I was also trapped by the devil of these familiar spirits from my childhood. My mom grew up going to Assembles of God,she accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of 9 years, she had a gift of preaching and praying for people and they repent and get healed. but later was trapped by devil, she was involved in a car accident in 1996 and she was told that this happened because her ancestors were angry, she insulted them by calling them demons. She was then refered to a witch doctor, and she attended his church till she had a vision of that witch doctor saying, if she assists his brother he will kill her. I remember when we used to go to that Zion church( where they mix God with ancestors), sometimes witch doctor will tell my mom not to enter she must go back and come back some other time. I think it's because she is a prayer warrior. She then later in 2002 was initiated as Sangoma, but everything went wrong, she has not practiced it till now, but she keeps on buying their clothes. Whenever she tries to burn an incense or pray using candles more demons will come into our house. We used to consult more than what we supposed to instead of praying to God, thinking it's the right thing to do. Sangomas used to tell us that we all at home have a gift of being witch doctors and prophet, and we believed it because all of us we see visions and have prophetic gifts not knowing it's from Satan. From my childhood till December I was trapped in this but I thank God for opening my eyes, Jesus took me into the water and showed me hidden evil things that are done underwater. I was also told told to burn my trousers, fake hair, accessories, makeup, traditional clothes and all those clothes that belongs to evil spirits, different garments thinking its for our ancestors, as all these things are made by marine spirits. I remember when I was so deep into consultation/mediums, I used to see Jesus in a vision while closing my eyes; I used to see him on the throne wearing white garment with Gold belt and gold crown, see him carrying a silver cross, see him teaching his disciples in church, wearing different colour of garments (red, blue, white, Gold), sitting on the throne on the right hand side of God, see warriors killing Satan and him carrying our burdens with white hug bags and quicky take them to the mountain, I see God wearing red garment coming by my side, I see myself going to heaven where there is a white house with big glasses, clean lake, green pastures, I see myself sitting on the same level as the blue sky, God talking to me, there's a lot. But I still wonder why God/Jesus never warned me about these spirits before. I even wished to take this calling of being a Sangoma, but God didn't allow it and whenever we go for consultation as a family we will get lost even if we know the place. I am a graduate social worker for more than 7 years, I never got permanent employment, they were always telling me that my ancestors don't want me to work for someone, I should become a Sangoma or prophet. I was even given things to use for employment but they never worked. But i thank God for revealing everything to me I am saves by the blood of Yeshua. I have never felt any peace or joy in my life I thank you Almighty God for saving my life, he deserves all the praises and glory amen.🙏

I was born in a Zulu traditional family, thats all i khow but that dosent mean i should talk bad about any religion because i khow very well that there are people who believe in it. Some its working for em some its not. So im open minded that why ngingeke ngithwase ngephutha coz i understand spirituality and i wont be mislead by abefundsi bamanga coz i took my time and studied religion and what it entails and why people find comfort in it
