The only people who like emporium cosmetics are noobs and newbs. Go earn some cosmetics to be proud of in-game. Gold store cosmetics with no challenge to unlock are just as cringe. Go earn the mysterious strangers outfit or something.. everyone experienced in sot is gonna know you’re bad at the game if you wear emporium stuff. You get 250 free coins every season, use them on 99-coin emote sales. Only emotes are worth getting
Idk if you noticed, but every faction now has prestige levels and you can unlock a lot of new cosmetics.
Also they added a lot of new trinkets and trinket spots.
And they added varients of a lot of swords.
New clothing also
All of that you can buy with gold.
Of course there are also emporium updates, because it is still a business that needs to pay the devs and invest money into the game, so you can cry about the emporium updates, but the reality is that that is what keeps the game running in the end.

Things I saw that could possibly be new features:
New throwing knife skin?
The red ball Flameheart is holding could possibly be sold for a good amount (maybe it comes with the new flameheart ship when you take it over)
New reaper loot? (Also some loot that could be given when you take over flamehearts ship)
You all know the little wooden ships on the emmisarry tables? I saw 2 ashen looking ones (possibly a new emmisarry or revamped reaper one)
A weird looking skull (possibly flamehearts skull or something)

Also Rare, there should definitely be an option to enable friendly fire for crews in the 'my crew' tab to let crews duel to get better at PvP and for fun when sailing long distances or to deal with that annoying crewmate! To stop trolling in open crew, all members of the crew have to vote to toggle friendly fire (like vote to brig/scuttle etc) or each individual pirate enables it for themselves but others have to enable it before they can do damage to each other.
Could make the more lengthy sails feel a bit less tedious. This feature does not work across crews, other crews can do damage to other crews whether their friendly fire is on or off. Seem like an interesting idea?
A while ago they said they were looking at adding crew sparing, but I don’t think there has been any more info yet.
