Buying a boat vs investing the money, the real financial impact. Boats keep you broke !!

Running the numbers between buying and owning a boat and investing in global index funds.
This comparison assumes you're financing a $200.000 boat over 15 years, at 6% interest. It also assumes the option would be to spend whatever you're using at the boat for investing each month in a global index fund instead.
The difference to your finances in this example is shocking. After 15 years the boat owner has very little to show for, while the investor has more than $850.000 to his name!
I love boats and boating, and admit I'm irresponsible enough to say "buy the damn boat". You can save all the money you want, but ending your days in a retirement home regretting never getting the boat seems like a waste.
None of the numbers in this video are 100% accurate, neither am I a financial advisor or boat expert. The point is to show how different your finances are depending on your choice.

My boat didn't cost me that my cat body used it's only like 12 foot aluminum 5 horsepower motor and it works great and I've owned it for 10 years and never gave me any problem for them and it's the best investment I made and I've had fun with him I like going fishing

Yeah, there are luckily plenty of cheap options to get out on the water. But the normal family boats are definitely growing in size and price. Comfort for the family cost $$ ...
