lean forward over time. I purchased Tonepros locking stud bolts to cure this problem. Another issue is the price: the original guitar's retail price was £595, but this version retails for £799! Why? Don't forget that this still has a veneer top!
SITH GIRL PRS SE guitars went up here in the states as well. I live close to the factory I might chat with Paul and ask what brought cost up. I personally haven't had issues with that style of bridge but it's hard to go wrong with what you did, that's a solid upgrade. Take care!
dubster82 I think he's knocking company's like epiphone who did photo tops. I guess that's his way of saying it's a veneer and each guitar will look individual.
I bought the new one It went back to the shop for repair twice , the only original electrics left was the pick up and a tone pot. Then changed the strings and the e and b strings tuners fell of hence why the bloody thing would never stay in tune. Talking of which it is hard to keep in tune any heat change it forever goes out of tune. My 3 harley bentons perfect AVOID SE models quality is shit

I have both core and SE guitars and Bernie's sig is absolutely outstanding.
Classic sound and classy guy.
A fine gentleman and great guitarist. Hope to get one of his signature guitars and perhaps a reissue of "The Beast" '59 Les Paul.

Bernie is a legend glad he is still jamming with us

Everyone loves Bernie! I bought his book, great read on the old days and the old ways.

Rock on, Bernie!

Great taste, Stevie Nimmo!

I had one of the original BM SE's. I could not find a single flaw in it.
IMO the SE Bernie plays much better to play than any of the ones out of the S2 line that i've played personally or even other SE's ive played.
This guy can still play.
If my custom 24 SE wasn't so damned good I'd have one of these in a flash!
Get both. You know you want to :p
Bought one all the electrics replaced some under warranty Now the bloody tuning heads the screws that loose they fall off when the strings are off
Wish they made a lefty version of it!!
never have i clicked a notification so fast!!
This kid is pretty good. Shame it doesn't come in a goldtop
It does, I have one, I just had to put P90's in it, it's stunning
If there was a goldtop of this, it would be really unfair for all other guitars

That nut looks a lot better than the cheap plastic overcut one that came on my original.
"All these tops are different which is very clever of them to do that" Are they photo flames?
No it's a wood veneer on a solid maple cap.
dubster82 I think he's knocking company's like epiphone who did photo tops. I guess that's his way of saying it's a veneer and each guitar will look individual.
I knew those pickups sounded thicker and more meat. NICE!
I have this guitar and I have no idea how to use the locking tuners can you make a video to help me sting my guitar !!
Jordan West locking tuners are great. There are videos all over YT. They all function the same. You'll love them
