you know they're true fans, not because they're reciting lyrics, but they're actually humming the guitar chorus.
Sad to say but it's true I went to a concert a couple of months back everyone was singing along to why do you only call me when you're high but then when dancing shoes came on it was just me, my mates I came with and two other random people singing along. It was actually quite depressing
+Matt thursby wow that's sad... Wish they'd play songs of their first two albums more, like I don't think they've played this live for a long time now? I know Alex's voice isn't what it was but even so...

I would give anything to feel that feeling of thousands of people cheering for you just for doing what you love. That must be the best feeling
Look at Alex as he plays the last chord. That innosence in his eyes. He looks surprised, like, 'why are the cheering'? Besides, you can feel the pure love for music here. Playing for the sake of playing, thats it. Im afraid that today its kinda rare to find in their concerts. It truly saddens me.
I'm afraid not, mate. But there's no blaming him I guess. It's almost inevitable. But even though nowadays Alex could be quite cocky, you can tell by the look in his eyes that he's not enjoying any of it lately.He feels tired, I think. Which sadly is, also inevitable.

Unfortunately, something that I've noticed about extremely talented bands that skyrocket to fame at such a young age is that they get bored.. Very quickly. They've been there done that quicker than most anybody. They could've easily produced another masterpiece such as their first two albums but they were tired of the same old and hence humbug and suck it and see we're made. Sadly they're not the same as they were in their younger days.
Transformation is just a requirement, I reckon. People have to go the distance and see for themselves who the hell they are
There's nothing like they're bored or anything...afterall....now they now that they're famous n they have fans who always cheer for them

Wow. That drum bit at 2:40 just gets me. That shit is nailed.
That is not even the hardest part of the song. There are parts where the same thing is played WITH a constant 8th note kick drum. And the "she won't be surprised" part is again a pain in the ass to play.
I just noticed Matt's t-shirt! It's cool how they're touring with the Black Keys now, 6 years later. (and I saw them live last last week; it was the best concert I've ever been to.)

I haven't seen them yet, but I really want to. Anyway...I really think it's a pitty they, as silvioCarrera says, don't put that much energy in the live shows anymore as they do for example on this one. I mean, it must have been unbelievable to see them, playing that song, that strong.

most of the drummers i listen to don't use metronomes and have perfect timing :s chad smith is one of them :p that guys is a powerhouse :D

it's called live music. it happens when you don't play with a metronome (as it should, cause most drummers don't have perfect timing, and feed off the crowds energy) could you imagine playing to that crowd? Talk about getting hyped up.
