When I listen to huntress, i imagine a reincarnation of Finn and Jake meeting huntress wizard for the first time again hundreds of years later, and her just knowing that the people she just met are of a good kind nature, to the extent that it gives her nostalgia of the original aura Finn and Jake had.
(One) New Message: Brave Girl made me tear up. I was listening to it and thought "What a nice, cute song" but didn't quite get why there was a beeping sound, then read the title and just- I'm in shambles and I love this music.
Thank you. With these 'Ambient Time' albums, I try, where possible, to make it passively enjoyable for everyone, but with added layers of symbolism or meaning, for those in the know. The track you mention is one such example. The storyline centred around Marcy's mother, explored in 'Distant Lands: Obsidian', was for me, one of the most powerful moments in all of Adventure Time. I found it incredibly moving, and so wanted to pay homage to that on this album.
LET'S GOOOO! This channel is pumping out so many amazing Adventure time Ambiences! I'm so greatful for this channel, thank you for creating these. Listening to these tracks while out exploring the world or working on projects really puts me in such a raised state of mind. It's nice to return to this place every now and then, really brings out the best in me.
Thank you. That's very kind of you to say so, and lovely to hear. I'll be the first to admit that the whole ambient music thing crept up on me. It's a big departure from what I usually do, but it was like someone opened a flood gate and once I started making it, I could stop. 😄
Litteraly couldn't agree more. I'm in high school, and it's all too easy to feel too much like an adult. Sometimes stuff like this is a nice reminder that I'm still a kid, so there's no rush. I can enjoy today, and there's no need to push anything.
Hey I'm probably responsible for half of the views on this vid and all of your others, this is such amazing work and you deserve so much more recognition than you get view-wise. I listen to these ambient albums almost all day at work and they are so soothing and relaxing and catalyze so much productivity. Please keep making them!!!!! Hard work pays off!!!!!!
Just discovered this and had it the background. Didn't pay attention until "Your fist has touched my heart" major Duster vibes and I love it. Hope you continue to grow as a channel!
Commenting before I even listen, I know it's going to be incredible. "I Feel Like It's Me, I Hope That's Enough" Is going to make me cry I already know it. Keep up the amazing work
I've been listening to these Ambient Time tracks while I write early in the morning when my office is empty. Not only do they make me feel fewer heebie-jeebies about the empty office, they get me so in the zone! I am such a huge Adventure Time fan, and these tracks are so great in helping me keep that adventurous, childlike energy alive in my soul. Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing the fruits of your creativity!
Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad my music helps you with your work. Also, I'm adding "Official Heebie-Jeebie Remover" to my CV 😁. Never had anyone describe my music like that before. I love it! 👍🏼👍🏼
Yet another fine addition to my study music collection....📚🖋 Tier 5: Fifteen Feet: How gorgeously sweet. I like the gentle bells in the background, they sound almost wedding-like along with that organ keyboard too (particularly at the beginning). Makes sense considering how much Lady loves Jake. Very "lovey dovey." Hot to the Touch: Well isn't this cosy? Quiet companionship under the stars with a burning fire. -Do I sense romance burning here too....?- Also am I going dotty or do I hear sections of "All Warmed Up Inside" because if so, that's perfect. Your Fist Has Touched My Heart: Reading that title brought back good memories of me and my sister laughing for a week straight over this episode's ending. This music would fit right in with that scene when Fiona and Gumball briefly lay in the grass after this song ends. How nice. -Pity the date wasn't legit- Huntress: Those flutes are so wonderfully mystical. Really captures that "wilderness calls" feeling. I also like this section around 18:29-19:16, gives a softer side to an already great piece and character. (Sounds a little like the Moon Lady track...) I Feel Like It's Me, I Hope That's Enough: Cheery but perhaps with a feeling of sadness behind it too. Like we're reconciling with a lost family member or friend and wondering what life could've been. But maybe that doesn't matter, what does is what we do now.... Betty's Wish: Ah yes, *this* is the part where my soul gets an emotional sucker-punch. The strange void-like static is perfect for the stillness of Betty alone inside Golb. This section from 27:00-29:40 really pains me. This is going to sound odd but the synth keyboard in the background are like the opposite of the organ keyboard notes in Tier 5, that one was a blooming relationship, this is a doomed one that can sadly never be. I can imagine Betty imagining the happy, married life that could've been, but the wedding that never was.... Another detail I like is the pauses along with the piano slowly becoming more prominent between (Oh my, I wonder who that could represent.) You can almost feel the thinking process of her decision along with what and who she values, even more than the universe itself. 29:40 Betty comes to peace with her choice, wishing Simon to live his best life, even if she can't be a part of it anymore..... (One) New Message: Brave Girl: Emotional sucker-punch 2: Electric boogaloo. I could feel the dread of that beginning and the hesitation to hear the message recording. I like the uneasy reassurance the section at 32:32-35:21 along with that _tiny_ spark of hope at that part at 34:14 that everything will be Ok... You really caught me off guard with that Everything Stays bit at the end, that was just.....amazing. I nee-, no, *demand* a full version. -Ok, maybe you don't have to...- Bonnibel's Resolve: Another "heavy decisions were made" track. But unlike before, maybe we don't have to be alone. Sometimes it's good to have help from a friend.... (Also this is going to sound a bit stupid but that little part at 37:46-37:51 and 37:57-38:00. Is that....Pure Imagination?! That's probably a coincidence but if that's intentional then that's both clever and hilarious) And so we come to an end to another brilliant album. Once again I cannot stress the amount of care and love each of these have. (I'm starting to notice a pattern of mixed ambience album, character-focused album, repeat haha) As much as I adore these, please, please don't feel pressured to make as much as humanly possible and burn yourself out. Take as much time as you need, these are all masterpieces. Well done!👍🏻 (That said....out of curiosity, will our hero homies be getting an album maybe......?🤔) Edit: Whoops forget to mention favourites! Huntress, Betty's Wish and (One) New Message: Brave Girl. Beautiful and emotional the lot of them.
Wow! Another awesomely detailed and very humbling write up. I'm glad you enjoyed this album. It's reassuring to know the emotional highs are hitting right with listeners. It's one thing to have an idea, it's another to execute it in such a way that it works. I'm pleased this resonated with you in the way it did. On the last track, no that's not a Pure Imagination reference, although now you mention it, I hear what you mean. Both my piece and Pure Imagination are using major-7 chords and topping it off with a melody that plays around the 7 and 1 of the major scale, so yeah, there's a definite similarity there, come to think of it. As for a follow up album. I have one more planned for release in November, but nothing beyond that (as far as Ambient Time goes). I considered doing an album entirely centred around F&J, but they're so zany and whacky in their day-to-day shenanigans, I struggled to find the right ambient angle to take with it. That said, the final track of the fifth (and probably final) Ambient Time album is an ode to F&J and I hope will cap off the 5-album series in style. It's somewhat an Ambient Time Magnum Opus. An ending of "soul transmigration", "these two are a package deal", "because it's great being alive with you" sort of proportions. Something to remind us that everything happened, is happening and will happen, and that the fun will never end (at least I hope that the piece of music comes across that way) 😊
@@opusscience Oh man, it wasn't a reference? Oh well either way, it was still an amusing coincidence!😆 A Finn and Jake album to cap off this ambient emotional rollercoaster makes way too much sense.... (Not even the first teaser and my heartstrings are already attacked.) A highlight of the best moments of our wholesome bros.... I admit I've brought up Pokèmon: Mystery Dungeon a few times listening to these and feel like I tend to compare them too much...😅 I was biting back writing "Hey those, flutes in Huntress remind me of the beginning of Sheer Mountain Range in blah blah game." Not these things fault, that's a me thing. (Though maybe I also shouldn't be surprised since adventuring and exploration etc is a key part of the fun in both PMD and AT.) I didn't write this before but just to say that these have lately been....inspiring me....? Per say? As in while revisiting/watching some AT clips/episodes while swamped in Uni work, I've been thinking "Huh, this location could have some ambience potential.." or "This motif could be used for some study music..." I'm no music expert of course, I'll leave that to people who actually know what they're doing....😅 But it's been some neat ideas, at least in my head. I'll stick to drawing instead....
@@absolite6 The next album isn't entirely F&J orientated, just the final piece, to cap off the whole 5-album project. Not to give too much away, but the rest is more environmental (although you could argue that some of those environments are F&J orientated, or we only experience those environments through F&J, so it's still related in a way, just not explicit). I've never actually played Pokemon , so am not overly familiar with its music, so I'll take your word on that one 😉. But I guess, stylistically speaking, there are certain tropes and tonalities that are pretty universal, so you'll always find things referential, even if they're unintended. I do it all the time. I hear things and think "ah, that's like...", but that's not to say the composer referenced it intentionally. I'm glad to hear you've felt inspired by music, and welcome to my world 😆. Some of it ended up on the cutting room floor, and I'm in no rush to find MORE things to make Ambient Time works about. You can have too much of a good thing and I think I'm pushing it with a 5th album, so would rather end the project on a high than have it tail off in terms of quality 😊 . It would be cool to see some of your drawing, though. Do you have a Deviantart or something similar?
@@opusscience I'm afraid I do not, I don't really post my art anywhere. I mostly draw on paper (so old fashioned) and keep digital drawings in folders. It's just a hobby, I'm definitely not a professional...😆😅 Just for fun. (Even this doodle I call my profile pic is in desperate need of updating)
Just commented on your other adventure time album, Ive only seen a few episodes of the show but as I read your comments I'm really impressed with the music you're creating and the positive impact on the world you're having. I was really stressed about things before I heard your music and now I'm feeling sentimental and laughing about how grateful I am to be here right now. Cheers man.
This album destroyed me. I'm listening to it, yea? I'm doing my work, chilling. Ooh this is pretty good! I think to myself. And then (One) New Message: Brave Girl comes along and Everything Stays hits me like a monster truck. I fucking stopped everything I was doing and started sobbing, jaws wide open, staring at the album cover. I don't usually write comments this long but oh my glob I am in love with this album already, makes me so emotional. Thank you for making this 💪
Wow! Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏼😊. I'm glad it resonates with you. I think Marcy is so rad! From her zany introduction through to her history with Simon, then Bonnie, then how her character evolved through Stakes and the heartbreaking history of her Mother's demise as shown in Obsidian, she's just such an awesome character. So inspiring. I really wanted to attempt to give her some sort of tribute and do her some sort of justice, in my own way.
Thank you. Glad you like it. I'm afraid I don't really know what to suggest. Melodically and harmonically, it's directly taken from "All Gummed Up/Warmed Up Inside" from the show. But in terms of the texture, ambience, and sound design, I was just going with what felt right and not directly looking to any particular thing for inspiration. It might be a long shot, and it'll feel a lot darker in places than my stuff, but if its the mood and texture you're after, maybe give Tom Waits stuff from the early 2000s a try. Albums like "Alice", "Blood Money" and perhaps his the later (3-CD) album "Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards". CD's 2 and 3 (Bawlers & Bastards) might have things that feel tonally similar and you might enjoy them. But like I said, be prepared for a bit of a ride. Waits is a master of crafting texture and mood, but it gets very dark and surreal at times. It's arguably not for the faint hearted and can be an acquired taste (I love all of his stuff though; he's an enormous inspiration on what I do).
@@opusscience ohswet, thanks for the suggestion, i'll see about checking them out! and i didn't actually pick up on the hints of all gummed/warmed up inside, but now that you say it it clicks xD that is how some of the best things are created, sometimes it's best to just let the brush do most of the painting, ya' know? 8) (and in this case it turned out amazingly, i love this album, tysm for creating this, it's wonderful)
Wow, I thought I found the newest one today, turns out I have two full Ambient Times to listen to. Thank you so much for making such beautiful work based on everyone’s favorite show. You’re amazing.
Thank you. It's nice to know that this music that I made is enjoyable for people not as familiar with Adventure Time. This is one of a five-album series that I made a while ago. You can hear the others here, in this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLpfsLKFSNqZJSd9F7qGR27-92LNdTjZ88
It's a tad abstract, but whilst the song 'Time Adventure' from the show's finale relates to all of Adventure Time in ways, I thought it resonated with Marcy & Bonnie's 1000 year on/off relationship especially. Therefore, I wanted to make something that started in a dark, sad place, like Bonnie and Marcy apart, but that ended in a light place, to reflect them putting their pasts behind them and getting together at long last, and I used the "Will happen, happening, happened" motif to hammer home the sentiment. 👍🏼
Thank you for your kinds words. In terms of your question, do you mean that you're not familiar with Adventure Time and wondering if my Ambient Time albums are a good gateway into the show...? If so, I'm not sure if they are. I think without knowing about Adventure Time, these albums will just seem like a selection of ambient works. Enjoyable, but nothing to shout about. I crafted and designed these albums to try and capture particular characteristics from certain environment and/or story arcs and/or characters from the show. The stories, world building and lore of Adventure Time is wild! It's so rich and diverse, I was able to tap into it and channel my own creativity through an Adventure Time filter of sorts. I think if you've watched the show, you'll find many moods, aesthetics and little musical easter eggs that will remind you of many moments from the show. As the show has finished, I kind of made these albums as a cathartic project that helped me stay in the world of Adventure Time a little longer, as I missed it. I imagined that listeners were likely to have a similar mind-set to what I had when making it (nostalgia and a little melancholy for the ending of the show, but also optimistic and hopeful, because of the experiences and life lessons the show imparts). From the majority of the feedback I've had, this is the case. So, by all means listen to these albums, but I highly recommend bingeing through all of Adventure Time, and once you're done picking yourself up from the floor of the emotional rollercoaster it'll send you on, come back and listen to my Ambient Time albums, for a more informed and hopefully more emotionally engaging experience. Sorry, that was a really long answer 😆
@@opusscience Oh man, that's awesome! As a huuuuge fan of Adventure Time, it makes me so glad seeing people getting inspired by this amazing show. And you can say that again! I feel like a kid again, after listening to this. It is truly beautiful. I miss this show more than anything else! All I want is to be able to rewatch it again... I have a feeling that even if I watch this show a thousand times, I'd never get tired of it! Thank you.
Haha! Well, the five Ambient Time albums have a total runtime of well over 3 hours, so I guess that's a 3rd of the way there... 😊 I plan on making more ambient music in the future though, so hopefully I've get to ten hours worth eventually 😆

@@absolite6 Haha! Fair enough.
Cheers man.
Thank you for your kind words. That's very nice of you to say so. I'm glad that my music brings you positivity 😊🙏🏼
You did a fantastic job presenting her! I love marcy shes my everything 🫶 🫶
Thank you so much for keeping the adventure on, this (and all the other parts) is beutiful. Again, thank you so much.
Thank you. Glad you like it 😊
if only i knew what to search to find more music like "hot to the touch" i absolutely love it
@@opusscience ohswet, thanks for the suggestion, i'll see about checking them out!
and i didn't actually pick up on the hints of all gummed/warmed up inside, but now that you say it it clicks xD
that is how some of the best things are created, sometimes it's best to just let the brush do most of the painting, ya' know? 8)
(and in this case it turned out amazingly, i love this album, tysm for creating this, it's wonderful)
@@NeonRahkshiYou're most welcome. Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏼😊

@@opusscience Awesome, glad to hear it :)
I'm not a reallty fan of adventure time. I found this album accidentally and, man, it's beautiful. Waiting for others playlist c:

The Betty's wish stabbed me fr
🥲
I just found out what the word Heroines mean and I can't describe my feeling right now
Can you release the singles??? I love Betty's Wish so much and i want to add it to a lot of my playlists, but I don't want the full 40 minute video.
It's a work in progress... But yeah, they will be up on RUclips before too long.

What part is Bonnibel's Resolve inspired by?
It's a tad abstract, but whilst the song 'Time Adventure' from the show's finale relates to all of Adventure Time in ways, I thought it resonated with Marcy & Bonnie's 1000 year on/off relationship especially. Therefore, I wanted to make something that started in a dark, sad place, like Bonnie and Marcy apart, but that ended in a light place, to reflect them putting their pasts behind them and getting together at long last, and I used the "Will happen, happening, happened" motif to hammer home the sentiment. 👍🏼
Can this be used for shifting to Adventure Time? By the way I love this ambient music that you make :))
Thank you.
@@Glascheit 😊
need 10 hour one
Haha! Well, the five Ambient Time albums have a total runtime of well over 3 hours, so I guess that's a 3rd of the way there... 😊
I plan on making more ambient music in the future though, so hopefully I've get to ten hours worth eventually 😆
I'm going to make a show and the end part of Brave Girl is going to be the theme song I swear it

Is this on ITunes?
It's on Apple Music to stream: music.apple.com/us/artist/osc/118305529. It's also on Spotify, in case you're a Spotify user: open.spotify.com/artist/2qBrIR0SrDbH4CQhVUFvvN?si=T8G56MLNQVGBX6UHbJGhBg
It's not available on the iTunes store (as it's actually a freebie), so if you want to download this (for free), you can do so over on BandCamp: opussciencecollective.bandcamp.com/album/ambient-time-heroines-homies. Just throw a zero into the price box 😉👍🏼
