So I'm coming from the Boss WL-20 thats transmitter to receiver dongles. I paid about $250 for it to disconnect all the time. I bought this unit today. I work at a guitar shop so I got a steep discount. This thing is the coolest kid in school. I didn't notice latency, and NO MORE DROPOUTS! The signal quality is pristine. I'm very happy with this unit.
Not available yet in the UK, they never are, NUX still don't seem to want sales in Europe. Harley Benton do a similar one for £85 without comparing them i have no idea how good they are. For home use i find the cheaper 5.8ghz ones work well enough for me. Hope you hae a great Chrstmas and New Year Tony.
Probably until the next one is due out. I have given up on NUX gear, it is not worth the hassle trying to find a supplier that has any instock.@@guyfawkes8873
Looks like a great unit. I just purchased the Sure “pedal board” wireless system which is similar, but I like how the NUX has a color display. My question with these pedal board receivers is since you’re still running cable through other pedals and back to the amp, should I still use my buffer on my pedal board ?
That clip seems to be the weak point of the product. Looks really good otherwise, a lot of nice features. Great review Tony. Just looked at the price, $319? Not budget friendly for me.
I've had it for two months and it fails continuously, it doesn't matter if it's at half a meter or thirty meters. I've already had 3 concerts with RF failures, I'm going to have to return it if they don't find a solution for it. I have used the Line6 G30 for over 15 years and it has failed 3 times in that time. NUX b8 crashes 15 times every time I use it. I cannot recommend purchasing the unit.
I never knew there was so complicated.. good information thank you

Also, the reviews dont do justice to how bright the screen is for daytime playing.
how many channels have ? i mean if other persons of the same band have this Nux .
Thanks for the rundown Tony!
( it took 7 minutes to type that because of the RUclips keyboard bug) lol
How well would this work in festival stages / big venues?
I think they would do very well.
the distortion pedal would go in the fx loop or NUXB8 > OUTPUT > DISTORTION > AMPLIFIER
is it possible to have two transmitters for a backup guitar with the nux?
I’m not sure but swapping the same transmitter would be cheaper!
That's a different NUX product. I think they sell the micro plug wireless option with two transmitters and one receiver.

Thomann seems to have them on backorder

The wireless unit in itself is a buffer
If you’re running long cable to amp just make sure to have a buffer at the end of the chain before amp
I have one and I play with other musicians using 2.4 ghz gear. No dropouts.
Thanks Tony
does the transmiter charges while the receiver is disconected? so it charges while moving to the next gig ?
Yes

The clip is actually sturdier than it looks.
The signals drops are the weak points of this system
And now currently unavailable .
Not surprised. The unit is hot!
🤣 yes
Not worth it if you’re looking for a stable wireless system that doesn’t drop signals because this one drops a lot
$475.00 did you buy it or get it for free?
