This is how to style high rise pants and yes it is long over do. I think this is also a perfect example of making vintage modern. I also make an attempt a mid-atlantic accent. So please enjoy how I style high rise pants and making vintage modern.

Love it! I wish men would bring back the old styles permanently. So classy.
Thank you kind lady! I think that is my mission; to inspire men to elevate their style.
@@FashionableFather This is great and I’m finally ready to ditch my slim fits and transition to more classic looks. You were ahead of the curve on this two years ago. Anecdotally, I lived in korea for seven years up until 2018. I had a suit/pants made there at a very fashionable tailor. My style consultant was very much pushing me towards higher rise, pleats, etc. I sort of med him in the middle with mid rise and single pleats. But looking back, I notice that Korean/japanese men are always several years ahead of us on style.
@@Stan_sprinkleyou are right Korea and Japan are definitely ahead of us. Here in the states we are simply behind in fashion in general. Thanks for the compliments and thanks for watching. Where did you get yours? They are still not easiest to get.
Glad to have you back!
Glad to be back and truly appreciate the support!
Glad I found your channel! One fashionable father to another 😎
Welcome to it my friend! Fashionable Fathers unite!!
i am a simple man. i see new fashionable father content. i press like
Simple and loyal, thank you kind sir!
Loved the wife's reaction. Very cute relationship. Very nice video, nothing pretentious.
Thank you for watching and enjoying!
I'm digging it. I've noticed the high rise trousers, didn't think it was for me, but now I want some, thanks Fashionable Father
Thanks, was in the same boat. Gonna miss the trim fit sixties-esque era. But this high waisted forties look is fine with me
I discovered high waisted pants two years ago and began the transition with an Italian brand called Pini Parma. Now I’m 5 pair plus two sport coats and numerous shirts in. If you haven’t checked them out, I highly recommend them.
Nice! I’ll take a look for sure. Also thanks for watching!
That first knitted polo and highlighting the sansabelt looks legit my friend. Of course the Gary Grant inspiration is awesome as well. Looking forward to the Volvo showcase. I like how they are different than most vehicles on the market.
I’ve had that first polo for so long; love it! I had to give Mr Grant credit for sure. The volvo is a v50 and I’m lovin it too; wagon style all day. Always appreciate your support.
Like always… Another great video!
You just made me but a pair.
Congratulations on the new car!!
Thank you! Seriously you got yourself a pair? Yeah love me a wagon. I’ll make a vid.
Love these pants. You look best with your shirt tucked into them because they're so stylish, you really want to see the full rise. At least that's how I wear them - I tuck everything in including sweaters.
Thank you! Tucked in is the best, agreed. Did you get yours from Natalino?
I’m 22 and just thrifted some pleats myself! Hopefully I can look as sharp as you my friend. Much love for the inspiration. Take care youngin❤️
Thank you and you shall look sharp. If need be take the to a quality tailor. The money you saved on thrifting can go towards the tailor.
Thank you 🙏 👍
You are welcome!
About to start making my own, with a long torso this is the best fit and most elegant natural line, struggling with low hanging waists for too long that regardless of a belt always feel like they are slipping down
Make your own?! Impressive. Have you made your own clothes in the past?
Those pants are meant for you. They look great. I really like the tucked in look. But I really like all the looks. My favorite is the navy blue polo tucked in.
The blue polo is my fav right now too.
Making vintage modern, right up my street! Obsessed with those high waisted trousers!
Right! Vintage but modern; great minds…Do you have a pair of high rise?
You know I'm a sucker for high rise and the vintage modern marriage, so this is right up my alley! Absolutely fire outfits, my friend...you especially rocked Cary Grant's best outfit perfectly.
Gold. Just gold.
Thank you!! You know you’ve been a part of the inspiration and the compliments are beyond appreciated. Gotta love our stylish gent, Mr Grant. DL in the comments?! Truly flattered.
I have been wearing Lands End long rise trousers with pleats and cuffs for many years. I am also wearing pleated Orvis chinos, which have a high rise. High rise just fit me better.
You’re ahead of a trend
@@FashionableFather considering the fact that the most elegant men in the golden era of cinema in the 30's, 40's and 50's wore high rise and pleated trousers we are all playing "catch up" to their style examples.
Definitely an awesome pair of trousers no doubt, really enjoyed the similarity to Cary Grant, and I'm all in with high-rise trousers...where did you find that fantastic-looking scarf excellent video!
Thank you! The scarf looked better on camera not great in person. Truly inspiring comment. Can’t go wrong with classic fashion.
This is a fabulous chanel, I can only hope you get more and more subscribers...
Such an inspiring comment. I shall continue the journey and hope others will follow.
Dig the vintage+modern aesthetic! 👏🏼 I’ve been eyeing that A&F polo for a hot minute, you’ve definitely sold it well. Gonna give it a shot!
Abercrombie is killin it right now. Thanks for watching, enjoying and complimenting the aesthetic!
You took some really nice pants, paired them with some great shirts and pulled off a really awesome look. Thanks for sharing. Oh, nice Volvo too!
Thank you! Volvo was a fun recent buy. I’ll have to showcase it soon.
Would a tall person be able to pull off high waist trousers? I read somewhere that they make your legs longer
Yes! I do think balance is key and also personal preference. Your legs are long but so is your upper torso; if you do have more leg then less rise on the pant. Second if you don’t like the look; ignore the trend and do what you love.
Pretty sure you are the most fashionable father at MV! 🙌
Hahahaha, thank you. Maybe I’ll inspire and elevate MV.
@@FashionableFather For sure- Especially if you join the PTA!
Perfect reason to join. Helping my child’s education is of course priority, lol
Referring to Cary Grant was enough as far as elegance is concerned.
Mr. Grant inspo can change a man’s path.
Do you know about Scott Fraser menswear? You would be obsessed!
Just got a pair! But it’s an interesting journey, video dropping soon.
And yes obsessed
Where is the blue polo from? I love that look
I got it at Abercrombie and Fitch?! Can you believe it? They had a slew of cool knitted polos this summer. Shamefully last I was told they were sold out.
@@FashionableFather wow! Would never have guessed that. Not a company I thought really thought about in 20 years or so
Yeah me too.
I prefer high waisted loose cut trousers.
Same. Imo most comfortable type of pants and can contribute to a really nice silhouette
I can't stand low cut pants. They make your torso look disproportionately longer than your legs, making you look "stumpy". While I don't think the answer is high waisted pants, I think the happy medium is a mid-rise pant
There’s a cool shift in men’s pants right now and I think the options that will come from it will be nice.
11" doesn't seem to be a high rise. i would consider 12" and above to be high. its difficult to find that though. in my grandfather's time pants were regularly 13 or even up to 15 inches.
15?! Whoa?! Yeah 11 feels high waisted to me, but I know I’m playing it safe. Thanks for watching.
Trousers too short! High water pants! Bad style.
