@@emilynoel83 agreed, and plz don't apologize for getting upset and crying bcuz most of us do look at u as a friend, and this as a safe space amongst friends. So we love u and support u runny nose and all!!
Em, you're one of the rare unicorns on this platform. So real, so honest, calm, collected, beautiful inside and out, but more importantly, you're one without an agenda. You're in my thoughts. ❤
Whenever you talk about your dad, it makes me feel like he’s one of my patients. I’m a nurse in an oncology hematology office and I see many of the same patients day after day and week after week. I feel like your dad is someone who would make my day every time. You’re so awesome for sacrificing seeing your parents and sacrificing child care and help for the sake of your parents’ health. Other people wouldn’t do that! You’re amazing and such a great daughter, mom, and person.
You are an angel!! Thanks for doing what you do. I'm super thankful for the docs & nurses who have been instrumental in giving him such great care. Thanks for the support!
Your parents raised some lovely daughters and I can see where you learned your parenting skills. There is so much love in your family. Love to your sweet family and prayers for your dad 🌻
My Dad was the bravest person I ever knew! Not only did he serve in WWll at 19 he had long term handicaps some from his injury. He never complained and only worried about my mom and me and my sister. One of his last words was take care of your mom.
I would love a Q&A more often. Compile questions and maybe do a monthly video. You have a very calming and friendly attitude I think we could all benefit from beyond our mutual love for makeup.
I can totally relate to having an empathic son. My second son (who is now 45) has always been that way. He's single father to two tweens and amazes me with how nurturing he is.
Morning Em, greatful to you and your videos. Everytime you mention Gary (your dad) and it's followed by tears makes me tear up. I feel like I've been watching since my daughter was little. I don't often comment but your family specifically your dad is always in my prayers. Take care of yourself.
You son sounds awesome. My son is at boot camp right now. My heart has a pain I have never felt before. I miss him so much. Pray for are son and daughter out there working hard for America. Thanks Emily ❤
Both my sons joined the Army. I get it. God bless you! And thanks to our sons and daughters who are willing to fight for our country. Praying they don't have to. ❤️😉😊🇺🇲
We’ve been dealing with frequent sickness this winter even with trying our best to hydrate, vitamins, get sleep, etc. Makes you appreciate when you can finally breathe normally 😊❤
I'm so glad your dad is near the end of his treatments. Prayers for him and your family. I think with three children, a house to take care of, and your RUclips channel you are one very busy lady. It is hard to keep all the balls in the air.
Aw this was so sweet to read. I have a 13 month old boy and our connection is unreal. I adore my 2.5 year old daughter to pieces but man there is some crazy connection between me and my son, and my daughter and my husband.
I'm so very glad your dad is getting better. Mine has only a month or so left on this earth, but that's okay. Life is precious. We need to make the most of what time we have. Sending love to you and your entire family. It's amazing how much confidence we grow as we get older!! And this is why I love you so much! 😻😻💜💚
God bless you Emily. You are such a good and kind soul, that’s why I’ve been watching you for over 7 years. Still using your 2 palettes. Praying for divine healing and blessings for your dear father. I know your love for him makes all of the difference. 🙏🏻
I lost both of my parents to cancer, my mom four years ago (literally a month before Covid shutdowns), my dad just a few weeks ago. I feel for you and understand your emotions. Your strength and love will help your folks immensely, even if you can’t physically be there all the time. Much love to you. ❤
You never have to a stop being weepy . We love you and care ! We follow you because you are authentic and we can feel through the screen a friendship . If you ever come to Boston or Massachusetts you have lots of friends here !! Sending love and prayers for the whole family ❤
My daughter did a weekend camp when she was young. She absolutely loved it, but she decided it was too much for her. Letting kids experience things and letting them decide on their own is the best.
I hope your dad makes a full recovery. My dad just passed on the 19th. It's so hard when your parents are ill. I'll continue to pray for your dad. Your videos are helping me get through the nights when I can't sleep.
I'm not a Mom but have worked with kids in various capacities for 35 years. You are an absolutely WONDERFUL Mom. I wanted you to know how much I admire you for your parenting. ❤❤❤
Oh Emily this is so dear to my heart to hear about your family’s struggle with lymphoma. I am a travel nurse currently assigned on a blood cancer floor. The patients are truly special, some of the kindest, most grateful I have taken care of in my 4 years of nursing. ❤ prayers to you as I know you are a woman of faith. I have been watching you for a long time and love how openly you speak about the Bible
Good morning Emily!! I enjoy watching your videos so much. I really trust your recommendations and information regarding beauty knowledge. I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I'll keep him and your family in my prayers. Sending you love. Remember if you need to take a break, the one's who really care won't mind.💗💌💕
Such a great video Emily! My girls began dancing at ages 4 and 6. I thought they would like it and would be good for them. I was not a dancer myself. Same thing happened you described. Their 1st teacher said that by about the age of 8-10, a child will know whether or not they want to continue in dance, if it's for them or if they want to do other things instead. Now we have an amazing Christian studio. They're 12 and 14 doing 5 classes a week!!! One wants to be a professional dance teacher and takes advance ballet. The other wants to be a professional stage actress. I continue to be amazed by them, as I support them in achieving their dreams.
Love authentic people - it's my favorite part of your channel. I was not aware of your Dad's health situation. Know he is in my daily prayers! Thank you for the reminder of looking at the world and all that surrounds us with gratitude! Wishing you a blessed day!!
I just hopped on to hear your update. I have watched you since around 2011. I slowed down because makeup isnt a hobby for me anymore, but i think of you everytime I do it. You taught me how to do my makeup from scratch. Now I am a mother too! I am praying for your sweet family and especially your Dad.
Happy Saturday Emily 😊🎉 I wanted to say a big thank you and appreciation how you always reply to so many comments. You hardly see anyone else who gets so many comments be that responsive!! Honestly loads of people with much smaller channels don't reply to comments. It clearly takes a lot of time and it shows you truly care about our thoughts and ideas 😊 that's really special in my opinion. And you have been doing this for such a long time consistently ❤you're a true star
Emily I have watched your videos for years and just love the way you talk to your viewers, how it feels almost like a one on one conversation. Love the part about your son.
It hurts to see you hurting Em😢. I walked through my dad’s stage 4 cancer, and he was like your dad. So positive and never complained. My heart aches for you missing your dear parents. You are acting out of love for them ❤ praying for your dad to heal and that you can be together soon. Amen.
You are the realest beauty content creator I’ve ever seen. That’s why I’ve been following you for 11 years and will continue doing so. Just love you to pieces! ❤❤❤
I think everyone could use some of your inspiration and positive vibes! You have such a sweet attitude and I really get something positive every time I watch your videos!
My son has always been a little empath, too, and it’s still his super-power at age 11. It has been rough for him sometimes, but I tell him that every person is a package deal. His big heart is an amazing strength, but unfortunately it lets him feel both good and bad feelings very strongly, so he’ll have to learn to deal with both. He’s an amazing young man and I’m sure your little man will be, too.
Emily, I have been watching you for years. My heart is with you as a sad but thankful daughter. My mom just incidentally discovered that she likely has cancer on the same week I found out that I’m pregnant with my first child. The mix of emotions has been raw and real, however, if you see this pray that her PET scan tomorrow gives us favorable results. I pray for your dad’s strength through chemo. I pray God‘s mercy be with your entire family on this emotional roller coaster.
Thank you for being a positive (yet realistic!) Light in so many of our lives. I've been in a long season of change in my life and I feel reaffirmed when I watch your videos like this one. Sending love from another midwestern girl just trying her best!
So sorry to hear about your dad's health issues. You guys are so close, I can't imagine how difficult this must be. What a bad time for you to be sick. 😢🙏❤️ My boyfriend would say that your son has "The knack!" He is always touching things, trying to figure out how they work. He never met my WWII Navy Veteran dad, but he is a lot like Papa. (Funny how that works.) Papa had the knack too. He was the head development mechanic for the first 1,000 Horse Power engine designed built by his company for the Marine's OV-10 reconnaissance aircraft. It was redesigned after Vietnam to have "more power". (It was a cool looking plane, small, just large enough to have 4 combat loaded Marines in the back, ready to jump out and parachute into the field. The last guy's legs would be dangling out of the plane until they jumped. I think your son would love that sight!) Papa loved that project, but griped about having to teach "Jarheads" how to tear apart and fix "his" engine! Not bad for a guy with undiagnosed Dyslexia who dropped out of HS in the 10th grade to go to war. My parents and I were fortunate enough to be able to travel together, as adults, after I went on active duty. I can't count the number of times we were at military museums, looking at cool stuff, when we were interrupted by a stern voice saying something like, "Please don't touch the displays, Sir!" My dad would always get a little annoyed and say something like, "Well, if they don't want people to touch this stuff, they shouldn't put it so close to us!" Good memories! Thank you for reminding me, Em! To hear that your son is also so kind and empathetic just really touches my heart. That says a lot about how well he has been nurtured and raised by his loving parents and grandparents! Great job, you guys!! ❤ I always admire your kindness and level of optimism, Em. You inspire me and help me deal with my constant to chronic pain. IMO you have no need to be sorry or apologize for crying or feeling upset during your videos, Em, especially during Q and A's. God made you to be a human being, not a "human doing"! You are perfectly and wonderfully made! Thank you for the reminder about gratitude. It is essential. Thank you from this old, achy Marine! Love you! ❤🎉👍😁
I understand your bond with your parents. I have moved my parents in with me, my husband and our 3 children. I am a 42 year old mom working in special education, trying to be a good Mom and now helping my Mom look after my 75 year old Dad with Alzheimer’s, ALS, and heart failure. I am absolutely terrified of loosing my Dad, he is one of my best friends. It’s so, so hard and heartbreaking to see him fade away from us, but I am so grateful to be apart of his care, to see him every day, and to just be there for my parents when they need support the most. Wishing your Dad good health ❤
I miss my parents too for the same reason. My Dad had chemo in 2022 and again last year. He had one clear scan before the cancer was back. I also know when my mom is okay and not okay. Prayers and hugs 🫂
Oh Emily. I just lost my dad in November, two days before Thanksgiving. He was 63 and had bladder cancer that came back. It's so hard. I completely understand missing Mom and Dad ❤️🙏🏻 so many prayers for you and your family ❤❤❤
Emily I so appreciate what you said about your son. I have a grown daughter and son who I love beyond words. But there is something about my son that touches my heart so deeply. Prior to having and raising him I did not really think about understanding men very much but I learned about men from raising a son It helped me in my understanding in general of men. Wait until your son is taller than you and gives you a bear hug. Nothing like it! Even though he is now 30 yrs old, a police office and recently detective and new father he will always be my little boy ❤️
Hearing you talk about your parents.... man, I started crying. I lost my mom this summer. We were so close. Sometimes talking 20x a day. Man, I miss her. Praying for your dad❤
Oh bless you - i really feel for you with your dad's illness. I actually lost my dad in my 20s (in 1988) and my mum in my 30s (in 1996). Both were strong and had dealt with illness with such strength and humility. I miss them still every single day. Best wishes for a quick recovery to your dad ❤
Emily, you honesty and openness are what make you and your channel special and why I’ve been watching for years! We’ve seen bits and pieces of your parents over the years and they seem like such wonderful people. ( Remember the mailbox changing vlog you did with your dad’s help? Hysterical 😂) I’m sorry you’ve had to keep your distance some nasty stuff going around and it’s better if you steer clear of him. Keep the faith! There’s light at the end of the tunnel!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. It brought tears to my eyes listening to you talk about how much you love and miss your mom and dad. You are so blessed to be part of such a close and loving family. I am praying for your dad. ♥
I absolutely loved this video. You are such a light in the world, your content is so sweet and wholesome. Your dad and family are in my thoughts and prayers. I would love it if you did more Q+A videos, you’re such a genuine person and I could listen to you talk for hours! Thank you for all that you do, Em ❤
Love I can't even tell you about the feeling of having your close love ones suffering with cancer. GOD BLESS YOUR DADDY, YOUR mommy, you and your Beautiful Family..
Sending love & prayers to your sweet Dad for his healing, & of course, you & your entire family. When a loved one is ill, it affects everyone. 🙏🙌 Thank you for being vulnerable and real with us. You're a genuine, good & loving person, & that radiates outward even through RUclips. God bless you, dear one.
I know this video is a few months old but I am just getting caught up. Im so glad your dad is doing good! I want you to know you’re not alone. My son was diagnosed in May 2023 with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and went through 7 rounds of chemo and then a stem cell transplant October 30 and is doing fantastic now. We are still in the every three month PET scans and waiting for his numbers to reach a certain level so we can he take all his vaccines again. I wish your dad all the best with his recovery! And will keep all of you in my prayers.
You are so inspiring ☺️ please do more Q&A’s as your positive attitude makes my day and I love to hear your wisdom ❤️. Praying for your dad today and always 🙏🏻
Out of so many you tubers I watch, you are one of the few that gives me real joy. I think it’s because you remind me to be grateful for simple things instead of wallowing in worry. In my gratitude notes this week, I will be citing genuine people like you. Wishing you a full heart and plenty of sunshine Emily ❤!
Emily I am so sorry about your Dad. Seeing a parent sick is one of the worst things I have been through. I hope he gets through all of this quickly and easily as possible. You are in my thoughts for sure! 💗
I love when you have these q and a sessions. I enjoy listening to your thoughts on your outlook on life because it really resonates with me! Gratitude is key in life and I truly feel we all need to keep that in the forefront of our minds but really practice it! Thank you for motivating us with your words! ❤
Happy Saturday morning Emily! How are you? I am so looking forward to this as I love learning more about you 🤗 It’s been freezing cold here as well, today is 11°! I am planning on staying in and snuggling with my babies! I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your family! 💗
I’m loving the honesty of you and your channel. What you see is what you get, is very refreshing. I think a monthly or every other month Q&A would be awesome. Tons of prayers for your dad & family in general are on their way. And God bless thermal shirts and leggings. I’m with you 100% on that, for I have a 9 month old grandson that I’m on the ground playing with 3-4 days out of the week, that a dressier outfit would not suffice. Thanks for sharing, this was very informative and pleasant to watch.🥰🙏🏼
Your profound thought today is timely! • I have been watching your channel for years and you are SO loved and SO appreciated! • Thank you for all you do behind the scenes to create and maintain this great space- offering realistic approach to all things beauty and life. • Thank you for updating us on your father.
Em-you’re just the sweetest! I get up at 3 am every day to be at work at 430am. I do my makeup every morning and it really makes me feel better and more alive! However, 2 days a week I do sleep in til around 8 and it feels great! I love to sleep!
Our beautiful, caring, and all-around awesome mom, Em, you're the best. You have already learned that you don't have to be the best to be the best you. My mom actually went to Monmouth. We love you. Prayers for your dad. Give the kids an extra hug for all of us out here in YouVerse.
Oh my gosh, Emily. You’re just one of the best people on earth! The kids are absolutely darling, I have loved hearing the stories throughout your motherhood! Sending your pops love and prayers!
Emily, you are a joy.... & you do bring joy to the lives of others! I'm so grateful that you feel like you can share about your Dad. I walked the same road you are walking about 7 years ago... My Dad was amazing... just like yours! Cherish every moment, say I love you as often as you can, make memories & keep praying! Attitude of gratitude is absolutely the best way to approach life! You are loved & cherished!!! Praying for you & yours!
AMEN! Continue prayers for your family, especially your Dad. My Dad passed in 2005 and I still miss him every day. Interesting that I just saw a Zabrena video talking about 5 things to be grateful for. Keeping God first has brought me more blessings than I could’ve ever imagined. May God continue to bless you, Em, as you bless others. God bless everyone!

Please don't apologize for being real. It's another wonderful dimension of who you are. Thank you for letting us in. I love your makeup videos and me and my sister have followed for many years. Evidence are the many Emily-inspired purchases, lol. I would love to see more Q+A shorts. That would be great. All the best to you and your clan ❤

So sorry to hear about your dad's health issues. You guys are so close, I can't imagine how difficult this must be. What a bad time for you to be sick. 😢🙏❤️
My boyfriend would say that your son has "The knack!" He is always touching things, trying to figure out how they work. He never met my WWII Navy Veteran dad, but he is a lot like Papa. (Funny how that works.)
Papa had the knack too.
I can't count the number of times we were at military museums, looking at cool stuff, when we were interrupted by a stern voice saying something like, "Please don't touch the displays, Sir!"
My dad would always get a little annoyed and say something like, "Well, if they don't want people to touch this stuff, they shouldn't put it so close to us!" Good memories! Thank you for reminding me, Em!
To hear that your son is also so kind and empathetic just really touches my heart. That says a lot about how well he has been nurtured and raised by his loving parents and grandparents! Great job, you guys!! ❤
I always admire your kindness and level of optimism, Em.
Love you! ❤🎉👍😁
Thanks for sharing your sparkle with us through the years. Praying for healing for your dad ❤
Emily, you are without a doubt the most relatable, honest, articulate beauty creator on this platform.
You are blessed to have such a close relationship with your parents. Best wishes for your dad's health.
I miss my parents too for the same reason. My Dad had chemo in 2022 and again last year. He had one clear scan before the cancer was back. I also know when my mom is okay and not okay. Prayers and hugs 🫂
Feel better Emily! Thanks for the video ❤️
Thank you for watching, Melinda!
This video is exactly why I have watched your channel forever - you are so real and vulnerable with us. Grateful for you. Praying for your dad🙏🏻
Praying for your dad to beat his cancer. ❤🙏 You and your whole family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Just love Saturday mornings because of you! Feel better soon. 🙏
Thank you!!
I have followed you for many years and honor your authenticity, your heart and example. I’m praying for your dad
Hearing you talk about your parents.... man, I started crying. I lost my mom this summer. We were so close. Sometimes talking 20x a day. Man, I miss her. Praying for your dad❤
This was so sweet and inspiring. Love you back, Emily
5:34 three kiddos, career, family- you are a superwoman. Lean into that❤
thanks, Katie!
"view the world in awe, and you will not be bothered" your words and perspective are wise and beautiful! Thank you for being YOU Emily!
Love I can't even tell you about the feeling of having your close love ones suffering with cancer. GOD BLESS YOUR DADDY, YOUR mommy, you and your Beautiful Family..
You are a ray of light! Truly! I'm grateful for your content!! Thank you!! ☀
Thank you Kim! You are kind!!
Sending love & prayers to your sweet Dad for his healing, & of course, you & your entire family. When a loved one is ill, it affects everyone. 🙏🙌
Thank you for being vulnerable and real with us.
Emily you do not have to stop getting weepy with us, we love you and it is a wonderful gift for someone to trust enough to share their vulnerability.
Good morning Emily! Love Q and A videos!!!
Good morning!!
You are so inspiring ☺️ please do more Q&A’s as your positive attitude makes my day and I love to hear your wisdom ❤️. Praying for your dad today and always 🙏🏻
You have the most genuine, kind spirit. The world would be lucky to have more you in it. Wishing your dad a speedy recovery
You are a gem Em. We love how real you are.❤ I am saying prayers today for your family.
Greatly appreciate that!! Thank you!
You Tube could use alot more people like you on here !!
aw thanks :) :)
Oh Emily. I’m in tears over your talking about your dad. You are so brave and so sweet and I’ll keep praying for you and your family. Big hugs 🫂
Emily I am so sorry about your Dad. Seeing a parent sick is one of the worst things I have been through. I hope he gets through all of this quickly and easily as possible. You are in my thoughts for sure! 💗
Love you Em! Prayers for continued strength for your family ❤
Thank you so very much
I love when you have these q and a sessions.
Sounds like a great day - probably the same in store for me! :D
Prayers for your mom and dad and you! Thank you for your willingness to share. Your little girl coming in was so sweet. ❤

Em-you’re just the sweetest!
I get up at 3 am every day to be at work at 430am. I do my makeup every morning and it really makes me feel better and more alive!
However, 2 days a week I do sleep in til around 8 and it feels great! I love to sleep!
I love these "Life Lessons with Emily" talks!!
You are so blessed to have a wonderful relationship with your parents! Praying for you dad 🙏
You are my favorite Influencer but I feel you are friend. Its so calminng and refreshing to watch your videos. You are a true and honest person. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us. I send prayers, hugs and many blessings to you and your family.❤
Em, I just love your videos. Even if I don’t have interest in a product (mostly high end stuff) I watch because of you and your realness. Praying for you and your family. Thank you for bringing joy and entertainment and knowledge to my life!
