Gopro hero 8 4K vs. 1080p resolution detail level test of screenshot crops

Videos were filmed:
4K 60 fps
1080p 60 fps
both with:
Hypersmooth: high
Lens: wide
And all the other default settings
Yes, the video isn't in 4K but when comparing crop screenshot pictures, it doesn't matter.
As you can see, there is no idea to take videos in 4K imho.. 1080p looks even better and the files become smaller

RUclips video compression though.
Both end up in “1080”.

You will get the same video quality (as 4K) if you record in 1080p, resave it to 4K and then upload it to youtube. RUclips 1080p does compress too much.
