- I've been slacking on Milwaukee, so it's time to buckle down and get it done. The Milwaukee catalog might be the biggest catalog I've ever had to work through, especially for accessories. Luckily they're willing to work with me and we're going to be building out our own accessory kits.

Matt, get a small CNC machine and find a company that you can get the right foam from, maybe see who Sonic is using, make your own shadow foam organizers with the OG logo on um, maybe go with a black and gray since no one else is using that color, maybe black and red for the Milwaukee stuff, do up all your cordless drills, battery packs, bits etc. You could put together an entire kit and include the foam insert to go right along side the Sonic stuff ;)
I'm a tax lawyer in Texas and spend a lot of my (rare) free time making lists just like this for tools, cars, shooting sports, camping equipment, etc. I love using the tools and other things but enjoy the organizational process and designing the infrastructure just as much. It's cool to see a fellow obsessive list-maker and organizer in action. Keep it up.
SO glad to come across you guys. I thought I was crazy to have a surgical ocd towards tool organization. I feel much better now. Currently designing a five car garage for myself cant wait to use your products. Keep going with the drawer/packout organization ideas for whole milwaukee lineups because myself and many guys I know will be placing the order. I need the one for all do all solution that includes every bit and accessory needed for a car/motorcycle personal garage.
I'd love to get Milwaukee, but all the kits they have are so mismatched. Can they do a simple automotive kit to build upon? A set of 1/4 and 3/8 M12 wrenches, then 1/2 M18 impact gun for wheels and large bolts, a set of spare batteries and large charger, and finally a set of impact sockets, extensions, etc.
Matt- you could repurpose the M18 hard case to fit an insert in for accessories on the go. I never use my hard case s any more. Just a thought.
Big Porsche Bro, Little Honda Bro. Who give a damn! If you have all the tools in your garage you are a cool bro!
I have been wanting this so badly, though I don't know if you're the right person I am glad you are taking on the challenge. The biggest thing is a full assortment of every 1in (maybe 2 of every) and 2in bit, and an assortment of extensions. That is the one kit I would buy right now to be able to get rid of my 4 shockwave driver boxes that all have the same thing and nothing at all. No nut drivers, no sockets, just impact bits.
I'd be down for having the "everything" kit in 2-4 of the half-size packout cases. Would be annoying to carry around a full size when you may only need a couple bits
So I got in late on your live show the other day, your moderator read my text and you guys talked about it for a sec, I guess I missed the other part. I was talking more tool combos. They offer one M12 combo I'm interested in, the 2596-22 is a M12 Fuel 1/2" Drill ($119HD) 2503-20 and M12 Fuel 1/4" Hex Impact ($129HD) 2553-20 with a 2.0ah & 4.0ah, charger and bag ($229HD, on sale $199). The next combo I wished they offered was M12 Fuel 1/4" Impact Wrench 2452-20 ($159HD) and M12 Fuel 3/8" Impact Wrench 2454-20 ($159HD) with maybe a couple 3.0ah and charger. Then an extended ratchet combo with boots, M12 Fuel 1/4" Extended 2559-20 ($239HD), boot 49-16-2559 ($29HD), M12 Fuel 3/8" Extended 2560-20 ($229HD), boot 49-16-2560 ($29) with a 2.0ah & 4.0ah and charger. And the last combo is the stubby ratchet 3 piece set, M12 Fuel 1/4" Ratchet 2556-20 ($179HD), M12 Fuel 3/8" Ratchet 2557-20 ($199HD), M12 Fuel 1/2" Ratchet 2558-20 ($199HD) with a 2.0ah & 4.0ah and charger. Call those 3 combos OGA, OGB & OGC Mechanics Combos.
Had Milwaukee tools for years, best i ever had and tried.
Good to see you back on track super master kit yes yes need to have
Love to see if you got it all and how it’s organized
Hey matt. I confidently confirm the milwaukee drills are built STRONG & SOLID! i wear a shoulder belt harness to carry my tools. My m12 surge has popped out my holster, dropped and flipped about 50 times so far and they still work perfectly. Nothing has cracked or broken off other than usual wear and tear marks from daily use. Man wen it comes to milwaukee.. i cant ever compliment then enuff!
Milwaukee’s power tools are great but their bits and sockets are far from OG spec IMO. There are so many companies putting out much higher quality stuff for the same price
I feel the same the Milwaukee impact bits are troublesome when I’m using my rigid impact driver
I use makita xps bits. There great
Yup, Matt should look at German made stuff like Wera. High quality tools.
Thanks for al that work, you make many people happy, because I'm sure they are searching avery time for the right Toole in their workshop. Thank you Mike...top 🤗🍀
I see a bit of dust on your designer vise, did you not coat it
that vise looks amazing
I like that vice.....what brand?
Ha, ha... It's aluminum.

This is amazing, consider me your first customer for this.
Milwaukee is gonna make this man go broke but I love it! 😂
The tool guy needs the OCD guy to get this together, and that’s Matt!
Matt, I think you have a great direction on this stuff. I could definitely use a sub category of torx bits and other crap. I have a KTM 1190 R, mountain bike, land cruiser, Tundra, and all sorts of other weird crap. I am 33 and hit a point where I'm sick of paying a mechanic 200 bucks an hour for crap I can learn to do with good tools.
Can you make your own "Packout" pack? with hand tools with your own build? Not everyone has huge drawers and room to put all the stuff you have in a dream garage
A potential solution for both a pack out kit and something that fits in the drawers; Milwaukee makes the best socket set where it is a hard shell case to take on the road and an insert that you can take out and put in a drawer. I’m sure you know this but just saying. This is gonna be an amazing kit I’ll be the first buyer.
Great idea Matt! Love the Milwaukee line.
Request:
Build a small section into the packout insert you're designing for "extra" or "duplicate" bits, or the bits/sockets that each of us individually may need multiple of on the event one of them strips out or falls behind a wall cavity/etc. For the various trades that could benefit from this solution, that'd be a lifesaver.
organizing bits sounds like a recipe for a breakdown...
Looks like you have plenty of tools in stock for the holidays, god bless
Im stuck with the same problem, i want one box with all those 210 in this case accessories. Problem is a complete kit doesn't exist as you said. What would be handy is like a bigger size of the small kit box you showed. which when you fold it open, you can just put in your drawer there with all pieces organised and named/numbered. If you take the box out of the drawer you can close it and take it with you :D. However I was checking how many different bits and bit sizes an variants exist. Its more then the 210 Milwaukee has available at the moment. So some sizes of lets say a Philips bit wont be available. Which kinda still would bother me cos its still not a complete kit .... but better one proper 210 ish kit in a handy box then those 40 piece missing most kits.
A good kit would be a drill/impact combo but do a m18 drill with an m12 impact, I never use my m12 drill or m18 impact but bought each one in a combo because it was a better deal.
Nut busting is loosening, which is usually higher than the tightening torque on an impact wrench.
He’s saying the nut busting numbers are best case scenario in bench top testing with no rust or friction increasing elements on the threads. In the real world, you really should be using something rated for 250ft-lbs for bolts under 125ft-lbs or lower day to day. It has to impact way too long if you’re using it to loosen, say 200 ft-lb bolts consistently. Not that it can’t do it, just not efficient.
Lock the sonic drawer with the bits 😂
They actually did launch those carbide bit things I think, but only a few people got them and then they realized that the design was flawed and immediately discontinued them. I think one of the tool review channels did a story about it.
I love Milwaukee tools, Great job coming up with a custom kit
I one hundred percent agree!
Oh my god. I know the struggle! ...”2 packs, 4 packs, etc.” But I only want one!
Why not dewalt I have all dewalt tools would love to stay with brand but LOVE your idea
What happened to the old orange vise
*sniff sniff* yeah this smells like rich
should just go to kaizen foam and have them make you a custom version of their pack out insert since they already do them!
can't wait for the OG kits to come out.. I have been holding off on buying any Milwaukee gear until I see your kits. I think Its time I pull the trigger on Blk Friday! Appreciate the work and info!
A packout stocked with bits would be awsome. I would ignore the sockets as they skip too many sizes. Stick with Sonic.
i use my mid torque for lug nuts all day long
For the love of God please find a storage solution for the m12 oscillating tool and accessories. I am begging you. Something besides a pack out.
Like something 3D printed?
@@JakeOfALL something besides a pack out box that holds the tool and some of the accessories for it.
Check out Vimm Tools “Mr Bit Base” I’ve got all of my Milwaukee accessories in 4 of the mrbitbase magnetic caddies. They are slick and high quality. My live stuck to the inside front top drawer of my main box. And you can always pull it off and stick it to a jack stand, lift, or near whatever you are working on. I look forward to seeing what solution that you find to work best for you! Thanks fir all the great videos, love seeing your take on the tools we all love....
look at wera for sockets and driver bits they come in smart little pouches and the quality is much better than milwaukee
Not an experiment anymore boys... weyre in deep😂
I have been wondering why Milwaukee, DeWalt or Makita don’t have a complete set of bits and such. And oh yea Jake of All is great.
I hope Milwaukee drops their margin for the amount of $$$ you are going to make them.
@jakeofall is great! He will give you some great packout solutions
A Packout setup is going to be amazing!
Can you get Milwaukee to let you sell the Packout setup from Europe? (They come in black) 👍
$200/electric impact tool is snap-on money. Same with the cost of the bits... Am I missing something?
Milwaukee impacts are miles better than private labeled Snap-on stuff.
They will laugh at you now but be jealous when Milwaukee offers you $10,000,000 for your idea
Get rid of the PR & PRZ bits, as well as all but 2 of the slotted bits, and your count will be down a bit. Nobody will EVER use those, so they don't want to pay for it.
First 🙂
hmm interesting how we OCD people all think a like :D
Pretty simple. Just buy it all from Milwaukee. Seriously not that hard.
Lot's of love and support from India ❤️🔥💯
