"Art is not what we paint, is what we make the others see" Amazing after practice, the artist brings out his own style. So i strongly believe everyone has one. Blessings, AMAZING ARTISTS!!
I have to say one of my favorite videos of yours Graeme. What a lovely lovely lady, love her loose style , love the bold colors and huge strokes. Those florals were stunning. I love when she said some have great technical abilities showing, but they lack emotion, passion, very very well said.
Watching Barabra paint was amazing, it has shown me another side to painting. I now know I really have to loosen up when I have a brush in hand. Thank you Graeme for bringing us such an amazing lady. I could watch her paint for hours.cheers Mel.
Barbara! What an amazing video to watch. I love your work and your wonderful enthusiasm is so uplifting and infectious. Lovely to meet you today. Happy Painting! 😊
Hi Barbara, it is so fruitful watching your friendly interview and, especially, watching you work... A lifetime of hard work in just a few minutes was viewing your easy flowing through paint, bringing about so much joy. Yes, nice to mention, Graeme, that good emotional paintings come from a sense of loss and from overcoming it - it’s like coming to light, to a newly recharged field of energy that forces us to create something with it. Many 10x!!!
What a great artist! Definitely a kindred spirit because I have never known anyone to get as excited about painting as I do, even though, if I was as good as her I would get even more excited! 🤗
I already have Graeme. I run a website for artists artinstructionblog.com and a facebook page. I share your videos from time to time with my visitors and subscribers. I wish you the very best with your ambitious endeavor!
WOW, this is a super demo. Barbara is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and all that goes through anybody's artistic appreciation of the arts. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it over and over again and if in NZ i will make sure to visit and maybe attend a workshop. well done dear Barbara
Hey Graeme, have you ever considered going to an one hour format/show? ( or 2 or 3 or 4 hours, heck, a 24 /7 Graeme Show) You can never get enough of a good thing, you know! Edit to add: I could watch this woman paint for hours. She has such joy!
+lansing street blues Thanks for your response, any longer and the show would not fit into the formats of the TV stations and in the end we would have to pay for air time, at the moment we are very lucky due to the popularity of the series that we dont get charged, the day we do will be the day the series ends, Graeme
Thanks so much, I've been away from painting for some years now and have been looking for inspiration and direction. Love your work and your personality. 😊
Fabulous to meet you today on the Coromandel Open Studios Tour and to see your Gallery and Studio - a very inspirational Day! Love your work and the enthusiasm you have for Patrick Greene's Art work too - I will be back Cheers Karen

I will contact Barbara, but in saying that most people are not aware that there is a cost to be on the show, Graeme
Thankyou Graeme. appreciate your quick response.I lived in australia for 33 years and have now moved to Singapore. When i see your videos I feel I am missing out on so many workshopes being conducted there. Thankyou once again
Hi Bruceann, no they are not house paint brushes, they are Da Vincy artist brushes . I am using between 60mm and 120mm wide ones. I love large brushes since they stop me fiddling around with too much detail.
Hi Bruceann,Thank you for your question. I am inspired by a lot of artists, all the ones that have colour as their main objective. I mentioned Turner for his lovely hazy atmosphere, all the expressionists I love for their forceful brushwork and the emotional content that is contained in their work. A German artist called Emil Nolde is fabulous. Let's not forget it is the colour that speaks directly to the soul!
Inspirational! Going to grab my paintbrush! Endless gratitude.
One of my favorite interviews and I have gone back to watch this several times.

Through her paintings.
Looks similar to painting by numbers. But is beautiful.
Hi Barbra, the brush you're using; is it a house paint brush?
Hi Bruceann, no they are not house paint brushes, they are Da Vincy artist brushes . I am using between 60mm and 120mm wide ones. I love large brushes since they stop me fiddling around with too much detail.
Hello Barbra, would you tell me the other artists that have inspired you. 😊

Anyone know what brand of paint she uses? 🤔
Hello Bruceann Yellowega. I principally use Atelier Interactive acrylics. Barbara von Seida
I mean Barbara Tyson, Meritje Skidmore and Ms Kerry Anne Sullivan
Most artists are women i think
Beautifully talented lady. What an enthusiastic artist and an inspiration!
