Went with a 4mm 22inch silver rope chain. I think it’ll be subtle, but an upgrade from the 2.75mm 22inch silver Cuban chain I wear now. I’m a subtle, tucked in kind of a guy lol.
Awesome video, thanks for taking the time to do this. 1 idea I had was I noticed chains look smaller imo with white T shirts than with Black T shirts. Just an idea for possible future vids! I also wanted to say I find the Mariner Chain link pairs good with the Rope chain, I prefer a more rectangular cut mariner rather than the oval shaped links like Jacoje has.
Hey Bryant! Thanks so much for the awesome suggestion, you are for sure right about the shirt! And thanks so much for giving the suggestion on the mariner and rope as a stack! I know it'll help give many of the viewers inspiration. 😀✊
Good thing I found your comment. I’m brainstorming right now between a 4mm or 5mm d/c rope chain. I feel like those two sizes still carry subtle sophistication and class. 6mm and up would be too flashy for me. How are you liking your 5mm so far bro?
@@unknownsource4359 I like the 4 and 6, but I think the 5mm was perfect, I’ve had it for about a year and I’m still happy with it, I just recently bought the 5.5mm jacoje curb to stack it with and the two look great together
@@unknownsource4359 he’s right. 5mm have a pretty good presence/size in real life. Enough for a statement but also a daily. I believe its the perfect solo rope. Next to the 3mm which is great for stacking.
I love your videos bro I’m in the process of getting a 6MM Rope chain at 20 inches length and I’m roughly around the same size as you great I love 💙 your videos bro 😎 keep up the Fantastic work💪🏽💯🙏🏽
New sub here. I'm planninb to buy rope chain and this vid helps me decide what to mm to buy. Thanks for making the effort. More power to your channel. Love from 🇵🇭
this video was PERFECT. Id like to see the 4mm compared to the 5mm rope though, which is the decision im trying to make right now xD. However this is the next best thing. I currently have a 2.5mm rope so if you have something that small to compare with the 4mm as well would be SICK
Hey Lud! It honestly depends on what I'm doing at the time and what I'm wearing. A lot of the time I like to stick to around a 10 mm Cuban bracelet when I do wear one. I'll definitely have a video coming out soon to discuss bracelets and my thoughts on millimeter! Thanks for your valuable input and I hope this helped to give you some direction before the video comes out.
Hey bro! I absolutely do believe that any jeweler would be able to extend that for you. Something that you might also want to look into is a jewelry extender which will be much less money and depending on how you wear it it might be likely that no one would even be able to tell that it was extended. Another option that you might want to do is measure your wrist and purchase a rope bracelet with the same width that you can attach in order to have it be extended. Then, on days where you're not wearing your necklace you can wear the bracelet and so forth. Hope that this helped!
This makes me want a 5mm more than anything. 4mm looks good but you know how it is when you have owned a chain for a month or more, you start wishing you went bigger so I want to start with a 5mm.
Very wise thinking! That's always what happens, we always order what we think we want and then we end up wishing we went one size bigger. Very, very wise thinking ✊
Bro I made the mistake of buying the MM.... GO 5MM OR HIGHER you'll get glad you did. 4mm rope in person is so incredibly small you'll think you're holding a 2.5/3mm chain. It's amazing how muxh bigger cams make jewelry look
Hey Lex! So sorry but I just realized that I didn't get back to you. Please forgive me! The size on that bracelet is 10mm at 8 inches! My wrist size hovers around 2 inches high and 1.5 inches think. Hope this helps!
Awesome great video thanks for sharing. I have a question. I have 2 beautiful rope chains that I purchased back in the late 70s and early 80s. I gained weight and no longer wear them. Can I add inches to these chains? So I can wear them now.
It really is unbelievable how much bigger chains look on camera...i was convinced a 4mm looked decent from videos. For what i paid for it I've never in my life been more dissapointed in something i purchased. Jeweler only had a 5 day return policy i was out of town when it arrived so i couldn't return it. I was stuck with this gold chain that i wanted nothing to do with. I wore it a few times to force myself to like it.. couldn't do it... i was almost embarrassed wearing.. it looked like a gold colored dental floss string around my neck. I was brand new to jewelry and had no idea and no idea hiw much bigger jewelery looks on cam. Ihave a broad chest and it just looked goofy on me.. i ended up taking it to one of the places that would give me the most for it. I lost more than a few hundred dollars on it but I was never gonna wear it again so bettee than nothing. I say that to say this...guys... plz ...learn from me...if you see a piece you like on video alwaya go mm up... TRUST ME you'll thank me later. Personally, this may sound kinda mean but idk how ppl are satisfied wearing a 4mm or smaller. Especially if its real gold the amount you pay for suxh a TINY chain almost feels scammy. Ive just learned I'll never go lower than 5mm. Personally I think the 6mm rope is the absolute perfect size
What if its 4mm and it's 22k .....it would be worth way more than a 6mm 14k ,......jewelry isn't always about appearance and what people think .....its more whats its value is and what it means to you.....I think its awesome that some dumb kid can think his chain is bigger and more expensive than mine but doesn't know mine is 18k or 22k ......and that is the real flex .....

great video bro, esp the time spent on the neck profile when tucked in!

Both look decent, when I bought my rope I went with a 5mm, it has enough of a presence to wear alone, but isn’t too big to stack with another chain

I’m torn between a 5mm and a 6mm 22 inch rope that I plan to rock with a 1 1/2 inch pendant. 😅 I’m 6ft 190 pounds.

Some jewelers offer the service to lengthen a chain.
