    I really enjoyed coming along on your early morning shoot Jamie. You have inspired me to spend more time in the same spot rather than moving on too quickly. I love your images. They are simple yet so effective.
    What I like about your channel is that you are just you. No pretense, just a great photographer making some beautiful images that you want to make. A lot of people talk about the importance of making images for ourselves but you just do that without needing to explain yourself. I love when you ask what the rules are and then say, 'Who cares!' That is how I want to be with my photography. Thanks Jamie.

      Thank you so much Mary, this comment means a lot as it’s exactly how I want to come across and to hear I’ve inspired you too makes creating these videos even more fulfilling 🙏

    Thank you for sharing with me these early morning lovely views, it’s a very special time of day, I do share your enthusiasm for taking photos, I was taken to see the Lackford Lakes in Suffolk didn’t see any Kingfishers but the views were absolutely beautiful, have you been to see the Lackford Lakes? Have just subscribed and glad I did. Really enjoyed this video Jamie so natural from start to finish. I also have the same problem with gloves, so I use hand warmers, very cheap and last up to 12 hours. One in each pocket works wonders.

    Such a nice place especially early morning, can't wait to see a few more leaves out, they seem a bit later than in the city. The reflection shot really take the cake for me - love that abstract type of photography! If you're ever near Cambridge early morning check out Grantchester Meadows, it's often very misty along the whole stretch of river even when there isn't any elsewhere. I have a couple of images on my flickr (link in profile).

      @@JamieOverland I'm twenty minutes from Loch Lomond. I'd be happy to have a chin wag for ten minutes as you pass by.
      Whose doing the logistical organising (driving) ? I presume you're not all driving your own cars all the way up.

    • @JamieOverland
      @JamieOverland  2 года назад

      @@iainmc9859 One car, not sure whose yet! Not sure we’ll have time on the way up to stop off but we are heading to the Glencoe area so if you fancy popping in over the weekend be good to say hello

    • @iainmc9859
      @iainmc9859 2 года назад

      @@JamieOverland Glencoe's two hours north from me. I only asked as via the west side of Loch Lomond is your only viable route.
      Advice re: getting beyond Glasgow, presuming you're taking the M74 route north (or M8 from E'burgh) Take the M8 west on the south side of the Clyde and cross the Erkine Bridge (nice views of Firth of Clyde), fill your car full of fuel at Morrisons at Dumbarton (it gets more expensive the further north you go). The shops in that area are the last retail center until you get to Fort William (beyond Glencoe).
      Remember the alcohol limit for driving is a third lower in Scotland than England. A pint will put you over the limit for about two hours. Oh, and DON'T eat deep fried Mars Bar 🤢

    Abstract images are a genre of photography I just don't understand. Can someone please explain what the appeal is? There seems to be no sense of place or reality. Images for me personally need to have print potential for the wall. I would very quickly get bored with abstract images & they would not stand the test of time on the wall.
