I think the Pom Pom would work a little better if they had you prep the tying yarn on the llama before wrapping the legs. Even tying a single loop in the same spot as the tassel (legs to ears). Then cut it free and tie the yarn bundle with it.
Yeah, you def need a picker. I always just use a small sized crochet hook. Pretty sure it would have worked perfectly if you had used a hook. You finished the icord perfectly! Tip - place your tying thread in position before winding your yarn around the legs. Then all you need to do is tie the thread. Alternatively thread a needle with some spare thread to get into the gap for the pom pom. I always double loop my thread when tying, its less likely too loosen after letting go. When making a tassel, after winding thread around thread a needle with the winding yarn and thread through the centre of the tassel (which should be tight) and trim it with the other tassel threads. Might have to get one, thanks
Good morning, Shannon.

When making the pom pom, it would be easier to add the long length of yarn to it first and then wind the yarn on top of it.

Oooo thanks for the tip! I’ll try it!
Llama seems complicated and hard to control for the cord.
Looks way to fussy for me to use
