How to shutdown your IBM Storwize V7000 (HD)

This video will show you how to shutdown and power off your Storwize V7000 using either the GUI or the CLI.
It presumes your host servers are already shutdown.

When power is restored, if the on buttons are on, then the machine will power on automatically. Your comment about the flat batteries is correct. This is described in the Storwize V7000 Information Center under "Maintenance discharge cycles"

When Power is restored after maintenance, does the cluster start automatically or is manual intervention required?
From what I have read, if you do not shutdown the unit the way you describe the cache battery can run flat (if extended outage). When Power is restored IO will not be served until the batteries are recharged (mentions .. could be hours). Good to know.
