You look so exquisite, with an essence of genuine royalty! I humbly thank you for sharing your journey to a distant time and place where self love is treasured! It is an honor to be able to appreciate the uniqueness of our beautiful hair!
Girl, YES!!! There is nothing wrong with rocking a different look but I too feel some women have not completely accepted their true texture and I speak from experience because I too was one of them. I soon learned the more I rocked my hair without any altering of my 4b/c to imitate a different texture the more my hair flourished because of less manipulation.
Gorgeoussssss I'm so happy you did this tutorial! I will try and do a scaled down version lol way scaled down like 7 inches worth of hair scaled down I love big hair too so I'll definitely see how it look on me with what looks like 1/3 of your length!
This is so beautiful, thank you so much. I truly appreciate your words and the community on RUclips, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our website have been so supportive. Thank you again and I love how you can be supportive of an individual's difference.
@jasiseife Hey :D Thank you so much for the love and so happy to hear you are embracing your natural curls! Yes we will be doing videos on everything you just mentioned. Well Nikisha will demonstrate a Wash n Go. I can wash but my hair is not going anywhere, lol.
I know I've said this before but you have the coolest hair on the planet. Thank you for breaking this style down for us. When I first started watching your video my husband walked past me and said "there goes that Marge Simpson girl again"...girl, right after he said it, you said it on your video. We both were on the floor cracking up. LOL!
My Mother used EXTREME patience on our hair, when many girls were complaining about getting their hair done I enjoyed it because she was so gentle. Plus I have been wearing a scarf to bed ever since I can remember. The reason I was able to retain that much length when I was little was because of proper hair care techniques through my Mother which she had learned from her Mother...
Thank you! I love this style and can't wait to try to do it for myself. Is there any chance can do a tutorial on how you make your 150+ twists? It may sound silly but on screen they look like glorious independent strands and before I sit down and try to do the same I want to make sure I know everydetail on how to make them. ;)
At last! And, of course I peep this video just AFTER I put in my updo for this week. Gyah. Well, at least I know what next week's updo is gonna be. I mean, this is the Nefertiti Hi-top. My name is IN the name of the hairstyle, so I'm, like, required to rock the ish outta this! Thanks, girl!
@buffichar Really my pleasure and your right. I had no idea you could patent a style as long as it is unique enough. Nice to know I have youtube as my stamp of creative ownership of this style, lol. :D
@fuyukazemi Thank you so much what a great compliment. It was my first tutorial so I was like "I hope you all like it"!!! Hopefully we can help you reach your hair goals!!! Thank you again :D
I LOVE this hairstyle. It's gorgeous and so unique, so head turning. I can't wait until my hair gets long enough to do this :)... I guess I could do a mini nefertiti hi-top now but I want a big one like yours.
@ncatstate YES, lol. I don't mind people stopping or asking questions, I will gladly answer questions all day but when hands start getting involved watch out now! Funny you commented on this because I actually have a story about this same topic that I will be sharing on our Urban Bush Babe blog this week ;D
which would take hours because she would comb it out in small sections (not wanting to hurt us while combing). She would wash our hair in braids because she knew washing loose would tangle our hair therefore making it difficult to detangle and hurt our tender head in the process and then she would immediately oil our hair after (which was the act of sealing though she had no idea that is what it actually was)....
I don't have half...or a quarter...or an eighth...as much hair as you, but whenever I wear my hair up and rolled in unusual styles like this I get these looks... (0_0). People have actually stopped their cars and asked who does my hair. Thanks for sharing, and showing how we can just let our hair do what it do! Blessings...
so chic! i would love to see u add little accents like a cute hair clip ! thanks for doing this vid! it is very inspiring!!! u gat my brain going!!!!!!!
Simple yet elegant! When my hair grows I will try this style, maybe tighter twist though, one thing you didn't demonstrate is how to use the elastic head band for a more higher look, all in all thanks for the video :)
@ShanLeiyah I can understand! Yes, I was relaxed before and did the big chop. My big chop left me with an inch of hair. So I have been exactly 5 years natural. My hair just celebrated her birthday :D
@elm1230 Thank you so much and YES!!!! I know exactly what you are talking about because that is one of my favorite styles which I created by accident while detangling my hair, lol. I will take another poll on the Urban Bush Babes blog this week asking which hairstyle tutorial should be next so I will include this style but regardless I make a tutorial of the style you are speaking of. Thank you again :DDD
@21bahamas Hey my dear Kay!!! Thank you so much as always and girl you read my mind because sometimes I rock printed silk scarfs that I wrap around this hairstyle. Damn, I should have showed that. Oh well next time. Lovin your GORGEOUS HAIIR
Hi Cipriana! I love this style and your style in general! I think of all the youtubers that I'm subscribbed to, my hair is closest to yours as far as type goes. Of course my hair is not nearly as long, but I did try a modified version of this style on my shorter hair and I love it! I was thinking about doing a video response just to show you :)
@LenaDaBest07 You are the sweetest and we are extremely flattered!!! The most important part is that you are so aware at such a young age. Yes you can do this! The awareness is the biggest step but not to have much support can make the process difficult (especially in high school) but please know you have our full support and if you have any questions you can email us. Thank you so much
@MyOdette123 Hey :) I haven't used a comb in years. I have mastered finger detangling pretty well so well that I can run a comb througha section of my hair without any breakage. Definitely took some practice, lol.
@fanatic709 Haha yes a lot of questions but I don't mind. First, thank you!!! My twists are about a half an inch in diameter. I use to wear braidouts and twistouts and haven't ruled them out but yes tangles are a major concern since my strands are super fine. I have never wore goddess braids and I absolutely looooooooooooove dreads but I prefer my strands freeform :) Your welcome and thank you for watching :D
OMG! I love this tutorial. Thankyou for this!! I'm gonna see if I can try this out. I actually was curious as to how you did the hairstyle ...ugh! I'm not sure where I saw it but it was on your blog. You had on like a teal blouse I believe. Oh and you also had a brooch on. Well Anyways I am obsessed with that updo! lol if you have time please make a video about that one. I love it.
@Riiajanelle I will eventually do a hair wash tutorial so you can see my hair wet then. As for my high top "shell", I wear my hair in a many of different updos. Thank you for your assistance, lol but I have no desire to wear my hair down as of now. Especially with warmer weather right around the corner, lol.
@hwiley09 Thank you so much!!!! Hahaha yes!!! I believe one fine day it will happen and hopefully we can provide tons more of info you will find useful to help you achieve all your hair goals! I believe!!!
my hair is nowhere near long enough to do this and it never will be cause i will probably only be able to tolerate it when it passes my shoulders. I just clicked to watch you do it. your hair is so pretty
@mekialovedat You are awesome thank you so much and so glad you founds us. Yes, giving this style a try or gawking at it is greatly appreciated either way, lol:D
@kameelean No, we are not hosting any meetups as of yet but if we do or attend any meetups we will definitely let you know on our Urban Bush Babe site :)
Now regarding my baby pictures. This is not the first time I have heard, "oh you had long hair when you were little and I didn't, that is how I know my hair can't grow" but what people fail to see is the back story to those pictures. All of those baby pics are of special occasions and holidays. For many years, in fact through my entire youth and early teens I wore nothing but box braids, and cornrows. My mom was extremely gentle in combing our hair...
@Savantskd Your words are so beautiful, thank you so much and I feel that distant time is breaking its way into our near future. There are so many of us who can appreciate difference instead of mocking it or creating negativity. So many of you are a part of that distant time so I thank you!
@kcat200 Thank you so much! I just love playing dress up. We will be incorporating some style videos that I think you will be extremely excited about :DDD
was your hair relaxed before if so how long have you been natural? just wondering how long it took to get your hair to that length, i'm so impatient with my growth right now
remarkable! how big r ur twists? r they mini twists? do u ever wear braidouts or twists outs? even 4 a day bc i think u said that tangles r a major concern. how often do u do say senegelese twists or box braids? do u wear goddess braids? have u ever had or considered dreads? so many ?'s thanx 4 the vid!
did you say your hair was in 150 loose twists??? it doesn't look like it....i had to rewind to be sure i heard you correctly. how long did it take to make those and why??
I love how you handle your hair. You don't seem overwhelmed by it at all.
You look so exquisite, with an essence of genuine royalty! I humbly thank you for sharing your journey to a distant time and place where self love is treasured! It is an honor to be able to appreciate the uniqueness of our beautiful hair!

Even though I didn't vote, I so love this hairstyle. To me, it really is your "crown" of glory and you are wearin it, girl. Thanks for inspiration
I know I've said this before but you have the coolest hair on the planet. Thank you for breaking this style down for us. @bigteina No, I haven't always worn loose twists. I started wearing loose twists about 3 years ago but this can absolutely be done on shorter lengths.
@ShanLeiyah I can understand! Yes, I was relaxed before and did the big chop. My big chop left me with an inch of hair. So I have been exactly 5 years natural. My hair just celebrated her birthday :D

Great video and once my hair get more lenght to it, I'll be sporting some fierce hair styles.
@friendlyfire94 I have not used heat in over two years, the only way I see length is through stretching by bantu knots or braids.
Finally. Love this. More please.
