Hi Guys! If you enjoyed Episode 1, we're up to Episode 9 and still going. We turned the music volume down for future episodes in case it was too loud for you. Feel free to catch up on the episodes here: ruclips.net/channel/UCenxvjab0M2AGTw7g-78zegvideos
Glad to run onto your site nice change from the news,we have. A 3year old boy and haven't camped since .love seeing your family out there having fun.great video, thank you
Hi Casey. Thanks for this. Hopefully you can get out camping again soon. I noticed you're on episode 1. We're up to about episode 13 now, so a few more left to distract you from the news for a while :-)
You are amazing! Loved watching you and your family on your road trip. I live in Canada (near Niagara Falls) but my daughter lives in Canberra. I will get there some day and will certainly take a road trip albeit not quite as long as yours, but then again maybe I will. I have shared your Facebook page with my daughter so she and her family can follow along as well!
Thanks so uch Lynn! We've only been to Canada once, manly to Montreal. Would love to go back there. A road trip over there would b epic too! Hopefully international travel gets easier soon and you can get to Australia.
First time viewer.... Really enjoyed your video and look forward to watching more Also good to see that hubby Danny isn't a boofhead about you (the little missus) driving Eb, unlike quite a lot of other channels ... Crikey..!!! haha
Hi Wandaful ofit, thanks for watching along. We're up to episode 6 now, so there's more to watch if you're interested. Love your comment re the driving. Yeah it seems pretty crazy to us that women and men both drive, but in some people's eyes, women lose their driving ability once we start towing something? Ridiculous! Anyway, glad you're enjoying it. Hope to chat to you more in the comments in future :-)
Loved it guys! What a great first episode. I was wondering if you would do the Nullarbor links. Way more patience than us! Keep the episodes coming for sure. Loved the towing tips and your singing 🥰 Same music taste as us by the looks of it.
Thanks Rob! Glad you like the towing tips. Will try to add some more tips in future episodes. We can't help but sing in the car, glad you have the same taste in music. We'll add some good Aussie band songs in future episodes. Am sure we'll catch up with you guys again down the track too.
Absolutely loved your video, you're all so likeable with enjoyable content and entertaining footage. I know it's a huge job to keep doing consistently but I you do as you seem to be in a select group that are very watchable and down to earth.
Wow Frank, your comment is very humbling! What a kind thing to write. Really appreciate that you took the time to tell us this. We are doing an episode 2, which will be live on Wednesday night. It would be great to get your feedback on that one. It's a lot of work, but we're enjoying doing them so far, so we'll see how we go. Cheers mate.
Well done guys! I enjoyed discovering parts of Australia that I never knew existed. The golf is a great break from the endless straights of the highway!
Definitely keep doing them, often wondered why you hadn’t earlier. At least you have had a whole year without any pressure to put together content . Now you are able to see how it fits into your life on the road, look forward to future episodes and lots more tips before we start out travels in October. Congratulations on Ep 1.
thanks so much Karen. Yes, it was good having the year to not put content together. It's fun to do, but it is a lot of work! Appreciate the feedback :-)
Absolutely appreciate the tip about the towing course! My hubby is a pro at towing and I am not, I had considered doing a course myself but now we will both do one so we have the same base knowledge!
You're welcome. Sounds like a plan. It has helped us, and then along the way we've learnt things that we've taught each other. Sometimes though we've also agreed to disagree. It also helped to find a big car park or oval near our house before we left - we went there a few times and practiced some moves (like reversing in a straight line, and reversing into a spot). That helped build our confidence. Good luck and enjoy it!
Thanks for sharing your travels. Great to see your family enjoying themselves and a bit of life behind the scenes from all the great photos. Looking forward to following.
Hi Danny & Eb! I l love this. I am seeing parts of Australia I never knew existed plus I never knew there was a windmill museum anywhere in the world. Safe travels!
Great video. Love the singing while driving. Looking forward to seeing more of your trip. I like how you show us the locations where you stayed and give a brief description which is great. Looks like you are having a great time visiting our great country. Enjoy.
Hi Ray. Thank you for this great feedback! We're glad you like the singing, we love a good sing along in the car. Aren't we lucky to live in this ridiculously amazing country?! Appreciate the comment and hope you like ep 2 which will be airing this Wednesday.
Hey lovelies new sub and Aussie. Hope to meet you on the road sometime. We camped a lot as kids on the nullabour. No fancy vans back then though it was real camping. Dad instilled the love of camping on me thanks for sharing
Hi guys. We'd love to meet you on the road. If you see us around, make sure you come say hi. That's so cool that you got the bug for camping at a young age. We only just started vanning for this trip. It's so awesome!
Welcome to WA. Hope you have a truly wonderful time here. We love the Nullabor. Always found something different to see each time we've done it. (We 'sell' the real estate, listen to audio books, podcasts and sing our hearts out!) Great video. Really nice balance of scenery, points of interest to see as well as personal stuff. (Just one comment, if I may, for future videos. The audio level on you talking is very low compared to the music you've added. Perhaps when you add the music, do it at a slightly quieter level. We had the volume up fairly loudly to hear your commentary, so got fairly blasted when some of the music clips came along.) Love the chance to see how you hang your shoes (we've been battling with this issue for some time now). Does it affect the breeze coming in? How did you attach the shoe holder? Cheers.
Hiya! Thank you for watching and for this wonderful feedback. Really appreciate your honesty re the audio - we've had a few comments re that and we've tried to turn the music bits down in episode 2 (it will be out Wednesday night and we're super excited for you to watch it!). Please let us know what you think about the volume in ep 2 so we can adjust if needed. The shoe holder is just held on the same way that it would be at home, but we have some wire down the bottom through the fly screen to keep it attached there too. It does reduce the breeze a fair bit, but we love it. Thanks again for the comment, appreciate it.
Hiya Scottme1. Thanks for that mate. We are up to episode 8 airing tomorrow night, so there are a few on our channel for you to watch if you're interested. The sound of the music was too loud in episode 1 so we think we've fixed that from episode 2. Feel free to let us know what you think of the sound in future episodes.
I have been following trip in a van from the start, and others. I have watched the children grow up. The things they do. I write to them. Like tickle a crab tummy to put it to sleep. Or dry wave the hair using the car exhaust for a laugh. So I am looking forwards. I am saving for a dmax and been doing up a old caravan. To hit the road in a year and half. My partner Carolyn going to fly to meet me. I am retired now. Russell and Carolyn
That's awesome Rusty. We have got some feedback that people would like the kids involved a bit more, so will try to do that in future vids. TIAV kids are lovely kids. Ours played with them for a couple of weeks about a year ago in QLD when we were at the same camp. We'd love to do an old van up, that sounds very rewarding. Living on the road is bloody amazing, that's great that you and Carolyn will be doing it :-)
Hi Guys. Just watched your first Video. Very enjoyable. Just a Question: Did you ever have to change Tyre Pressure across the Nullarbor and where is your Spare full size Tyre for the Car?
Hi sorry for such a late reply! We don't think we had to change tyre pressure across the Nullarbor, it is a sealed road. We keep the spare tyre in the boot under the floor of the boot.
Hi Guys, Really enjoyed your video so far. We have a Grand Cherokee (2015) and recently purchased 2017 Jayco Journey 17.55-8 Outback ready for some adventure. Going through the set up process and noticed you have what looks like a monitor over your rearview mirror. Would this be for your caravan camera? If so can you advise what brand etc and if you are happy with the function. Look forward to your future videos, stay safe! Kind Regards Sue & Steve Niejalke
Hi Rocket. Sorry for the late reply! yes, that is our caravan camera (which we love and makes highway driving much easier seeing trucks approaching from behind). The brand is Sphere.
Really Great, first video and I will subscribe if you can get your sound balance correct. To hear you speak, we have to turn the volume up, then you break into music and it blasts our eardrums to bits.
Thanks for the feedback Cerami. Great to have you following along with us. We got similar feedback from a few people. We think we fixed it in episode 2. Do you mind watching that one and letting us know what you think? Pretty sure sound is good in that now. ruclips.net/video/iHdOb7yt_v4/видео.html
@@onthewaughpath6552 thank you! I thought it may have been, but it just looked really different to the one I have, so thought it was some fancy new gadget 😂

Ah, the good ol' days when $1.90L for fuel was considered expensive :D
ha! That's right. The most expensive we had seen back then when we did this video was $2 a litre at kings canyon. That would be a good price now!

Agree that the actual road, is just a road...a long and boring road! Some cool things to see along the way though.
