PEOPLE. Alison is a REAL PERSON. Imagine if she was saying all of this to you in person, would you be rushing her to get to the point then? If you were her friend sitting next to her as she poured her heart out to you would you tell her she was rambling? She has feelings and so many of you are forgetting that. It is so easy for some of you to sit behind your screen and make judgements and say hateful things, which is such a cowardly and mean, when what we all should be doing is finding a way to lift her spirits. She has spoken so much about how much insensitive comments have affected her and I don't understand how any of you could listen to her say that and then turn around and write something so insensitive. If you only wanted to hear the answer without listening to her explain then I don't know why you were watching in the first place. Alison it really makes me sad to see you so sad. And it makes me sad to see you abandoning God when He is the only thing that can take your pain away and I know that first hand. I've experienced it. It really breaks my heart to know you think Christianity is about being perfect. A lot of Christians spew that and it's just not true. Christiany is about relationship with God and knowing His immense love for us. I pray that one day you'll know how much God loves you regardless of ANYthing you've ever done or will do, and God is the only one who can show you that, not people.
But you have to realize that that is your experience, not everyone can find a good place with God. Not everyone can depend on Him to take the pain away. T doesn't work like that for everyone. Sure it's upsetting but being open minded about people and their situations and even how they deal with them is so much more beneficial than judging them or wishing they find God to help them.

I'm a christian and I just wanted to tell you what you are feeling is so normal. You probably won't really know who you are until your mid 30's and even then you will evolve. The great thing about God is that once you accept Jesus as your savior there is nothing you can do to make him abandon you. So even though you dont believe now he will always be there for you. Maybe once you get a little older you will find your way back home just in a new way that is more acceptable in with your new view point. You can love God and be anyone but we are often taught by extremist Christians you have to live in some certain box to be accepted or loved by God. I guarantee you this is wrong. I watch your channel and many channels but really don't care about your religion. I only want you to be happy as a person so I am glad you are finding your happiness. Please know that the only people who matter are your friends and family. I know you will be ok. Just center yourself and realize that you will be ok. I hope you have some good friends who will always be there for you, being young and finding your sexuality when you are raised extreme Christian can be very hard. Relationships and break ups are hard. Especially when you break up with your old self. The one that people told you to be...not the one you actually are. I found the answer to God at age 20, and i´ve been a Christian now for 4 years and extremely proud of it. Theres no need to stop being a Christian. ends time are coming, you need to be saved. I used to be Christian and got caught up in church and everyone in it until I realized that the pressure to constantly be worrying about what God thinks of the things we do IS STRESSFUL.. I understand that living a "christian" lifestyle is solely about spreading love and genuinity to people. I am still spiritual and I continue to live the "christian" lifestyle but without the pressure of needing to spread the word of God to everyone I encounter b/c I'm not sure that i believe in "God" anymore. I believe in the forces of the universe that the Christian God work through, like fate and destiny idk. I learned a lot of amazing things about how to treat other people at church but I couldn't handle following a religion that other people wrote. I love spirituality but not all the strict rules and hypocrisy of the people i surrounded myself with as a Christian.

Natalya k it is the lie of Satan that we are to be looking at the people in the church anyway some of his best advocates and teammates are in the church. And unless you're mature Christian you don't understand that I certainly did not. But then I realized at the age of 54 when I look back on my life and realized time after time after time again how I was not able to maintain a happy life because of poor decisions based on what I want instead of what God wanted in my life and giving my total life to him and being patient and learning myself etc. this is when I learn these things. I go to church every Sunday and yes there are people in the church that I know are probably not living a life forgot they're just putting on ask for their wives for their husbands to find a girl or a guy thinking that they might find a future partner etc.
Hi, I am so sorry to read about how stressful it was to try to follow God. I Accepted Jesus when I was a teen and started going to church when I was in college, it wasn't easy. I went in and out of church so many times for the past 12 years. I had bad experiences with people at church and I sometimes felt rejected , abandon etc. Today I am married , a mom of 2 and a leader at my church, and I can tell you that it wasn't an easy journey. I also can tell you that if it wasn't for the love of Jesus, I would not be here today. Since I was a young girl I was broken from different types of abuse I suffered, I had suicidal thoughts, I was a slave of self harm and abusive relationships. When Jesus saved me I wanted to be perfect for HIm and I tried so hard, and failed, Thank God there was loving people around me to let me know that He loves me as I am. They told me I just have to accept His love and He will help me with my pain, issues, etc. one step at a time. I had ups and downs and I lost my mom and grandma and then everything else. No matter what happened around me, Jesus always showed me how much He loves me, He used people , The BIble and situations , that always let me know He was always there with His arms opened. It has never been easy, but because of my relationship with Jesus, I have learned to love, forgive, fight for what I want, not to quit ... The most important things I have learned is that even if I loose everything again, He still in His throne and I am Loved, accepted, protected and valued... not because of all the good things I do, but for what He did for me, not because of who I am, but because of who He is. God wants our heart and our obedience, because it will help us to be closer to Him and make better decisions in life. The closer we are to Him, the more honest we are even if we are angry at Him) the louder we can hear His voice, the stronger we can feel His love and forgiveness and HIs peace. Life is full of bad things, but this life is temporary, one day we will be with HIM our Lord. God bless
I'm 21 now and been in a psychiatric hospital 4 times. I know how scary it is and I really feel for you. Overcoming self harm is so difficult but remember relapsing is part of recovery. You will be okay. You have so many people behind you.
I am so sorry you have had this negative experience of being a "Christian". God wants the imperfect people. He doesn't want anyone to be perfect. I don't know, this just makes me so sad.. As a completely nonjudgmental Christian (whom also cusses ) my heart truly goes out to you and your family. My heart also does break for you and I'm sorry that you have lost your faith. That was a really brave thing to admit and I know where you are coming from. I have struggled with my faith before, it's only human. Sometimes you have to completely start over in order to get everything straight and I do hope that in the future that you rekindle your relationship with God but in YOUR own way, let God guide you. I promise you that God does not want you to be perfect, there is no such thing as a perfect Christian. If you don't mind though I will continue to pray for you guys. You're on a path to self discovery and I'm glad you're doing it without letting others opinions change who you are / who you want to be. I've been watching your videos for years. I was raised in church and up until I was about 15, it was basically my life. I never had a truly personal relationship with God. I denounced my "faith" and was an atheist for about 5 years. I dated a girl, and did everything my heart desired with no remorse. I don't judge you for where you are but I am 21 now and am a Christian and my life has never been the same since. I've seen the work of God in my life. There is no other explanation. The fact that you feel this way breaks my heart but you have impacted so many lives. You can be who you are and still believe that God is there. I encourage you to at least try really calling out to him because he won't ignore you. God is love and it's sad that so many people are constantly judged because they make one mistake while having the Christina faith. We are granted new souls not instant perfection. Perfection is something we will never achieve. No matter what you decide, I'm praying.
I don't know why but I never felt like my being a Christian has ever made me sad. As a child even up until now. I know everyone is different but somehow I find comfort in it..but this is probably because I focus more on a relationship with God as opposed to listening to judgmental people including believers AND non believers. I've literally witnessed miracles and even my private prayers were at times answered by random people walking past me on the street...I'm sorry that you feel like you have to leave God but I mean the great thing is that he will always welcome us back with open arms. I remember I saw you at IMATS 2015. I had NO idea who you were, didn't know you had a RUclips channel. I was standing against the wall waiting for my friend and just looking around. I remember making eye contact with you and thinking to myself that you were one of the most beautiful people I had ever seen but I remember thinking that something seamed wrong and you looked sad. I grew up going to church three times a week and Christian school. When I became an adult I completely walked away from it and rejected it, but then I came back. You have to find out what you believe on your own and you will. I came back to religion but not in the same way as I grew up. You will figure it out. You are young.
I've struggled with anxiety my entire life, and the hardest thing about living with a mental illness is that people look at you and say, "Well you look fine so nothing is wrong with you." If you look at my Instagram page you won't see a page filled with anxiety, but that is my reality. I hope that you find peace in life and I will be praying for you. ❤️

so crazy how people go through similar walks of life. was raised a hardcore baptist and when i hit 19 and experienced freedom in college, i realized i didn't know what i actually believed in and declared myself agnostic. instead of self harm, i got into drugs and partying/raving every single night because i was so lonely. partying was literally my escape. i love you and appreciate this video so much.

So, dont you see how you have had an emotional downward spiral once you denied Him? HE can get you through anything and everything. FAITH. Girl, have faith. He will heal your trouble and your hurt. It WILL get better. Its OKAY to question your beliefs. Its OKAY to ask "why is this happening to me if God loves me?" God allows suffering because without it there would be no compassion. Trials test our faith. I know you're mad that God would allow you to hurt yourself, be judged by strangers, and feel unhappy. Trust. This too shall pass!

No that's not what I said at all. Christians go through hard these just like everyone and it doesn't mean they aren't good enough or aren't doing something. we're all human so we will all hurt. My point is, when you don't rely on God during troubling times it can feel and be so much worse. It feels lonely, it feels uncertain, it feels hopeless. I've been there. When you reply on Him during bad times, it can help give you purpose, hope, and a light at the end of the tunnel.

Allison, I hope you read this. I don't want attention, so I'm not sharing this so I get sympathy. I genuinely want her to read this and know she helped me. A few months ago, my 2 year old niece passed away from HLHS (hydro-plastic left heart syndrome) She was born with half a heart. Then, after her funeral, 1 week later, my sister commited suicide. My heart is broken. I've never had such pain and my panic attacks are worse than ever. I have struggled with mental illness for my entire life, I am 23 now. I have such anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD. (yes, all diagnosed and I am on medication.) RUclips has been my happy safe escape. A good healthy distraction for me on my long road to healing. It has helped more than you know. I appreciate this raw, honest, beautiful video. I want to meet you and give you a long hug. I love you.

I watch RUclips because I love to escape my own reality and I love makeup. I am a subscriber but I do NOT own anyone I am subscribed too. They owe me nothing. There are so many other videos being uploaded constantly that there is always something to watch - I don't understand why people are so negative or write mean things? I was always taught - "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it." Everyone is entitled to have their own thoughts and beliefs but NO ONE has the right to force it onto another person.
I don't usually comment on videos like this but I'm so unbelievably supportive of you Alison. As a fellow youtuber who has struggled a lot personally this past year, I agreed with all your points and I definitely understood what you were talking about in regards to figuring out what you believe and sharing certain parts of your life on social media but hiding others. I think it's incredible and courageous that you chose to make this video and I will continue to support you in whatever you choose to do.
Spirituality and religion are two separate things. Questioning things means you're growing up. Keep asking questions, keep growing, and eventually you will find out that not having answers to all questions is totally fine. And don't be ashamed of asking for professional help, that just means that you love yourself and want to take care of yourself. No one should judge you for what you believe/don't believe in. People who truly love you will respect your choices.
Alright. I'm way older than you and I just happened upon your channel a while ago. I never concerned myself with what content RUclipsrs are or are not putting out because I'm busy living my life. Anyone that is that concerned with your life has no time to live their own. What an empty existence that must be for them!! In any case, even though I'm 14 years older than you, I've been where you were and are so to speak, and I was put in a group home for several years. So speaking from a place of experience with the same sort of struggles, I would predict that for right now, periodically it's going to be hard for you to ignore the people who are being negative towards you no matter how much you want to not be bothered by them, and no matter how much you know logically that you shouldn't worry about what other people think, and no matter how much you think that you should be able to ignore it all by your own internal will alone. Don't worry so much about should. So, you asked in this video what I and others as viewers wanted to see from your channel and this is it from my position. I want you to turn off the comments. That way when your not feeling strong you don't have wonder about what is being said in the comments because guess what? Disabled comments function is there for a reason. People don't need to share every shitty thought they have in their head. So then, while the comments are off, I want to see videos of you doing what you want to do. Not what you think people want from you. Not what you feel obligated to give. Do what what is in your heart that gives you joy. If in 6 months or a year you find that your happiness is not conducive to being recorded and broadcast to people who as humans will be unpredictable in both good and bad ways, than you leave RUclips behind and you don't feel bad about it for one second. You participating or not participating in RUclips is not something that anyone should be judgemental about. If they are, that is a character defect in them, so why would you worry about someone else's flawed thinking regarding you or anyone or anything else. The world is bigger than RUclips. It seems you have been trained to feel guilt for anything that might deviate from the routine of what your life has been so far. But honey your life has just begun!! I'm in the same boat, religion wise. I grew up being a strong Catholic. But as I grew and learned more I started doubting a lot of things. But I still have some of what I was raised with instilled in me. So I have no idea what I believe.

Come quickly, Lord, and help me." Psalms 40:12-13 "I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along." Psalms 40:1-2 We all have our troubles, at times there may seem to be an overwhelming amount of troubles and confusion, but I believe that God doesn't put things in your life that you cannot overcome. Personally knowing that we fail constantly but having a gracious God who loves us unconditionally is where I find my joy and strength, and with that, knowing we can constantly be going to God in complete surrender and asking for help comes with answers and peace and guidance. I'm sorry for this comment that may seem irrelevant to you, but I just hope that this was able to speak to you in some way. I encourage you and I hope you keep pursuing what you love and enjoy.

I have always loved loved your videos! And more importantly your heart. It breaks my heart that you think that being a Christian means putting up a perfect front. All that matters is your heart and your relationship with Jesus. I have struggled with anxiety for years and one thing that I can never run away from is the love of Jesus. Even when you are going through the darkest times, He's never gone. I could never deny that Jesus Christ is my savior because of personal experiences, moments where I have literally felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. I know that you have had those experiences as well. Also, when it comes to mental health UM I AM SO SO SORRY you were not treated seriously! That makes me so angry. this was such a brave video, alison. tons of respect. however i was disappointed when you called your hospital roommate "a schizophrenic." as someone who spent time in a mental institution you should know not to diminish people down to their mental condition. you're not "a cutter." you're a person. your roommate was a PERSON. with schizophrenia. but a person first. thats what your whole video was about, yet you looked down upon someone who has to deal with really scary symptoms every day of their life. so this one year sucked, and youre fortunate enough to be able to take time off to recover. be grateful, grow, learn, and spread loving vibes. i hope your spiritual and mental journey in 2016 is better than last year. :)
There is no such thing as a "perfect" christian. I hope someone's wrong teachings have not effected your love for our savior. It is known that we are sinful creatures in nature and no matter what we do we could never be perfect and that's why Jesus, the son of God, came and lived the perfect life that you and I could never live and died for OUR sins. If you believe in your heart that Jesus is your Lord and Savior who was crucified and paid the penalty you and I deserve, then that is it. Yes, that doesn't mean go and sin all you want because hey, Jesus died for my sins; instead it means I understand the price that was paid, and although I am sinful in nature, no sin is greater than believing in the word of God and my faith in him. Remember as many times as you run from him, he is always there waiting with open arms.

Sweet Alison, I am 58 yrs old and just stumbled across your channel. Ohhhh precious jewel, you are so hard on yourself. You have accomplished so very much at a very young age. Hold your head high. For 58 yrs I have been a Believer, I don't even like to use the word Christian that much any more because in so many circles it sadly has become a trigger word for mean spirited and close minded, and I am so sad to say, I can see why :-( . I once thought I had all of the spiritual answers to everything too, but when my amazing son "came out" to us everything changed. I began to deconstruct and realize that all of the things I had been taught or heard about the LGBT community, simply were NOT true. God has taken me on a completely different path where my heart is more opened up to love than before. I do consider myself a Jesus follower (I like that so much better). Isn't it ironic how my son's coming out taught me how to love better? Life is ironic sometimes. Many of my Christian friends have left me because of my beliefs, but that is ok--I have so many more who love me unconditionally as Christ loves. What ever you believe , there are those who care about you. Please never ever forget that. You will go up and down and all around 100 times in this life with all that it will bring you. Anyway, Alison...I have sat here and watched your amazing videos so that I could help my daughter's dance competition makeup look stellar, like YOU!. My heart breaks for you, that as a young beautiful woman you have had to face so much pain, and have forced to grow up like this, for everyone to see. It really breaks my heart to know you think Christianity is about being perfect. A lot of Christians spew that and it's just not true. Christiany is about relationship with God and knowing His immense love for us. I'm a christian and I just wanted to tell you what you are feeling is so normal. You probably won't really know who you are until your mid 30's and even then you will evolve. The great thing about God is that once you accept Jesus as your savior there is nothing you can do to make him abandon you. So even though you dont believe now he will always be there for you. Maybe once you get a little older you will find your way back home just in a new way that is more acceptable in with your new view point. You can love God and be anyone but we are often taught by extremist Christians you have to live in some certain box to be accepted or loved by God. I guarantee you this is wrong. I watch your channel and many channels but really don't care about your religion. I only want you to be happy as a person so I am glad you are finding your happiness. Please know that the only people who matter are your friends and family. I know you will be ok. Just center yourself and realize that you will be ok. I hope you have some good friends who will always be there for you, being young and finding your sexuality when you are raised extreme Christian can be very hard. Relationships and break ups are hard. Especially when you break up with your old self. The one that people told you to be...not the one you actually are. I used to be Christian and got caught up in church and everyone in it until I realized that the pressure to constantly be worrying about what God thinks of the things we do IS STRESSFUL.. I understand that living a "christian" lifestyle is solely about spreading love and genuinity to people. I am still spiritual and I continue to live the "christian" lifestyle but without the pressure of needing to spread the word of God to everyone I encounter b/c I'm not sure that i believe in "God" anymore. I believe in the forces of the universe that the Christian God work through, like fate and destiny idk. I learned a lot of amazing things about how to treat other people at church but I couldn't handle following a religion that other people wrote. I love spirituality but not all the strict rules and hypocrisy of the people i surrounded myself with as a Christian.

And unless you're mature Christian you don't understand that I certainly did not. But then I realized at the age of 54 when I look back on my life and realized time after time after time again how I was not able to maintain a happy life because of poor decisions based on what I want instead of what God wanted in my life and giving my total life to him and being patient and learning myself etc. this is when I learn these things. I go to church every Sunday and yes there are people in the church that I know are probably not living a life forgot they're just putting on ask for their wives for their husbands to find a girl or a guy thinking that they might find a future partner etc.
Hi, I am so sorry to read about how stressful it was to try to follow God. I Accepted Jesus when I was a teen and started going to church when I was in college, it wasn't easy. I went in and out of church so many times for the past 12 years. I had bad experiences with people at church and I sometimes felt rejected , abandon etc. Today I am married , a mom of 2 and a leader at my church, and I can tell you that it wasn't an easy journey. I also can tell you that if it wasn't for the love of Jesus, I would not be here today. Since I was a young girl I was broken from different types of abuse I suffered, I had suicidal thoughts, I was a slave of self harm and abusive relationships. When Jesus saved me I wanted to be perfect for HIm and I tried so hard, and failed, Thank God there was loving people around me to let me know that He loves me as I am. They told me I just have to accept His love and He will help me with my pain, issues, etc. one step at a time. I had ups and downs and I lost my mom and grandma and then everything else. No matter what happened around me, Jesus always showed me how much He loves me, He used people , The BIble and situations , that always let me know He was always there with His arms opened. It has never been easy, but because of my relationship with Jesus, I have learned to love, forgive, fight for what I want, not to quit ... The most important things I have learned is that even if I loose everything again, He still in His throne and I am Loved, accepted, protected and valued... not because of all the good things I do, but for what He did for me, not because of who I am, but because of who He is. God wants our heart and our obedience, because it will help us to be closer to Him and make better decisions in life. The closer we are to Him, the more honest we are even if we are angry at Him) the louder we can hear His voice, the stronger we can feel His love and forgiveness and HIs peace. Life is full of bad things, but this life is temporary, one day we will be with HIM our Lord. God bless

I'm 21 now and been in a psychiatric hospital 4 times. I know how scary it is and I really feel for you. Overcoming self harm is so difficult but remember relapsing is part of recovery. You will be okay. You have so many people behind you.

As a completely nonjudgmental Christian (whom also cusses ) my heart truly goes out to you and your family. My heart also does break for you and I'm sorry that you have lost your faith. That was a really brave thing to admit and I know where you are coming from. I have struggled with my faith before, it's only human. Sometimes you have to completely start over in order to get everything straight and I do hope that in the future that you rekindle your relationship with God but in YOUR own way, let God guide you. I've been watching your videos for years. I was raised in church and up until I was about 15, it was basically my life. I never had a truly personal relationship with God. I denounced my "faith" and was an atheist for about 5 years. I dated a girl, and did everything my heart desired with no remorse. I don't judge you for where you are but I am 21 now and am a Christian and my life has never been the same since. I've seen the work of God in my life. There is no other explanation. The fact that you feel this way breaks my heart but you have impacted so many lives. You can be who you are and still believe that God is there. I encourage you to at least try really calling out to him because he won't ignore you. God is love and it's sad that so many people are constantly judged because they make one mistake while having the Christina faith. We are granted new souls not instant perfection. Perfection is something we will never achieve. No matter what you decide, I'm praying.

I don't know why but I never felt like my being a Christian has ever made me sad. As a child even up until now. I know everyone is different but somehow I find comfort in it..but this is probably because I focus more on a relationship with God as opposed to listening to judgmental people including believers AND non believers. I've literally witnessed miracles and even my private prayers were at times answered by random people walking past me on the street...I'm sorry that you feel like you have to leave God but I mean the great thing is that he will always welcome us back with open arms. Even if you don't believe its better to keep an open mind towards him just incase. You know?
I remember I saw you at IMATS 2015. I had NO idea who you were, didn't know you had a RUclips channel. I was standing against the wall waiting for my friend and just looking around. I remember making eye contact with you and thinking to myself that you were one of the most beautiful people I had ever seen but I remember thinking that something seamed wrong and you looked sad. I went home and browsed Instagram for #imatsla and saw a ton of pictures of you. That's when I found your channel a subscribed to you. I grew up going to church three times a week and Christian school. When I became an adult I completely walked away from it and rejected it, but then I came back. You have to find out what you believe on your own and you will. I came back to religion but not in the same way as I grew up. You will figure it out. You are young.
I've struggled with anxiety my entire life, and the hardest thing about living with a mental illness is that people look at you and say, "Well you look fine so nothing is wrong with you." If you look at my Instagram page you won't see a page filled with anxiety, but that is my reality. I hope that you find peace in life and I will be praying for you. ❤️

so crazy how people go through similar walks of life. was raised a hardcore baptist and when i hit 19 and experienced freedom in college, i realized i didn't know what i actually believed in and declared myself agnostic. instead of self harm, i got into drugs and partying/raving every single night because i was so lonely. partying was literally my escape. i love you and appreciate this video so much.

No that's not what I said at all. Christians go through hard these just like everyone and it doesn't mean they aren't good enough or aren't doing something. we're all human so we will all hurt. My point is, when you don't rely on God during troubling times it can feel and be so much worse. It feels lonely, it feels uncertain, it feels hopeless. I've been there. When you reply on Him during bad times, it can help give you purpose, hope, and a light at the end of the tunnel.

A few months ago, my 2 year old niece passed away from HLHS (hydro-plastic left heart syndrome) She was born with half a heart.
Then, after her funeral, 1 week later, my sister commited suicide. My heart is broken. I've never had such pain and my panic attacks are worse than ever.
I have struggled with mental illness for my entire life, I am 23 now. I have such anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD. (yes, all diagnosed and I am on medication.)
RUclips has been my happy safe escape. A good healthy distraction for me on my long road to healing. It has helped more than you know.

I just don't understand why people get so involved in youtubers personal lives. People get downright nasty when a blogger misses an upload day or goes away for a little while. There are so many other videos being uploaded constantly that there is always something to watch - I don't understand why people are so negative or write mean things?

As a fellow youtuber who has struggled a lot personally this past year, I agreed with all your points and I definitely understood what you were talking about in regards to figuring out what you believe and sharing certain parts of your life on social media but hiding others. I think it's incredible and courageous that you chose to make this video and I will continue to support you in whatever you choose to do.
Spirituality and religion are two separate things. Questioning things means you're growing up. Keep asking questions, keep growing, and eventually you will find out that not having answers to all questions is totally fine. And don't be ashamed of asking for professional help, that just means that you love yourself and want to take care of yourself. No one should judge you for what you believe/don't believe in. People who truly love you will respect your choices.
Alright. I'm way older than you and I just happened upon your channel a while ago. I never concerned myself with what content RUclipsrs are or are not putting out because I'm busy living my life. Anyone that is that concerned with your life has no time to live their own. What an empty existence that must be for them!! In any case, even though I'm 14 years older than you, I've been where you were and are so to speak, and I was put in a group home for several years. So speaking from a place of experience with the same sort of struggles, I would predict that for right now, periodically it's going to be hard for you to ignore the people who are being negative towards you no matter how much you want to not be bothered by them, and no matter how much you know logically that you shouldn't worry about what other people think, and no matter how much you think that you should be able to ignore it all by your own internal will alone. Don't worry so much about should. So, you asked in this video what I and others as viewers wanted to see from your channel and this is it from my position. I want you to turn off the comments. That way when your not feeling strong you don't have wonder about what is being said in the comments because guess what? Disabled comments function is there for a reason. People don't need to share every shitty thought they have in their head. So then, while the comments are off, I want to see videos of you doing what you want to do. Not what you think people want from you. Not what you feel obligated to give. Do what what is in your heart that gives you joy. If in 6 months or a year you find that your happiness is not conducive to being recorded and broadcast to people who as humans will be unpredictable in both good and bad ways, than you leave RUclips behind and you don't feel bad about it for one second. You participating or not participating in RUclips is not something that anyone should be judgemental about. I'm in the same boat, religion wise. I grew up being a strong Catholic. But as I grew and learned more I started doubting a lot of things. But I still have some of what I was raised with instilled in me. So I have no idea what I believe.
I say we each just focus on being a good person. The only "rule" to follow should be the golden rule :)

We all have our troubles, at times there may seem to be an overwhelming amount of troubles and confusion, but I believe that God doesn't put things in your life that you cannot overcome. Personally knowing that we fail constantly but having a gracious God who loves us unconditionally is where I find my joy and strength, and with that, knowing we can constantly be going to God in complete surrender and asking for help comes with answers and peace and guidance.

All that matters is your heart and your relationship with Jesus. I have struggled with anxiety for years and one thing that I can never run away from is the love of Jesus. Even when you are going through the darkest times, He's never gone. I could never deny that Jesus Christ is my savior because of personal experiences, moments where I have literally felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. I know that you have had those experiences as well. Also, when it comes to mental health UM I AM SO SO SORRY you were not treated seriously! That makes me so angry. this was such a brave video, alison. tons of respect. however i was disappointed when you called your hospital roommate "a schizophrenic." as someone who spent time in a mental institution you should know not to diminish people down to their mental condition. you're not "a cutter." you're a person. your roommate was a PERSON. with schizophrenia. but a person first. thats what your whole video was about, yet you looked down upon someone who has to deal with really scary symptoms every day of their life. so this one year sucked, and youre fortunate enough to be able to take time off to recover. be grateful, grow, learn, and spread loving vibes. i hope your spiritual and mental journey in 2016 is better than last year. :)
There is no such thing as a "perfect" christian. I hope someone's wrong teachings have not effected your love for our savior. It is known that we are sinful creatures in nature and no matter what we do we could never be perfect and that's why Jesus, the son of God, came and lived the perfect life that you and I could never live and died for OUR sins. If you believe in your heart that Jesus is your Lord and Savior who was crucified and paid the penalty you and I deserve, then that is it. Yes, that doesn't mean go and sin all you want because hey, Jesus died for my sins; instead it means I understand the price that was paid, and although I am sinful in nature, no sin is greater than believing in the word of God and my faith in him. Remember as many times as you run from him, he is always there waiting with open arms.

Sweet Alison, I am 58 yrs old and just stumbled across your channel. Ohhhh precious jewel, you are so hard on yourself. You have accomplished so very much at a very young age. Hold your head high. For 58 yrs I have been a Believer, I don't even like to use the word Christian that much any more because in so many circles it sadly has become a trigger word for mean spirited and close minded, and I am so sad to say, I can see why :-( . I once thought I had all of the spiritual answers to everything too, but when my amazing son "came out" to us everything changed. I began to deconstruct and realize that all of the things I had been taught or heard about the LGBT community, simply were NOT true. God has taken me on a completely different path where my heart is more opened up to love than before. I do consider myself a Jesus follower (I like that so much better). Isn't it ironic how my son's coming out taught me how to love better? Life is ironic sometimes. Many of my Christian friends have left me because of my beliefs, but that is ok--I have so many more who love me unconditionally as Christ loves. What ever you believe , there are those who care about you. Please never ever forget that. You will go up and down and all around 100 times in this life with all that it will bring you. It breaks my heart that you say you said you were crying out many months ago and nobody seemed ot hear or understand where you were coming from. I am a boring working mom, nothing special. But I do have two kids, and they are pretty special. Anyway, Alison...I have sat here and watched your amazing videos so that I could help my daughter's dance competition makeup look stellar, like YOU!. My heart breaks for you, that as a young beautiful woman you have had to face so much pain, and have forced to grow up like this, for everyone to see. The only other thing I want to say, is that if you were my daughter or my niece, I would be so super proud of you and I can honestly say that you are a great role model for my daughters. Can everyone PLEASE STOP with the religious comments? She was not her religion, that did not define who she was. Stop saying you'll pray that she finds her faith again, stop saying you'll pray for her to find a meaningful relationship with God, stop telling her that her life will be so much better with faith. It seems like now that Alison knows herself better than she has before. A year ago you could tell how unhappy and insecure she felt with her life, but now she comes across as confident, brave, and sure of herself and her actions.
