I love the energy of this artist and the format of this episode. I've followed CIYL for quite a while and I am so happy to see Graeme expand his show and vision !
Glad you enjoyed the show. WE will have a new one for you every week for you and our fans, Please if you get the chance it would be great if you told more folks about us. We have worked tirelessly for many years to bring you these Artists, thanks again
Thank you so much Maria, We as artists, thrive on folks understanding and appreciating our work. It is not only work but also a lifestyle. Best regards
Wow, what colour and movement in your paintings, I love the bold brush strokes. It was inspirational to watch you work and thanks for sharing your process's. It is wonderful to see art work which celebrates women in such an free and colourful way, truly brilliant. Thanks for putting colour into women's lives :)
Thank you for your kind words. I am honored and grateful to have the opportunity in my life to share my thoughts in my work and have folks like yourself appreciate it. Regards, Kathleen
I greatly enjoyed seeing Kathleen's powerful and energetic (literally so, when she was applying those initial layers!) work. As well as being artistically talented, she also clearly thinks a lot about her art and has developed an impressive message about the role of women in modern life. A big thumbs up to her! At the risk of seeming slightly negative (and nothing at all to do with Kathleen's work) I'm sure the production team will have noticed that there have already been a number of comments indicating that the loud and ever-present music was distracting - and I'd like to add my own to those prior voices. But, as for the artist - brilliant! Regards, Brian.
Kathleen, Thanks for sharing your vibrant work. I'm so glad to see an American version of Graeme's show. He has done more for Australian tourism than many others, but can't seem to get the respect deserved in his home country's politics. I wish him the best, and am grateful to see so many talented artists' work on here.
Thank you Lucy. Yes we are on TV stations across the world and also on Sky Arts New Zealand, but cant even get Sky Arts Australia to speak with us. We are moving mostly into the states now due to the interest there and also the support. Thats life in Australia, what do you do, Graeme
@@ColourinyourlifeAu Hi Graeme, I am honored to have been a part of what you are doing. It is a great tool for artists and for the forward movement of art. You are an inspiration. Thanks for who you are. I am spreading the word. Blessings, Kathleen
Thank you Kathleen , thats very sweet of you to say. Our system just continues to build every day and of course now that you have done the show you will be a part of so many more people across the world having the chance to see you and your wonderful Art. I would like to grow CIYL even more in the US. in the coming years and having such talented people like you involved will help us achieve that . Thank you , Graeme xxx
I’m referring to the first part of the video, not all of it! I feel horrible commenting negatively, I never have before , love the new presenter he’s very enthusiastic x
I really like how freely she paints, and how much fun she seems to have. Comes through in her work. And the angled buildings that appear to be moving create a really interesting effect. Great work.
+Kathleen Carrillo; your inspiring Kathleen. As I type this I'm getting ready to start the body on a dog portrait I'm doing. My reference pic is one I took and it's not very good color wise so the idea of just looking at the pic in b & w and not trying to match the colors is a great idea. Thks K. I'll post the painting on my facebook page.
@@eddiegalon3714 Thanks for reminding me about that part, about painting from black and white photos and getting creative with the colors. That's a really interesting idea.
@@eddiegalon3714 Good luck with your portrait. You will find it difficult at first, but think about complimentary colors a work from that perspective. A triad is a great way to create a richer image. Thanks for your response.
I think I'd like to have seen more painting actually being done. I really liked the concepts behind the work being explained too, so a few more techniques would have created a good day. Selling is important but it was geared more to that I feel.
Hi Marion, You are very kind. I have such a wonderful time painting and the longer I do it the looser I get. You become more confident the more you work at it. I now start all of my painting with my left hand. I am right hand dominant so it takes me out of my head and into my heart!
It's an old paint shirt. You know those Chico no iron ones. Just love to wear it over everything! I have about five of them and just wash and wear paint and all!
Thank you so much Anthony. I am very lucky to be able to live in two of the most beautiful places in the world. I love living by the beach and in small town living. It helps keep me grounded so that I am able to work better.
Thank you Tanzeel, but if we are to expand and enable our teams to film more Artists I need to work with talented people like Rich and Allen to bring all of this together. I just can't be every where at one time, but thanks for your comments

Love Kathleens paintings but what is with that background music... you can barely hear Kathleen through it. I think Richard needs his own words in the intro... Graham's trademark intro sounds flat in Richards voice.
@@AllenFreemanMediaGuru Ha! You would say that seeing as you did the filming and editing!! Clearly, you have a problem with some constructive criticism. I'm not the only one who has commented on the poor audio either. Kathleen, is barely audible during her painting, drowned out by the music. Sorry to say, the editing of this episode isn't up to scratch.

Will the houseplant last?
I love everything except that shoulder/arm which is an eye catcher and is not anatomically/proportionately correct. Otherwise I love her style.
Whoa! Where the hell is Graeme?!
We are expanding the idea across the world now and I can't be every where, but thanks for asking, Graeme
Love her work and everything g about her and her surroundings. , but the music is disturbing.
