"There's only so much that you can do with the boards." This is a true statement. However, the board could always have a different configuration and starting zones for each board and layout. They can vary those 2 items easily. The new stylistic rendition is one thing if they wanted to try it out, but they should have made 2 different boards instead of the same board twice. Also, they could've had Grandma's house with 2 doors that you can use to get it in. Maybe putting the house in one of the corners and going from there.

Absolutely hilarious matchup. One of my favorites mechanically, but it's too funny imagining Beowulf running up on some little kid going to her grandma's house and just kicking the shit out of her.

While I personally cannot say whether this solution is effective for people being affected by (the very different and often nuanced kinds of) color blindness. But I wanted to clear up the confusion about the board. Also I guess this may increase the acceptance of the alternative board side for those of us who enjoy the full spectrum of colors.
*CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS, PLEASE???* Will the cards from this set fit back into the insert of the box once they've been sleeved? This has been the case for every single set released thus far, (including the base game core set), *EXCEPT* for the Ingen vs. Raptors expansion. I have no idea why they did this, but I find it hugely inconvenient / annoying that they did. I like to protect my investments, and I would like to know if they committed the same "faux pas" for this set before I purchase it. Thank you!

They might do Disney versions eventually. They did announce marvel sets for this year, so this game is definitely on thier radar. Maybe im being overly optimistic. I too would love a gargoyles set.
Maybe they do an unsung hero type of superhero list. Some characters that don't get a lot of. Love. Character is like a blade or gambit. Maybe even spawn.
@@Psydekick00 a semi did what I was hoping for. They stayed within marvel but they actually did a lot of characters that don't get a lot of play in my opinion. Luke Cage is definitely cool.

Yes. It is the hall the Beowulf saves in his story. A troll brakes down the door every night and kills people. Beowulf comes and beheads the troll. That’s why there are barrels of ale. The Norse loved partying up
I had the same question when I saw these characters in regards that could have been in battle of legends volume 2. Not thrilled about that second map either, I’d have preferred a separate board like Bigfoot, but it’s not worse than Jurassic Park so that’s ok. Glad the characters felt fun. Can’t wait to try them. Thanks for the review.
I helped playtest this one and really enjoyed it! Seeing the artwork/final product is definitely exciting. My only negative (which you mention) is that Red is a little trickier to play and get the timing elements to work, so she is probably the first character I'd have hesitation handing to a brand new player
I agree on all counts. I've been waiting for this since playtesting it. Can't wait for mine to arrive. Also, I'm caught up on my painting, so I can put it right on the paint table when it arrives.

You should definitely get cobble and fog. I know it isn’t on your list but it is the best unmatched set ever!!! (In my opinion)
Definitely prefer the old board as well. Glad to see the characters are getting more advanced. They aren't just the new skins on the same mechanics.

Ultra Pro Deck boxes work great if you really need to save the space, otherwise, the boxes inserts are really well design IMO!
I prefer the colored spaces side.

My only gripe with these games is the ugly as sin circles on the board...this game deserves better
Neat characters but I don't like these 2 piece sets at all. Lacks value and takes up shelf space.
That's a good point. I still went with a 2 hero set to dip my toe in. And now I'm about to go all-in!
