Recently I'm learning CNC so I thought maybe I could make a pen with a CNC mill. The design goal is to mill this pen out of one piece of material. It should be light weight, have open slots to see how much ink left, and stay minimal. The plan is to make the stock and fixture, then flip it 4 times running the same gcode. It worked for most of the part, but when it came to the fourth side, the material I chose(mahogany) wouldn't hold the vibration and broke apart. I had to finish up with a lot of sanding. Next time I should try a different cutting strategy, maybe cut the slots first, then finish up with a lathe :D, or different material.
It was fun and you can obviously see I made a lot of mistakes which equals to great experience! I hope this can give you some inspiration and feel free to shoot me a message!
    Thanks for watching!
