Phew...I was conscious when I edited this my outro contained a line which was very similar to yours, and expected a copyright claim heading my way 😂...I clearly watch too many of your vlogs!! Thanks for watching David, much appreciated
Great vlog Jamie, i cant decide over normal ans long exposure, both great images. I'm pretty sure a friend of mine has photographed a rock band there, when there were still four dishes. shame they have gone but it still looks a great location.
Thanks Simon - yes I understand several ‘events’ have been set up there including using it in a SciFi movie! I think they’ve probably nearly off of them to appease the nearby landowners!!
HaHa, is that a Norfolk word Jon?! Thanks for your feedback mate, the single poppy is my favourite I think but it just feels a bit wide with too much space on both sides. I think I might have a play with it
You did take some lovely shots, sir. I particularly enjoyed the shots around the old RAF radar masts, from WW2. Some lovely photography anyway, sir. My old boss Ron Burton would have appreciated this. Does anyone in the photography world remember Mr Burton or Mr French, from Grimsby? Both had shops on Wellowgate.
Cheers Paul. Yes, nice place to visit but I think I would have struggled for images that time of day, without the cloud texture I had. Plenty more places nearby in the Wolds that look worth a return visit
Great video, I'm a beginner photographer with very basic equipment but this is inspirational to me, I'm going to trawl through your other videos and hopefully gain some knowledge, keep up the great work, I prefered the normal exposure photo of the dish 👍🙂
Great vid Jamie, you don't say... those shots are very dramatic.. love those clouds, the Long Exposures worked great. Enjoyed watching and thanks for sharing 👍
I always fancied snapping Stenigot rising through the mist or on a frosty morning when all the dishes were there so disappointed when it started to disappear. I think you used to have to get permission through the estate office and they would charge professionals (I've seen a sci-fi movie filmed there and on an album cover). It's obviously still worth a visit, so thanks for another interesting vid!
It's the shame I missed the others while there were still there. I've known about these for years but never got round to shooting them myself. If I'm honest, its getting harder and harder finding new locations to visit and vlog now!!
Iiked the longer exposure mate, you can still see the texture in the clouds but with a bit of movement. I could really do with a poppy field shot aswell. Nice one mate
Hi mate, how you doing? Cheers - think I was probably a week too early in this field but one in the bag anyway. Got itchy feet to get out and vlog again this weekend after my holidays!!
Jamie Overland haha know the feeling buddy, I’m away in Scotland this weekend for long one, can’t wait to sneak off and do a vlog lol 😂 did you have a good hol? All good here thanks buddy how’s things up north?
Yeah fantastic time mate, chilled by the pool for the week 🍺...enjoy Scotland bud, reckon I might try for a sunset tonight but will be a bit flatter than where you’re going!
Loads of drama in this vlog Jamie ☺. I completely understand, as I can't get enough of those epic, moody, grey skies. I prefer the normal exposure dish shot simply because it emphasizes the clouds a bit more for me. The lone poppy shot is very good too. I'm already subscribed so I can't improve your stats. Cheers, Jeff
Thanks Jeff, yeah as you can tell I do like a bit of drama in the sky!! Interesting that there’s a real mix of preferences for the dish image, just shows how subjective it is. Thanks as always for watching Jeff
Yes I need to explore this area a bit more for sure. The area around Stenigot did look really nice so I’ll be going back. Thanks for watching and the comment 👍
I liked the shots, all of them, and I think there's a good 'excuse' for Apocalyptic skies with these sort of structures. It does add to the Drama (another D word for your list). I admit that I ended up shouting at the screen near the beginning 'Stop being so bloody English, get over the gate and take the shots!' - I'm with the old English 'Diggers' on that one .... 'The Land for the People'.
Welcome back mate..😂 loving your critiques! I’ll soon have my own vlogging dictionary at this rate! Knowing my luck the landowner would be landscape photographer and recognised me!!
Out in the woods, on a dreich yet productive day, I bumped into a dog walker, amidst the rain and fog. He looked at me somewhat askance, unable to believe that a well dressed gentleman in tweeds was lugging around tripod and camera bags. 'What are you, some sort of celebrity photographer, or something?' You never know what perceptions you get from Joe Public, (Now't as strange as folk). I was mistaken for Midge Ure once though, now I look more like Chairman Mao.....age doe's terrible things.
I'm undecided... The long exposure sky looks great, but I might prefer the increased texture in the standard shot... Colour toning on those two is great either way!
Thanks Garrick - I genuinely can't decide. I can't believe how many times I say that - I watched back my previous vlog and said it loads of time in that one too!! I guess we all have our little phrases 😊
@@JamieOverland local historical groups were against the dishes being scrapped & i was lucky to get pics of them before 3 of them dissappeared, it is private land they are on but the gate doesnt stop anyone walking to them i did it aswell as long as your not causing any problems or destruction you wont get shot at or face an angry land owner there is a control room & bunker halfway along the field aswell
Haha...or a bunch of starving monkeys 😂 Thanks for calling out the single poppy shot - I really like that but feel it’s a bit wide, however I needed the width to get the ‘drama’ in the sky.
Love the moody sky Jamie ! moody mono looks awesome
Thanks mate - yep certainly loads of drama in the sky in this one!!
Yep plenty of drama in those excellent images mate, very enjoyable 😊👍

Jamie Overland they all should do it now though 👍🏻😂

Dramatastic!! Gorgeous day. I prefer the le version. The mast pic is great. Single poppy shot is very effective. Great vlog bud.

Jamie Overland yep, it may go square

Thanks very much Adrian
Great vlog Jamie, love the colours in the dish shot and my vote goes to the short exposure shot.
Many thanks Dean. That seems to be more popular - I prefer it as I like the texture in the clouds
Hi Jamie just discovered your channel via Gary ( RePhotography) . I liked the long exposure shot of the Dish, i do like a good bit of LE work.
Hi Lee, thanks for subscribing! I love doing LE work as well - this comp had LE written all over it really!
Love the first shot what a shame there is only one. And go on rub the Poppy’s in. I want to do a poppy video lol
Lol, thanks Paul. You better get a move on then!! Cool location isn’t it but not a good without the 4 of them together. Hope you had a good birthday!
Great vlog Jamie, turned out well for an initial visit.

Ha thanks Seb - I think I made the point clear enough! Thanks for watching as always!
very good jamie liked what you have done what filter system do you use.
Thanks Roy. I use the Nisi V5 Pro system with built in CPL. I then use a Format Hitech 6 & 10 stop ND and a Nisi .3 med grad filter

That mast is a protected site as it's one of the original 'Chain Home' RADAR towers from the Battle of Britain.
Really! Well I didn’t know that, many thanks for letting me know. Thanks for the comment

Didn't know there was a dish there and must admit I live in South Lincs and never been to the Lincolnshire Wolds.

I know that you said 'drama' and 'dramatic' quite a lot but with that sky I don't blame you!! I loved the shot of the tower by the way :-)
lol, cheers mate. I watched back Hardwater again and realise I said it loads in that vlog too!!
Very nice photos! I prefer the normal exposure and not the long exposure
Thanks Nik - I think I slightly prefer that one as the texture in the sky is more defined. Many thanks for watching
Was there any drama in the sky? 😂. Nice job Jamie! I vote for the long exposure

there use to be 4 dishes & i have pics of all 4 months before they were reduced to the one
Hi Jason, yes I remember there were 4. I think 2 went a year before I recorded this vlog

I thought the single poppy shot was my favourite image J.
Bananadrama would be a good name for a girl band

My top video has 50x more views than I have subscribers and SWMBO had one that's more like 500x ... But we aren't weekly vloggers by any stretch
Yeah its no big deal really, it just surprised me when I looked at the analytics. Thanks for watching!
