    Im glad to see these getting more exposure outside of the tactical timmy community and I also like to see someone else using it in handheld mode while mounted on a helmet. When you do so the first click on the power button will NUC and subsequent clicks cycle through the magnification range. I can’t tell how many hundreds of miles Ive walked and driven employing it like that.
    A couple comments about statements in this video: you don’t need to use the machinegun mount to employ the RH as a clip on unless you need a higher mount to align with your day optic. The 2 ADM mounts put it about 1.5” high and the included machine gun mount is closer to 1.9”
    There isn’t any audio included on my RH25 via an internal mic. I need to record via the ap with the phone’s mic enabled if I want audio. I am not aware of any newer RH units that may have got an internal mic

      These do not have audio recording, they are discontinued now.

      @@outdoorlegacy Ok well I heard they where being phased out once stock is gone for a new unit coming at shot I guess we will see. Nice thermal though.

    • @outdoorlegacy
      @outdoorlegacy  10 месяцев назад +1

      That is very possible and I wouldn’t doubt it but they just haven’t told us about a new replacement yet and the number of units they told us they have coming in over the next 45 days was staggering so they have a lot to move through and according to iRay USA production is in high gear currently. But they may have something up their sleeve for SHOT, they just haven’t mentioned it to us yet. Thanks!

    Nice review 👍 I’m thinking of using it as a clip on, does it have a sleep mode where I can hit a button to wake it as I bring it up? Or does it have to be in constant on? Thanks

    • @outdoorlegacy
      @outdoorlegacy  10 месяцев назад

      Yes sir it does. There’s a two button combo that will put it in and take it out of clip on mode. Feel free to give us a call, we’d love to have your business.

    You mentioned using a cable with a 7 pin fisher connection with a USB connection to a “backup battery pack”. So we can run an external battery pack? Also, when running a battery pack, do we remove the 18650 battery? Thank you.

    I'm in the market for a dedicated clip-on. I'm torn between this and the Bering Optics Super Yoter C. What is your opinion of this RH25 vs the Yoter C as a clip on out to 200 yards on coyotes and hogs?

    • @outdoorlegacy
      @outdoorlegacy  9 месяцев назад +2

      Being 100% honest with you…I wouldn’t suggest any clip on that is available on the hunting market today. Not one of them.
      With that said, it needs to be noted the RH25 only works with 1x base mag scopes like a LPVO. The Yoter C will work MUCH better with a very low (1x or 2x) daytime optic but at least Bering does have attachments for other day optics.
      But again, just being honest, there’s less than a 0% chance I’d spend this kind of money and buy a clip on. I’d rather buy a cheaper 384 or 640 resolution optic and spend the extra on a dedicated rifle for the setup. You’d be way way ahead when it comes to performance, usability, image quality and resale value. Just our 2 cents!

    Whats the specs on the battery pack and cable to be able to run with auxiliary power

    • @outdoorlegacy
      @outdoorlegacy  9 месяцев назад

      Any normal USB battery pack that will run a cell phone or other USB device will run the RH25, nothing special needed. We usually run Anker battery packs. The cable needed comes with the RH25 and has an odd 7 pin plug on the end that goes to the scope. It’s a stiff cable and longer than it needs to be but the other end is USB so you can plug it into the battery pack. Thanks for watching!

    Question. Do reticles on oray and pulsars recenter after zeroing? I run agms and say for example you stary wuth your x and y on 0 and u hit high and right. Then you move your reticle to poi that is high amd right amd save parameters. The reticle stays there and does not recenter. Its all fine and dandy and works fine it just looks really weird whe looking in a scope and the reticle is no where near center. Just curious if ither brands recenter?

    • @outdoorlegacy
      @outdoorlegacy  9 месяцев назад

      No current brands re-center. If your reticle is way off center like that you likely either have a mounting issue, a rail problem, a rifle problem or a scope that isn't correctly collimated. Most of the time if you're zero is within a normal movement you won't notice it's off center. It will still be off center but you won't notice it. But once you make those long adjustments you're definitely going to see the reticle being off to one direction.
