Spiderman and his Amazing Friend complete series dvd is sold on Amazon but its a import and will only work on a PC dvd player. I have it.

The WORST part of Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes getting cancelled is that there was legitimately no reason for it other than the fact that Disney wanted brand synergy and made Avengers Assemble which uses the MCU Avengers and while it’s alright it pales in comparison to Avengers EMH

@@xnetsand One of the lead writers and people making the show posted the season 3 plans and the entire script of the first episode of season 3 and seeing what we missed out on still keeps me up at night sometimes
@@hagos9939you have to blame Disney for that. Once they acquired Marvel's right, it meant discontinuing all current projects at the time. So Avengers EMHs, Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine and the X-Men were all halted
I agree that show was so much better and more comic accurate with the team roster and storytelling.
Avengers Assemble sucked. Fuck Disney.
I think the intro of the 90s Incredible Hulk animated series is a perfect summation of the never-ending tragedy of this Frankenstein’s monster inspired character. The world will always come after him and it will ultimately result in fire and destruction. While the show didn’t succeed as well as X-Men or Spider-Man, I think it’s intro stands shoulder to shoulder with them.
Yes, such an underrated intro. It still kills me how they shifted the focus in Season 2.
Thats true Jay. Miguel O Hara was planned to have his debut show back in 1999 but DC had released Batman Beyond first and they felt that show already covered the territory of the futuristic world of that time and didn’t want to copy them. So instead it’s been reworked into Unlimited with that Spider-Man’s outfit being based off of Miguel’s.
Also Miguel’s ost from Across the Spider Verse uses elements from Unlimited intro as well

X Men, Spider Man, and Iron Man had the best intros
Hulk was ok too now.
Avengers earths mightiest heroes theme is also great so is the show. 2nd only to xmen 97 best marvel animation.
Spider-Man Unlimited and Spectacular Spider-Man was my childhood. I remember watching that after school. Eating lunch while relaxing. Good ol' days (IMO)
Before X'Men 97, Marvel had a comic series called XMen '95 that ran for a while, and now there's XMen '97 running alongside the series.

With the succes of X-Men 97, I hope Marvel studios plans to renew Spectacular Spider-Man and Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes... I grew up with those cartoon. I remember watching EMH non-stop before the Avengers movie came out in 2012 and I said to my father "Why Ant-Man, Wasp and Black Panther are not in the team ?" 😭
They were trying to make an Ant-Man movie with Hank Pym in phase one in the MCU but it went through development hell and we ended up with an Ultron not made by Hank Pym
The First Spider-Man was also the first good Marvel Theme song

I remember the reason Johnny storm was removed in that old fantastic four show was cause they didn’t want the kids that be watching this to set themselves on fire, we know during that time adults didn’t look to kindly on comics
That's a myth, if you look up Wikipedia for "H.E.R.B.I.E." it says that when the Fantastic Four property was made into an animated series in 1978, the character of the Human Torch was unable to be used at the time as the character had been optioned separately for use in a solo film (which never materialized).

3:51 Fun fact about the show: This was the first and greatest Marvel TV show made by Hanna-Barbera. The people that brought us Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones, and many more cartoon memories. Since the new film will be in the 60s, I think it'll be a call back and tribute to the show.

Not "every" marvel animated opening as the men in black, ultraforce, marvel action hour, marvel action universe, motion comic shows, crossgen motion comic shows, and if you want to count robocop or dino riders as they were promoted as marvel even though marvel does not own them are all missing. Happy to see avengers disk wars and future avengers made the list. super hero squad was fun.
Trust me, I looked into all those shows, but they aren't Marvel animated shows. They were animated by other studios, which is why they didn't make the list. Also, I had to remove a few shows from the initial list due to RUclips blocking everything, lol. However, the full version is available on Patreon.

Also there’s an extended version of the Spider-man and his Amazing Friends intro with lyrics. Apparently it was on a record release.
The legend of how Herbie came about in the 70s Fantastic Four cartoon was that the network thought kids would try and light themselves on fire, so they replaced Johnny Storm with a robot. However, it seems the actual reason may have been that another studio had actually bought the rights to develop a movie specifically around the Human Torch, so they couldn't use him on the show. (Note - there was a separate Human Torch from the Golden Age of Marvel that was a robot, which had almost the same powers as Johnny).
It is nice to see the Japanese X-Men intros, but they left out the Season 5 intro for X-Men the Animated Series. 🤫
Also missing is the Men in Black cartoon intro. Marvel purchased Malibu Comics, which owned Men in Black, three years before the animated series came out. 😉

I remember watching the reruns of Spiderman and his amazing friends on saturdays, i loved that show but my favorite was the 90s one.
The Fantastic Four show with Herbie, isn't Johnny, its just their robot. Marvel didn't have the rights to use Johnny at the time, so they used Herbie. A similar thing happened with Spider-Man and his Amazing friends, that is why Firestar was created.

16:32 As an animator, I have to let you know my guy. These Fantastic 4 openings were far more expressive and animated than the X-Men opening from 1997. Now if you simply aren't a fan of the "artstyle," that's perfectly fine.

40:28 If I recall correctly, that was a "mon" anime (you know like pokemon/digimon/bakugan/beyblade/etc) and the plot was that the heroes all got trapped by Loki inside disk-shaped devices, and of course a bunch of kids were the only ones that could let them out to fight.

It didn't have "Fred and Barney Meet the Thing" (1979) a Hanna-Barbera cartoon co-produced with Marvel Comics. In it you had teenager Benjy Grimm transform into The Thing when he combined his 2 magic rings (one on each hand) and said, "Thing Ring, do your thing!"
I think She-Hulk from the 1990s was also missing.
I hated that Silver Surfer ended on a cliffhanger.
Remember, the'60s Marvel Superheroes show used images that were in the actual comics for the most part. Shop, the animation was a little stilted. But it was still fun to watch. Spiderman was funny because you only had a few images of Spidey swinging. The 80's Fantastic Four couldn't use The Human Torch because there was a movie proposed and they didn't have the rights.

34:24 this was the best marvel cartoon ever made. If you want an introduction to the entire history of the Avengers that is absolutely faithful to the comic and mixes classic and modern stories this is the show. The absolute best show Marvel ever made and on par with Justice League Unlimited.

X-men Evolution takes place during lunchtime in Brazil, it is a very iconic series here along with Static Shock. There are different memes, the best are mothers with super powers to correct their children, in the Jean Gray scene a mother appears using telekinesis to throw her slipper at her son and in Nocturne scene, the mother teleports at the moment her son is drinking water directly with the mouth in the jar
40:28 - Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers
Speaking on the DVD release of Spiderman TAS I was able to acquire a 4k upscale that looks absolutely amazing. Hopefully an official release will come out soon. Maybe next year when the Spiderman '98 returns!
The first two Japanese openings are just what they added to the original X-Men toon to make it seem more appealing to a Japanese audience. If there WAS a series with that animation past the intro though, that WOULD be super cool.
My favorite intro has to be the Japanese intros for the OG Xmen series.

@Jay3Entertainment Maaan, that sucks since it's animation budget is way better than your average motion comic & it's opening theme is such a banger. I would even say y'all should react to the Black Panther BET Music Video they made for the show, has the full version of the theme & it's visuals is so good

They forgot the intro of one Marvel show. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and the solo Thing animated show.
RUclips blocked Moon Girl, and the solo Thing show was a collaboration with the Flintstones, but all available versions are of poor quality.

Yeah a lot of these were classics! If I had to pick one to bring back for good tho, it'd have to be Avengers EMH. Or something like it. It had the right tone. Not too kiddy but not too dark in case you want younger kids watching. I don't like how everything now feels like it was meant for 2 year olds. Even the way a lot of things are drawn looks too childish. Although Avengers EMH didn't have the best art style either. It grew on me though when I finally saw how good the show was. The stories were great too and actually taken seriously! I like the episodes to feel like they actually connect and lead into an overall story. Not just a random episode of the day like SpongeBob or something. This Avengers line up was the best too. I don't know what they thought they were doing canceling it so soon and going to the newer stuff.

I love the Marvel Animated shows from 1966! I have Captain America and Spider-Man shows on VHS and Stan Lee signed my Cap cassette tape! Stan sign it when I met him in 2016 in Cincinnati Ohio! It contains episodes like The Origin of Captain America and the Origins of the Red Skull! EXCELSIOR, my brothers! 🥳😊👊🏾💙🤍
