Gambit is definitely coming back as one of the Four Horse Men of Apocalypse. This show gave me so much hope that all the classic shows are coming back with awesome writing and beautiful animation. I can’t wait for season 2.
That Cloak and Dagger cameo was the peak cameo all season for me. Also the Jubilee moment against Bastion is most likely a callback to season 1 episode 1 when her powers messed up the arcade electronics and Bastion is mostly electronic. Chef's kiss.
I appreciate y'all saying how the show was something that connected people. They need to give these writers and animators their flowers. Because this project could have gone wrong, and they kept the spirit of the comics and show.

Cable's time cube is housed in his techno arm and Bastion absorbed it. Bastion was able to use the time slide when he was fighting Rouge, it is the same power projection that shown when asteroid M vanished. Bastion sent the xmen to those time, he's not dead yet.
Throwback to the public sentiment on hiv aids. Rogue having a lethal std and gambit loving her without contact. Even the concept of two previously infected people getting physical. That’s a super 90s theme.
Loved this series as a whole. What an awesome ride for 10 weeks. So many hyped moments and great lines. My favorite episode was episode 5. It took the series to another level. Like, wow they really did that. They handled all these characters so well. Cyclops in particular was done right from the moment he first came on screen.

In a testament to the STELLAR writing and production of this series, none of the reactions from any reviewer, over this amazing 10-episode arc, have noticed one of the most amazing and subtle gems hidden in plain sight. The way they showcased them on screen and tied it into their character is genius-level writing. So my question to everyone is, "Did you see it? Did they see it?" 😁🤔
One theory I heard about who snatched them through time was Bastion. Remember he took Cables arm and merged it with him. Cables cube time computer is in his arm. 🤔🤔🤔 Also that old woman in the year 4000 is Scott & Jean's daughter! 😱 You guys & Rob from Comics Explained are the only people I want to hear from after each episode. 🙏

I have been waiting for you guys to do this for two days !!! Let’s go !! We need iceman and a retcon for the full magneto family tree !! We need the big three let’s go !!! Hopefully in mcu reboot and mutants now in the universe we can retcon the origin of future Wanda and pietro back to magneto w Polaris .
J3 im glad i found you guys! since the trailer drop i've been here every week and yall grew on me big time love the videos and energy and explanations for me since i didn't read comics which i should do now. Been a sick ride for season 1 and can't wait for season 2 but ill still keep up with you guys
I Enjoyed, the whole Season. A few little Hiccups…but overall it was Top notch. The whole, pacing of the whole season down to the Dialogue, the Music, the Drama, the Action paced Fights. It pulled you in with the many Views and ideas that every Character had. The Highly Flammable tone of the whole show kept you Glued to your 🪑….in anticipation for the next Episode and the future storylines that they have Waiting for Us. They’ve Definitely knocked it out the Park…with this one. The many Cameos and many storylines they can Create with those Characters. And, with the X-men, teaming up with other Superhero groups and not just dealing with Mutant issues but, dealing with the many 🌎 issues, Too. By, Marvel….helping re-establish the X-men, they’re also laying the Foundation for other Superhero groups and Heroes in that same Universe. To have, them all Connected by the whole 90’s Run… When, I saw Bastion get that Upgrade by Absorbing Cable’s arm…made me think about Onslaught. The way, his overall was made think that way Especially, the wings. And , when they showed that Magneto had this Literal Storm (Raging.) Which, every Mutant has their own Storm Raging…but, not every Storm is the same. It, can be something Traumatic that happen to you as a Kid, a specific person, love interest, a world view that changed your perspective how you See yourself and how you view…Others. We, go through some of the same stuff a lot of the Mutants go through… Real Hurt, Real Pain, Healing of that Hurt and having Family to help get through that Pain, that Hurt and to show We can get Stronger and Persevere in the worst of Times. And the “Talk no Jutsu..” was heavy throughout this Season. You, have to have a Counterbalance to all the Action in the Show. Which, was on point. The Energy and the whole pacing of it…kept me Craving for more. The Anticipation, for Future seasons and the Arrival of the New shows that can boost Marvel even HIGHER. And, I also have something to say about Apocalypse and even during the first few episodes of X-men 97’ has presence was Looming over the whole Season. Showing Him, during the Intro and the Music is playing on top of that. It creates an Atmosphere of his Arrival in the Show. And when, they showed his younger self…got me HYPED!!!! Because, a lot of us knew where the Story was Inevitably going to go…when the current Storylines, ended. But, not only you have Apocalypse , about to take center stage,…u also have another threat waiting in the wings in Kang the Conqueror. We’re about to get Real Fat, with what they have in store for the next Seasons and the other shows that are coming from X-men. If, the other shows turn out to be just as Good as this Show…then, I’m going to pull up a 🪑 and Watch. I’ve been a Fan…since the Comics and the Cartoons and 📺 shows and then to see some the stuff on the Big screen is always a Plus. This is Peak Marvel Entertainment…No Question. Continue the Excellent Work.
My team leader is either Cyclops or Captain America and my four teammates is (1) Forge(Tech/Smart guy) (2) the Powerhouse the Thing or special abilities Quake from AOS…(3) Rocket Raccoon, he can help create Weapons/Pilot. (4) And a Speedster Quicksilver or Makkari from Eternals. The Threat, are the Chitauri…take over the 🌎.
The final episode finished season one off perfectly. The cameos were crazy and the scene with Scott saying goodbye to Cable had me in tears. They packed so much into this season, without it feeling rushed. This whole season has been amazing and part of the enjoyment is also watching the reactions to the episode and getting virtually hyped with other people about the series. Season 2 is going to feel like the longest wait ever but think in the meantime I’ll just have to rewatch the show again and get back into the comics. This has been a wild ride and just can’t wait to see what they do next with season 2!
THis episode was fantastic, truly an amazing season and I'm so stoked to see where things go from here. I find it funny that Magneto does everything he complains about in the opening. Like look back at the whole season and compare it to his speech there and the parallels are interesting. Morph with both the love confession and him shading Sinister like crazy was great. Love them so much. Jubilee stepping up and taking the fight to em was badass as was everyone. Rogue's fight was fantastic. It's sad that Marvel won't let T'Challa be used for whatever reason, Idk why they're so weird about this stuff but it was still mad cool to see Wakanda and T'Chaka as Black Panther.
Wasgud jay3 been a long time loved type guys reaction to the show finally they put respect on the X-men especially my boy cyclops which makes it dope and seeing these characters come together in a epic story I never felt that in so long I loved it every bit.
Specifically, what modern terminology was said. For some reason a lot of younger people don't realize certain phrases and vernacular said today originated in the 90s and therefore is much older than they realize.

Great first season! As a die hard Gambit fan, I was looking forward to seeing him shine (since he was almost non-existent in the films) and the growth of his relationship with Rogue, and they did him dirty...also, the pacing seemed rushed at times...other than that, X-men '97 season 1 was amazing
9/10. Only problem was some of the episode pacing was waaaaaaayyy too fast. I wished they had 45 minutes to tell the same stories. Not enough banter, reflection, establishing shots, etc.
Some of the stories would suffer from longer run-time IMO the clone plot being very drawn out in the comics comes to mind same thing with the fatal attraction storyline it's better trimed and tweaked

Comic book stores raking in the money due to this program. Parents are coming with their kids buying up whatever comic book that's available on the shelves so their children could read the many adventures that these superheroes go through. PASRENTS, don't let your kids touch YOUR stuff because they will tear it up. Let them have their own for their enjoyment. 😉👍

That was T’chaka not T’challa. My favorite episode was 5. I loved the stakes, the action, and the drama. I give this show 4.5 out of 5. It was amazing. Some parts I felt were rushed. But, I loved the show. I have a lot of comic reading to do. Can’t wait for season 2. Thank you for the review.

This was a solid finale. However I have one main gripe with this episode. The black panther that cap was talking to in the White House was actually T’Chaka. This to me, doesn’t make sense, because in the comics, T’Challa was the panther that existed along the avengers, X-men, fantastic 4. So I guess in this universe, T’Chaka is the main panther, the one that made the cameo in the original X-men show. I don’t like how they messed with the time frame, but other than that, I liked the show as a whole.

Vital questions that warrants ANSWERS: 1) Why is Disney/Marvel AFRAID of the Black Panther/King T'Challa Character? And 2) What is the percentage of Black, Alpha Male representation as Disney Studio Executives/Decision Makers? Some thoughts regarding the highly anticipated "Deadpool & Wolverine" Summer Blockbuster: Can you imagine if Wesley Snipes was also in the film as Blade or the Black Panther, along with Angela Bassett as Storm?!? Title would be - "Deadpool, Wolverine, & Blade", film would definitely gross well over $50 Billion (With a B) at the Box Office. Director Ryan Coogler should Write and Direct a "Blade, Storm, & the Black Panther" Movie, yep!
Art style and animation are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. The characters in the old show were drawn anatomicaly INCORRECT, lol. And you gotta be mature enough to see that. Now they are drawn correct with proper dimensions m, details, and contour. The old show also overshaded frames and that resulted in way less movement. As far as the animation, the old show couldn't compete either. Characters were not moving with such intention, expression, and style back in 1992. It was a lot of running, tripping, falling, fainting, pointing, shooting, and missed hits in the old show.😂 X-Men '97 has a cinematic splendor you were not gonna get in a budget 1992 Saturday morning, lol.
I know most don’t care but man black panther means so much to me and seeing him had me hype I’m praying we see him x storm I need it also need people to stop comparing this to live action it’s very different and in my opinion difficult as hell to do in the live action and holy shit CLOAK AND DAGGER

Threat: Juggernaut Rampage through White House towards House Of Representatives meeting caused by Baron Mordo and a shadow group setting up a war scenario. Hero Team : Silver Surfer, The Sentry, Nova, Gladiator, and Scarlett Witch. Threat: Galactus puppeteered by ULTRON to eat Shi'ar homeworld Chandilar.
This is what American comics have been missing.… like what the Japanese do with their mangas by making them into anime… this series comes close to that blueprint… comics are well-designed storyboards waiting to be animated… starting with the Ultimate Spiderman Ultimate x-men even the ultimate fantastic four form panel to panel being to end would make a great series… let's go marvel this money to be made
X-Men 97 What I like.....Almost Everything What I Don't like..... Airing every Wednesday instead of Saturday. It's Saturday Morning Cartoons NOT Wednesday Morning Cartoons.
My character who I feel like id be like is Storm. If it's a villain I'm choosing nimrod from the future in house of x and powers of X, doing what he do with his partner trying to end the mutants. My teammates are Beast, Nightcrawler, Magneto and Magik. Avengers villain is Knull and my team is Wanda, Dr strange, silver surfer, venom symbiote and Thor.
It should be the Avengers and the X-Men Not the Avengers vs the X-Men. If the Avengers and X-Men can fight alongside each other, so should humans and mutants fight alongside each other. The Avengers and X-Men should set the example of showing how Charles Xavier's dream of coexistence is supposed to be.
I think it's better they showed T'Chaka. This leaves the door open to do a Black Panther Origin series set in this universe. They could also just redo Avengers EMH in this universe and show T'Challa's origin in that show. Would be so EPIC if we could get an Avengers vs X-Men in season 3 or 4!!
I really messed with this show the only nitpick I have is I wasnt feeling the big blast of power that you couldn’t tell exactly what power was being used or what was happening. Also the one liners didn’t always hit for me but I give it a 8/10 still.
All I can think about is we need #Spiderman98 Peter found MJ lol. And damn they killed it with this season makes me wanna buy X-men comics and rewatch the original show since idk much about Apocolypse other than some stuff and they got history lore. Loved Cable talking to his parents

The final episode finished season one off perfectly. The cameos were crazy and the scene with Scott saying goodbye to Cable had me in tears. They packed so much into this season, without it feeling rushed. This whole season has been amazing and part of the enjoyment is also watching the reactions to the episode and getting virtually hyped with other people about the series. Season 2 is going to feel like the longest wait ever but think in the meantime I’ll just have to rewatch the show again and get back into the comics. This has been a wild ride and just can’t wait to see what they do next with season 2!

THis episode was fantastic, truly an amazing season and I'm so stoked to see where things go from here.
I find it funny that Magneto does everything he complains about in the opening. Like look back at the whole season and compare it to his speech there and the parallels are interesting.
Morph with both the love confession and him shading Sinister like crazy was great. Love them so much.
Jubilee stepping up and taking the fight to em was badass as was everyone. Rogue's fight was fantastic.
It's sad that Marvel won't let T'Challa be used for whatever reason, Idk why they're so weird about this stuff but it was still mad cool to see Wakanda and T'Chaka as Black Panther.
T'Chaka was king in '97. T'Challa didn't even exist back then. He's an MCU character.
TBH he wasn't black panther in the 90s his father was that's why captain America knew him
Wasgud jay3 been a long time loved type guys reaction to the show finally they put respect on the X-men especially my boy cyclops which makes it dope and seeing these characters come together in a epic story I never felt that in so long I loved it every bit.
Specifically, what modern terminology was said. For some reason a lot of younger people don't realize certain phrases and vernacular said today originated in the 90s and therefore is much older than they realize.

Great first season! As a die hard Gambit fan, I was looking forward to seeing him shine (since he was almost non-existent in the films) and the growth of his relationship with Rogue, and they did him dirty...also, the pacing seemed rushed at times...other than that, X-men '97 season 1 was amazing

9/10. Only problem was some of the episode pacing was waaaaaaayyy too fast. I wished they had 45 minutes to tell the same stories. Not enough banter, reflection, establishing shots, etc.
Some of the stories would suffer from longer run-time IMO the clone plot being very drawn out in the comics comes to mind same thing with the fatal attraction storyline it's better trimed and tweaked

Parents are coming with their kids buying up whatever comic book that's available on the shelves so their children could read the many adventures that these superheroes go through. PASRENTS, don't let your kids touch YOUR stuff because they will tear it up. Let them have their own for their enjoyment. 😉👍

That was T’chaka not T’challa. My favorite episode was 5. I loved the stakes, the action, and the drama. I give this show 4.5 out of 5. It was amazing. Some parts I felt were rushed. But, I loved the show. I have a lot of comic reading to do. Can’t wait for season 2. Thank you for the review.

This was a solid finale. However I have one main gripe with this episode. The black panther that cap was talking to in the White House was actually T’Chaka. This to me, doesn’t make sense, because in the comics, T’Challa was the panther that existed along the avengers, X-men, fantastic 4. So I guess in this universe, T’Chaka is the main panther, the one that made the cameo in the original X-men show. I don’t like how they messed with the time frame, but other than that, I liked the show as a whole.
They're legit trying to erase T'Challa from main continuity. Its messed up as hell. But yeah, apart from that, the show is stellar.

Art style and animation are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. The characters in the old show were drawn anatomicaly INCORRECT, lol. And you gotta be mature enough to see that. Now they are drawn correct with proper dimensions m, details, and contour. The old show also overshaded frames and that resulted in way less movement. As far as the animation, the old show couldn't compete either. Characters were not moving with such intention, expression, and style back in 1992. It was a lot of running, tripping, falling, fainting, pointing, shooting, and missed hits in the old show.😂 X-Men '97 has a cinematic splendor you were not gonna get in a budget 1992 Saturday morning, lol.

This is what American comics have been missing.… like what the Japanese do with their mangas by making them into anime… this series comes close to that blueprint… comics are well-designed storyboards waiting to be animated… starting with the Ultimate Spiderman Ultimate x-men even the ultimate fantastic four form panel to panel being to end would make a great series… let's go marvel this money to be made

It should be the Avengers and the X-Men Not the Avengers vs the X-Men. If the Avengers and X-Men can fight alongside each other, so should humans and mutants fight alongside each other. The Avengers and X-Men should set the example of showing how Charles Xavier's dream of coexistence is supposed to be.
I think it's better they showed T'Chaka. This leaves the door open to do a Black Panther Origin series set in this universe. They could also just redo Avengers EMH in this universe and show T'Challa's origin in that show. Would be so EPIC if we could get an Avengers vs X-Men in season 3 or 4!!

I really messed with this show the only nitpick I have is I wasnt feeling the big blast of power that you couldn’t tell exactly what power was being used or what was happening. Also the one liners didn’t always hit for me but I give it a 8/10 still.
All I can think about is we need #Spiderman98 Peter found MJ lol. And damn they killed it with this season makes me wanna buy X-men comics and rewatch the original show since idk much about Apocolypse other than some stuff and they got history lore. Loved Cable talking to his parents
